Autumn Ring sounds like a huge blow to the hype.

I think it's gonna be something more grand, or then PD throw us two tracks, as this update also brings a record 7 cars.
I actually like Autumn Ring, and it is likely to come back, since it has been around from the beginning.
Out of all the courses (grouping different layouts together, like putting Grand Valley East (now South) with Grand Valley), excluding Test Course (which is what SSRX is, basically) and Special Stage Routes 5 and 11 (as they are technically city tracks and not purpose made circuits), Autumn Ring is the only one to not come back.
Trial Mountain is here, Grand Valley is here, Deep Forest, High Speed Ring, and yet no Autumn Ring.
It would make logical sense, and I find it neat>

If not Autumn Ring, I hope for Cape Ring with more and better scenery than in GT5 and 6.

Hard agree but only if I can also toggle it on and off easily.
I would like to see that delta added as page on the MFD. Just page to it like you do for radar, lap times, BB & TCS.

I don't think they will change this, like ever.

Its almost the same as only having the rear mirror in the bumper view.

Kaz has a purist reason for that, and I guess he also has one for the current VR hud.

But I do hope I'm wrong. I sold my VR cause of this (and the motion sickness, which I didn't bother to go through since I would still have the incomplete HUD)

Purist?
Like how pure this view is?

That's what you get in VR2 when the interior of a car has not been modeled, as this Toyota S-FR Racing Concept '16 has apparently not been. I hear most, if not all, the VGT cars are like this. While I don't suppose leaving the view as is, is a deal breaker, (used to race with this view in pancake mode on 5 & 6), the least they could do is provide some basic telemetry, Tach and Speedo at a minimum. I do find it curious they couldn't take the time to at least model in some sort of interior for these cars, even if it wasn't accurate. I would neither know nor care regarding this car's, or any of the VGTs. Hell, they could go crazy with it like they did that fugly Nissan they collaborated on.

This doesn't make any sense to me at all?

It's not like I'm asking for a HUD to be added to VR, it's literally one additional data item for the already existing VR HUD that is already in the normal HUD.

Also, motion sickness isn't a permanent insurmountable thing. I had motion sickness that I trained away with my Quest 2 by doing short bursts of play. Today I have zero issues with motion sickness including playing hardcore roomscale stuff like BoneLab. Can play any game for hours.

Agree.

As I said above, "would like to see that delta added as page on the MFD. Just page to it like you do for radar, lap times, BB & TCS." Far as I'm concerned, that's where it oughta' be, whether VR or not. It's where the leader-board, that's not shown in VR, should be available.

In some cases, motion sickness is a permanent and insurmountable thing. Those folks with inner ear, or some other conditions, just may not be able to "train away" the discombobulation VR can induce. Like you, I trained it away with short burst sessions. I still get whoopsie moments, but those are the same moments I would get being in a real car, in those same situations.

Exactly. I've seen a documentary where it says an airliner needs 50,000 hours (~6 years for a single person, working 24/7) to build while a nuclear submarine needs 14 million hours (1598 years for a single person, working 24/7). But people just don't understand that it's man hours and it's hundreds if not thousands of people working on it*.

(*obviously not in this case with PD)
I've just taken an order to deliver a submarine in 3621... ;)

Most of the newer VGTs have a modeled interior, usable in VR. You can see which have them yourself via the VR showroom in brand central, just open it for the VGT and change to the cockpit view. If it doesn't change to the cockpit when you press the button, it doesn't have an interior and will give you that hood cam.

I think what we think is the Tesla Model 3 is actually a Tesla Model Y. The roofline and narrower profile of that sneak peek are more Y than 3. 😉 Unless they used the wrong sneak peek picture 🤣🤣

Road america would be the perfect track to add considering the more powerful cars we get this update and i also love road america,
Could be classic original circuit to witch i would not mind, something like midfield or Tokyo r246 would be awesome, i think their will be at least one track in this update but those that belive their is 2-3 tracks might overhyping a bit to much, i think its time to add more grinding races/endurance races and championchips, maybe its time for new menu books

The six month time scale, is misleading, what was said that on average it takes 3 months of man hours to make a car, 6 months for a VGT, (through this was referring to the Gr3 fantasy cars they take twice as long Kaz said this before GTS, )

So 3 months, 480 hours, this is divided by the number of people working on each model, Three people would result in a car a month, PD has 255 employees having 30 modelling would not be outrageous.

The 6 month per car is just an perpetual snow balling myth. The key phrasebof man hours, which is an often used phrase in engineering and IT.
I guess what’s just as, if not more, time consuming is sound recording/engineering and physics/handling for each car, but I can imagine they have quite a lot of man power working on those as well.

Then there’s Sophy which, if we want it fully implemented, probably takes a lot of time to learn every track with each car that’s being added.

We all know what the next two tracks are . Why do people blatantly ignore the data leaks .

We knew back in GT sport that Trail mountain , Daytona and Deep forest were on the way because they had skybox data .
Early on we got skybox data for Road Atlanta , and data for the nur layouts and Barcelona rally cross and short track.

Now we have sky box data for two tracks . The Canadian one and Red rock valley.

Are they guaranteed next update , nope . Are they coming in a future update , without a doubt .

Nobody is ignoring anything 🤔

Everyone in this thread is riding the hype train and voicing their wish list tracks...

AND - exactly as you've said, we don't KNOW those tracks are coming in this update - so your point is moot anyhow.

The fact that the chase cam is so flawed for so many cars is such a bummer. Still can't believe this isn't customizable
Jesus this bothers me so much... I'm competitive so I mostly time trial with cockpit / bumper view and motion steering, but last night I figured I might as well relax in bed after a long day and take some italian cars to Monza in chase cam and normal steering. I was shocked when I couldn't see **** when driving the 500 Abarth, like I literally said "how can the game drive and look so perfect and then they fail on these stupid things".
