Sophy is not so bad. I can't win her in monoclass (GT2 for example) in hard Sophy mode. I can win Sophy on soma road cars in hard mode. Sophy is not so bad, but I don't like this difficulty ballance. AI in Forza Motorsport 2023 is not so clever, but it give me a chance to win

Finally!!! They have done it!!! You can now choose the car from your garage before starting a race in Arcade/custom race mode

Thanks Yamauchi! Thank you so much!!

I had no hope that they would fix this but they have!!

I'm very happy

The new options are great

Now yes! Gran Turismo 7 is complete :)

If there is any cons it would be not being able to customize the HUD or that there is no filter when it rains

But otherwise it's perfect

Just as a Lamborghini Diablo appears in the used car dealership, which i have the credits for, I’ve got to spend my 3 hour evening gaming slot installing this update. There’s been nothing but rubbish in the used cars for a week. Timing!

Check out one of the threads about custom race payouts. You can make nearly 1m credits in a 20 min race... It's not exactly a hard slog for credits anymore.
increased pay out is good yet really hope Sophy get better and extended..because after all majority of us after more then one year have already enough credit ro purchase what they need (except the 20 M cars) and more credit in Gt7 not helping me to pay the mortgage... ultimately I am interested in driving experience and less on credit payout...imho

All this complaining about Sophy is weird... It's like, despite all the press release info etc., people still don't understand how it is developed and how difficult it is to fine tune and roll out...

You have to remember this is the first proper iteration of Sophy, it's not an easy thing to implement. It's clear they're investing time and resources to it, there's a good chance that we see a gradual increase in events and modes that support Sophy.
correct.. but then instead of Sophy perfection in 2025 can i ask PD to give us something more simple like an ACC AI in between.. just to live ad interim.... please... i cannot stand no more rubber banding, the 90 % opponents throttle and those tyres adoption inconsitencies...this has been going on since the earliest GT release and never fixed

Is it the same problem as in this thread:
Had that last night but a clear of cache n database soon sorted it.

Snow track is a trash. Dirt 1-2 were better in 2008. I think PD should add normal race tracks, not for Forza Horizon.
Sophy is good, but only for several tracks and only for 2-3 laps (we can't choose anything excepting weather.
5 week events aren't impressive, but not so bad.
World Touring Car 900 is great. I just won one racet on Super Formula without pit-stops. I hope that several cars will fit for these events.
New License is boring at the beginning, but I hope that super license will be interesting.

PD should remake physics, cos I don't like it after FM. It's too easy to drive on all cars, not only Gr2, Gr1 and Formula. Physics is the only thing that make GT7 looks not so good today. Maybe PD should and 2 options: "normal physics" and "realistic physics". It's pitty that every Ferrari car is so easy to drive.

I think that PD makes ballance manually for every race event in career. Cos opponents in World Touring Car 900 are really fast. I tried to bit them on Gr2 class and it was a disaster! I think it's impossible to win it by Gr2. But Ai with Road Cars is much slower than Gr2, Gr3 cars at the same time.

As for the increased payouts for Arcade/Quick Races, if the screenshot that's part of the hype is a guide, that appears to be less than meets the eye. The screenshot used Grand Valley and the Ford GT LM Race Car (which has the same PP as the stock version on the stock RH tires), has an advertised 220% bonus (for a Collector Level of 37 and an unknown Circuit Experience level), and a maximum reward (not counting CRB) of 26,300 Cr. with Sophy available. The current Arcade payouts (not counting CRB) for winning a 3-lap race with said Ford are 3,672 Cr. for beginner, 4,506 Cr. for Intermediate and 8,129 Cr. for Professional, which I could probably do in just under 6 minutes (based on my Gr.4 performance there).

