Gran Turismo 7 Livery Editor - General Discussion Thread

MMX
Think I'm up to 15 pages. Brought 10 over from GTS. Wish there was a way to arrange them better. The Favorites folders help, but still have to refer to the main one sometimes, and it's a mess.
Same. I'm trying to arrange my favourites folders better, but regularly have to go back and use the main folders...

Cool, I honestly wanted to buy a 2nd AMG GT-R at some point to do that. Make it into the GT4 or in this case the Gr.4 version.
I know the game is ongoing, but goodness, wouldn’t take long to make one for the Sport Mode people.

Speaking of AMG, Craig Lowndes ’23 B12H livery, for those that want to be ready. Pretty much all angles needed.

Heard about it, but never experienced it (PS5).
Is there a fix for this? I saved quite often so no real work lost but was wondering if there are tips to avoid.

I started on a Ken Block tribute livery last night, on the Mustang Gr.3 Road Car. I struggled with making the stripes manually so I've just made a couple of SVGs for it, one as a pattern and one as a single stripe. I'll finish it up tonight.

Wheel choice for this one is also tricky. The wheels on the original Hoonicorn V2 are some American Racing wheels we don't have, and there's nothing like them in the editor. I really wish they would expand these parts, especially the brands with fewer wheels like American Racing and Motegi (and add Rotiform!!!)

Is there a way to apply a paint color and decal to the grille area where the GT7 cursor is pointing at in this picture?

You can see editable areas by pressing r3. It will highlight in blue the areas affected by that category. So, go to other on the left and click, it will show you everywhere you can place a decal.

On some cars you can use a decal on the "Other" area and it'll fill the grill. You'll have to try that to see if it works. Otherwise, nope.

Ahh, I see. Thanks, I'll give that a shot then!

I'm trying to create liveries for my "own" team again, called "Razgriz Stars". I found this nice font, so I thought 'why not'? This is a modified GTO tuned to 700pp. A fun car to win Le Mans!

I'm also trying to learn how to make proper user of gradient decals. Coincidentally, I was trying to make a livery with the Cheetos logo and I found a wrap decal with the same colors! Using cuts here and there I got this:

It's good enough for a quick Le Mans race, but I really wanted to see if I could recreate the gradient by myself. So using the wrap as a base, I started adding decals above it, trying to match the colors and gradient:

Would you guys say it looks identical? I'm pretty happy with the results! One thing that is "fixed", but not present on these shots is the little black triangle below the number. The final version has an orange/yellow triangle on both sides, which makes a more smooth transition to yellow.

I haven't experienced it yet either, but here're the solution of this problem based on the other guys' reports.
It's unknown whether if there's any way to avoid it, but if the car doesn't show up, select "Load Style", download the other guy's style, DON'T apply it on your car and get back.
If that doesn't work, it still may be able to be fixed with download the other guy's editable style, apply it on your car and edit the livery of it. Someone reported that it showed the livery which you were making, instead of the one from the downloaded style.

Made some BTCC classic rip off's.
Might have butchered some.
