This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Nope. Was a bigger update not teased by GT Planet for the 3rd anniversary of the game, wasn’t it?
Can’t wait to switch gears with this one.I could only find an editorial-use image of a Unimog 406 for the article, but on second glance it looks like it's a SWB 411 of some kind.
Nope.
It's not a Midget. The shape of the cab doesn't line up, and the grooves on the roof that Midgets have aren't here.Running a series with the Daihatsu Midget was the most fun I had playing GT6. I hope it's the top center box.
It has two reverse gears. Can’t wait to switch gears with this one.![]()
What kei truck are you talking about man?I'm driving that freaking kei truck in this update, Kaz really cooked

It has two reverse gears.
Enjoy!
That’s for the 406 though.offering up to 20 forward and eight reverse gears!
Just from the car silhouettes alone, I think this update has easily become one of my most anticipated updates in a long, LONG time. The Z4M and 205 Rallye were super sweet cars in earlier GT games, and the 208 GTI in this game is one hell of a surprise sleeper. The Unimog (if it is indeed the Unimog) would break the monopoly Toyota has thus far had with utility vehicles, and is a welcome sight just for that alone. I can't wait to see what the community does with it!
Add onto this the hype that this is an update with supposedly much to discuss, February 2025 is shaping up to be one hell of an update, can't wait!
To be honest we are severely overdue for updates to GT3 cars. The 458 GT3 is the most "up to date" Ferrari GR3 group car, but in real life the 458 is a 15 year old platform. Ferrari has gone through the 458, 488, F8 and now on the 296 GT3. Same with the 650S, M3, Corvette (which debuted during GT6)...etcFunny seeing most of us here excited for the cars but twitter/X full of people complaining for no GT3 cars and no track (even when tracks are not teased by Kaz lol)
