I can't even read the article, it keeps giving me a white screen when I click it with no indication that it's loading :indiff:

So the biggest issue I had with GTSport's single player mode, the terrible opponent driving, still exists? Lovely. I don't know how you build a racing game and then have the AI cars brake on the apex of corners, but PD managed it.

Clarification, when the PS5 performance mode is set to frame rate, the replays on the PS5 still run at 30FPS?

Since I'm not an elite racer, I can live with AI that's beatable.

The real question for me is whether the AI make mistakes. I guess I'll find out on Friday but I'm wondering if any of you has seen the AI make mistakes that cause them to go off track?

They did this in GTS looked cool but it was scripted In my opinion… it was rarely where I felt I made the AI make a mistake with pressure.

No, they're at 60.

It was hard to draw any conclusions watching any of the streamers videos, because of the quality & neither of them ever spent much time showing replays.

They didn't in any of the events someone streamed the last few days. They can't really afford to or it'll mess up the catch up format. Maybe they will in grid races or custom races.

Just watch Digital Foundry's video, it's all explained there.

Really disappointing to hear about the AI and it sounds like the same old braking patterns are in play.

Not so great as well is the lack of remodeled old tracks I'm hearing. I really thought after it was lacking in GT5/6 and Sport this would be much better for GT7?

GT Sport leaves me really cold on PS4 Pro, I've barely played it and been out the loop on GT7. I'm surprised to see there's not that much activity on this forum the past two years considering the pandemic and how gaming as exploded. I was hoping to get up to speed on racing wheels but that section is pretty much dead.

I’m so ready. Amazing review. I could feel the excitement in certain words.
I was hyped before but now even more. I have to dust off(literally. Gonna need to buy some compressed air) the PS4!

See you all on the track — and in the livery editor competition, once @Jordan has time to PM me his theme. :D (no rush, no rush, get some sleep!)

Thanks ~@GTPlanet~ for the extensive review of this new Gran Turismo entry !
Fair and square as always.
No comment on the game itself except that friday I will never be out of work as soon as wanted which means having to work at ALL is a bummer!
Have fun times people and see you on the tracks !!!
If you need me to call you out of work let me know I got you!

Yes.

They do.
Thank you for the response 👍. Going further into it, does it apply sound changes to EVERY car you've tried or just some? Second and final point, how would you scale the sound difference between different exhaust options, is there a considerable difference between say "sport" exhaust and an "extreme" race spec one in terms of volume and note? I absolutely want to rice the hell out of some of the city cars just for fun 😁.

Haha if only but my mates know that I am a single man living alone no wife or kids to emergency pull me out of this if you come up with something on friday I will ping you my mobile phone maybe you are ressourcefull type of American huh

Hey, what about the music? I need to know if I can experience nirvana listening to some sweet jazz while looking at my beautiful Evolution IV :sly:

This part "I finally started to feel that familiar sense of ownership and pride in the cars in my garage" is all I wanted to hear, most especially if said car is from the used dealership

Really hoping for seasonal events. Tuning and customizing my car until I could beat those events was my favorite thing to do in GT6.

Would geniuenly be surprised if engine swaps have been canned.

@Famine what was the Scapes movie feature?
Engine swaps were never officially confirmed. Ultimately a screenshot with an engine name, whole yes it's convincing, there could be a number of reasons why that was the case.

They dedicated sections to bodykits and tuning, livery editor etc during SoP, but not engine swaps.

Perhaps there is just simply more to unlock and find than anyone has had time to do, time will tell.

They didn't state it outright but the SoP was VERY suggestive. If that screenshot of the engine name appeared somewhere and that was it it'd be less of a big deal but that section of the video was clear.

"We have prepared approximately 60 types of performance parts per car"

The video then shows upgrades being applied to a 911, all stuff we can do in the game. It then cuts to the Beetle and says "Let's actually try it then". That is very clear, they're going to try something you can do in game. They cut to the tuning menu and the Porsche engine is already applied. They upgrade some other parts, then show a side by side video of the original car and the upgraded one.

The upgraded side is visually and audibly running the Porsche engine. The fact that we seemingly can't actually do that is surely nothing but misleading. I have to assume it's coming in an update and was included in the SOP in error, or they thought it'd make launch and didn't.

"
It’s basically a timed-checkpoint rally mode which encourages you to drive and “keep up” with the beat of the music.
If that sounds a bit strange, well, it is. I didn’t understand the concept when I first learned about it, and after playing it, I still don’t."

😂😂😂😂😂😂