That leaves a few questions that can't be answered until tomorrow:
  • Does that 26,300 Cr. include the 220% bonus? If so, that suggests a base of just under 12,000 Cr. for beating the best version of Sophy.
  • How much of a bonus does having a CL of 50 and an all-gold CE (which I have at every current track) give?
  • Related, is the CE bonus cumulative (i.e., the more tracks you have a gold/bronze CE at, the bigger the bonus at every track) or specific to a track (i.e., if you have gold at that track, you get a bonus at just that track)?
Time to answer those questions, and a few others:
  • The base payouts did increase ever so slightly to 3,700 Cr./4,600 Cr./8,200 Cr. for a 2-lap (3-lap on professional level) race at Grand Valley Highway 1 (I forgot to mention in the original post that it was the Highway 1 normal layout) with a stock Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II), and apply to both the regular and Sophy AI.
  • The maximum reward does include the bonus, and is based on a professional-level race at the highest-paying layout (at Grand Valley, that's Highway 1 Reverse 3-lap race, which pays just a bit better than the normal Highway 1 layout).
  • The cumulative bonus for Collector Level 50 (which is still the max) and 100% Circuit Experience (all-gold in my case) is 400% (200% each for CL and CE), which quintuples the payout for a professional run to 40,700 Cr. (not including the clean race bonus).
  • That CE bonus is track-specific - since I didn't hit the new ice track yet, my bonus level is only 200% there.
At the professional level and max bonus, it brings Quick Races to right around the 700,000 Cr./hour average of the curated races that aren't the Grindy Four.

PD choose a strange way for GT7. They need to do everything simple. The Game should be like constructor with normal AI, and everything should work everywhere.
And what we get?
1. We can use Sophy only in 7-8 race out of 38 and not all cars.
2. Rain is still not available in the most of tracks
3. AI difficulty is not the same for different classes (Ai can be tooslow on road cars and extremely fast on Gr2)

The game should be like platform with standart options which work everywhere.
For example, Forza Motorsport. You can play career or you can make a custom race. And you will get the same AI level in career or custom race. You can choose rain everywhere. And you will get the same paymant for wins in career or custom race. It means that you can make custom race and get the same level of fun and payment. And GT7... You can't use sophy in Custom races, you won't get normal payment for win, and AI for road cars is too slow in custom races.
PD should make things in the most easy way. But PD wants to make perfect, and I think that we won't get all that GT7 needs, maybe in GT8.

But I hope that Forza Motorsport will show that simple ways works. Racing games are not art, it's a platform for regular updates and fun. And the main thing is make updates more easy without manual ballance for every race event.

Gran Turismo is not a game. Its a racing simulator.

How hard are they ?
The "B" license is pretty easy. The Viper wet braking test is hard though. I golded B already and got Ford Roadster.

I had hell of a fun at Lake Louise lap challenge with that Peugeot too ❤️.

Master National B license prize car is Ford Roadster. Wonder if prize is going to be the car used for last test of other licenses as well.

I like this update a lot, the weekly challenge thing is great and the increased payouts pretty cool too. Need to try the paddock think it has potential to be a new fun thing too

Sophy doesn’t seem to adjust to the tyres or tuning on your car. I walked her in a tuned road car, watched the replay and noticed they were all on SH tyres and hitting around 134MPH on a straight at Suzuka.

Detuned my car, and there was no noticeable difference in their top speed. Fitted the same tyres as them and I suddenly realised what the fuss is about. It is very entertaining AI.

I’m not sure, but I think PD has built the concept and opposition cars around your vehicle in an unmodified state.

The LFA sound is 10/10. Way better than the CGT, which was a bit disappointing. Also, Nurburgring Edition body kit is available in GT auto. GT3RS is hilariously fast. No adjustable suspension/diff/etc out of the box. No manual DRS in time trials either. The Demon is a rocket with slicks but a boat without.

I hope the 400R has base colours of white and silver too! The yellow isn't my cup'o'tea.
In Sport Mode you can test drive all colors in the current Tokyo Expressway 400R Time Trial, if you choose the “Enter with event-specific car“. I didn't take a screenshot, but it's gonna take a while until all 7-9 color schemes have rotated through the LCD.
