Is the Red Bull X series extra menu buggy for anyone else? I own all three but it only shows 2 in the menu. Not trying to spend 3 million on a dupe I would never drive

PD choose a strange way for GT7. They need to do everything simple. The Game should be like constructor with normal AI, and everything should work everywhere.
And what we get?
1. We can use Sophy only in 7-8 race out of 38 and not all cars.
2. Rain is still not available in the most of tracks
3. AI difficulty is not the same for different classes (Ai can be tooslow on road cars and extremely fast on Gr2)

The game should be like platform with standart options which work everywhere.
For example, Forza Motorsport. You can play career or you can make a custom race. And you will get the same AI level in career or custom race. You can choose rain everywhere. And you will get the same paymant for wins in career or custom race. It means that you can make custom race and get the same level of fun and payment. And GT7... You can't use sophy in Custom races, you won't get normal payment for win, and AI for road cars is too slow in custom races.
PD should make things in the most easy way. But PD wants to make perfect, and I think that we won't get all that GT7 needs, maybe in GT8.

But I hope that Forza Motorsport will show that simple ways works. Racing games are not art, it's a platform for regular updates and fun. And the main thing is make updates more easy without manual ballance for every race event.

using a better A.I in custom races would be an immense step forward... one would finally make his own and proper championship ... yes wIth Sophy that would be ideal but I would be happy ad interim even with an improved version of current one eliminating the majority of glitches

Are you sure you actually own all three? They need to be in your garage rather than being shown bought.

You need to own the regular X2019, the 25th Anniversary version won't count.

Sophy doesn’t seem to adjust to the tyres or tuning on your car. I walked her in a tuned road car, watched the replay and noticed they were all on SH tyres and hitting around 134MPH on a straight at Suzuka.

Detuned my car, and there was no noticeable difference in their top speed. Fitted the same tyres as them and I suddenly realised what the fuss is about. It is very entertaining AI.

I’m not sure, but I think PD has built the concept and opposition cars around your vehicle in an unmodified state.

That's definitely it. They matching you against the car you are driving as if it were stock.

You are right, I checked the dealership first which said I owned it, but in the garage I only had the 25th anniversary version. Thank you as well!

Which makes sense. It means they only need to train the AI to be competitive against your choice from X amount of cars… Rather than the same amount of cars in an infinite amount of performance levels, tyre combos and tunes.

For an AI technology in its infancy, that has literally had to be trained, it’s not surprising. May be worth communicating to players though.

TLDR: only race Sophy in standard cars, on stock tyres.

Haha, to be honest you only have to look at modern games and they would charge for this. It's all about quick small wins at the moment with a lot of games.

Gran Turismo is not a game. Its a racing simulator.

I'm going to assume you're being sarcastic, dry sense of humour, etc... coz there is nothing in GT that simulates racing, for example, unrealistic physics, rubberbanding AI, chase the rabbit scenarios's, no practice and qualifying, virtually all rolling starts, ridiculously matched opponents... it has rubbish racing and does a poor job at simulation and goes out of the way to make the game not fun (content locked behind roulette tickets, and invitations and extreme pricing). I think GT7 can best be described as a car library for enthusiasts...

I got so excited like a kid in a candy store upon entering License section. Going through them again was so nostalgic for myself.

I just attempted the first 5 license tests under B license. B-3 was the hardest as you've to precisely make the turn without braking.

It's only in license test where a thousandth of a second means so much...

Agreed. I want like 10laps for an interesting opponent.

That said, for us vr drivers focused on online play, there really isn’t much of anything here. Especially given how long its been since anything interesting has dropped.
