Probably a bunch of youngsters here that won't even get that reference.

I stopped trying to "kick the ball" a long time ago. Haven't been interested, let alone excited, for an update in a long time. Maybe there'll be some BoP updates in the background that'll help out Gr4. But, maybe not.
Speaking of being old...I remember once upon a time, back when a Blockbuster date was a thing, the draw of GT was being able to drive real cars...hopefully YOUR car. How did we get here?

How many months are without any new track?
Watkins Glen June 23, 2022 👍
Road Atlanta November 24, 2022 👍
Grand Valley February 21, 2023 🤢
Lake Luise November 2, 2023 🤮
Eiger Nordwand July 25, 2024 🤮

So unfortunate that 3 of the 5 Tracks we got are not for me at all. Looking at the list gives me strong "what could have been” vibes.

For me is the opposite ehehe i love the last three and indifferent about the first two real tracks.

By the way they added also the rally cross in spain and the 24hours circuit at the Nurburgring.

I mentioned a few pages back that I wouldn't be surprised if the C-HR variant was an uninteresting trim level, no AWD or GR trim. It's rare that I'm right, and I'm not happy about it

Still, as long as there's some upgrade potential (unlike the Prius and Aqua) it's ironically still the highlight for me.

A 'Free' update of this quality, is like a free kick in the balls.

I would rather pay money for decent updates, thank you.
That's what I think too. There's plenty of us who are willing to pay a little for decent content. Just because it's free doesn't mean we have to be thankful for this ****. It's like giving candy to a diabetic...

Like, how is this crap being an answer to Assetto Corsa Evo???? At this point just give us the damn new game for $100 and call it a day.

Piss poor update, PD...piss poor. You (PD) effortlessly reaffirm your minimal commitment and lack of imagination in producing quality updates. It's time to call it quits for GT7 and possibly the GT series entirely. In thinking about a certain Xbox racing game, the product itself may have received heavy criticism for what appeared to be an work in progress, BUT AT LEAST the designers respect their fan base (and dare I add reputation???) enough to provide interesting content updates and tracks. Your content and update strategy is at best utterly frustrating, at worst nauseatingly boring and finally the straw that breaks the camels back for me. Your fanbase knows better but it appears you think otherwise. At some point soon we'll start showing our disapproval of your development strategies with our wallets. I'm ready now.

I'm quite interested in the Ioniq and EF Civic. Curious about the C-HR - I had a contemporary Corolla around that time and I believe Toyota had just started putting their new trick cvt in - the one with the physical launch gear and nine fixed "ratios". I don't remember if the C-HR got it, but if it did it might be a lot more fun than it sounds on paper. I mean, ten forward gears

You are always free to simply not use any of the added content at all and consider it as a "no update game" instead.

Doesnt want to, doesnt need to.

I'm quite interested in the Ioniq
It could be insteresting, and this is enough to make me start up the game after a long period of not thinking about it.

PD blew the lid off when GT arrived on the scene. I was playing a bootleg copy on a PS1 in '97 - ha.
Roll on 28 years and here we are, closing the lid on GT and opening new, more existing boxes of opportunity.

Watch out PD. Better reinvent the box for GT8.

Box, box, box.

How is this mentality going to help the company increase their revenue? How are they going to profit from this? All I'm saying is that there is so much potential being wasted in terms of revenue/profits but also they are not providing enhancing experiences to their customers (users). It doesn't seems like there is a solid business acumen leading Polyphony at the moment.

Introducing paid updates is a very dangerous game. I understand the wish and the intention. But the chance that, once introduced, the system would be misused to extract lots of money from the fanbase is just too high. Even when starting with the best intentions, at some point down the road a new manager will inevitably come along asking "why are we not making more money from DLC?". And they will let you bleed. So be careful what you wish for. Once established, such systems rarely disappear again. Once paying for updates is the new norm, they will make sure you will be paying.

It is not any update that will pull a huge load of new players that currently have no interest in GT when there is no public commercials alongside with it - because these new players wouldnt be in reach of the information of the update.
And espcially since the updates are free of cost to the existing playerbase, no matter the content they wont increase the revenue neither.

The C-HR is quite literally an addition of all time.

And I'm here for it.
Same. If I wanted to drive {insert GT3 racecar of the last five years} on {insert reasonably well-known real world venue}, then I have {most every title with something of a sim leaning released within the past couple years}
