I feel like there are a lot of hints being dropped in the article this time - mention of Dakar lots for the Unimog, a track, etc. more so than the more general speculation we usually get, so I’m getting myself hyped this time

Anybody else feeling like we’ll get an 80s hot hatch menu book with the 205, Golf, and A112?

I think it's most likely a Honda Life Truck from early 1970s. The slope of the front end doesnt quite match the T360 or a Midget or Unimog.

I like the addition of the 205, the Z4 imo is just "there", and the Honda kei truck thingy could be quite fun. We'll what the update eventually brings along side these three cars in due course.

My initial reaction to seeing the image was elation for a potential NB MX-5, and what I was sure was a keitruck: at first a Daihatsu Midget I MP5, then seeing the shorter face, perhaps a round-headlight Autozam Scrum.

I know not to trust my mind's eye on silhouettes, though, so I defer to the posited Peugeot, Z4, and... Unimog?!!
If this is the case; it's great to see a non-AMG Mercedes, and furthermore, that is the nuttiest addition for GT, and wildest perspective trick in a silhouette reveal I've ever seen. Not sure what I'll do with der Unimog's huge tyres... conquer Big Willow infield? I'm not sure how to stay in there without getting respawned in GT7, much easier to go paddock bashing in 6 and Sport.

In a few months you'll probably tell me that a rectangular car which looks like a Honda Life Step Van is actually a Volvo B10M.

The truck in the silhouette, to me, looks waaaay too small to be a Unimog, so I'm still leaning towards a kei truck of some sort

Old Unimogs are really not that large. The 406 generation is just 4000mm in length.
Yes - old unimogs are quite small trucks. Just with high tires. The cab looks like something I (6'7") propably couldnt even fit in to..

Funny seeing most of us here excited for the cars but twitter/X full of people complaining for no GT3 cars and no track (even when tracks are not teased by Kaz lol)
The thing that is "scaring" me is usually Kaz say "Big Update is coming next week" when there is a track or "a lot to talk about"

I feel like the truck's rear pillar is too narrow to be a Unimog. But at the same time, I can't remember the front page's guesses ever being wrong.

There are a lot of old Mazda trucks that have a very similar cab shape, but their beds tend to be longer and more flush with the cab that what's shown in the silhouette.

Well this is all very... interesting to say the least. Think this has been the most ambiguous the silhouettes have been for a while, and I wonder if the "lot to talk about" could be that potential B-spec mode 🤔

I struggle to dislike anything about these picks.

IMO what makes good update selections are cars with a lot of customization options (cosmetic and mechanical), something new that slots in nicely with the current racing classes for sport mode, or a very, very, unusual vehicle.

How can you tell? There's no hint of the wheel arch profile. If anything, it's looking more like a plain XS/Lacoste if anything.
No hood scoop....

the Z4 is a welcome addition, but hopefully we get the Z3M after, later on....

Need to track to go with this update:
M ?
Or
P ?
