I just wish tire temperature or pressure gauge because that’s a crucial thing when racing or doing track days or whatever. You cannot call this a sim without this informations. I love this game but this is missing! Just bring more realism.
Funny thing is that the data exists and you can extract it using SimHub.
I think that they don't give us the info because GT7 is a "mainstream" sim, and they don't want to scare """"""casual"""""" players.
But I hope that one day, they'll give us the hud customization and the option to see the tire pressure/temperature.

Maybe we dont get any tracks but we get sophy.
That is ecactly what I think. If they want to compete with Forza they really need some which isn't in Forza and this is GT Sophy - which will be big, or more a milestone for AI.
With another track, after few days the new big update will be forgotten, but with Sophy, they will be in focus - not only GT community.

A minimum for a big update is a new track AND maybe Sophy.

I woke up this morning, laying in bed and suddenly thought: Maybe they'll add a mini-endurance Bathurst 1000 event because the 190E is in and they've got most of the big Group A cars of that era. Which is a race I wouldn't mind repeating for money along with the other two.

They better add some kinda Group A event and not just like.. '80s Euro Race at.. Alsace or something 🤦‍♂️

What we will see in a couple of hours? I don't see even news about date of update.
At least 7 cars and the date is confirmed, the update drops tomorrow:

Realism is feeling it when driving, not a gauge.
agree and disagree at the same time. A gauge would improve the efficiency when setting up a car. Knowing what happens based on data is better than pretending to know what’s going on. And to be honest the grade of realism is unfortunately not so high to easily say if the tires are cooking or not. I never felt a big difference between a warm tire and an overheating tire in the game - maybe it’s a thing that must be implemented first. When I go out on the Nordschleife in real life ( and yes I do very often because I live only an hour from the ring) I definitely feel when the tires are to hot and the pressure go to the sky. And that’s what I expect from a game that is calling itself a sim even if the effects are limited to a degree that even a normal Joe can play. Bust just give us the option.

I guess what’s just as, if not more, time consuming is sound recording/engineering and physics/handling for each car, but I can imagine they have quite a lot of man power working on those as well.

Then there’s Sophy which, if we want it fully implemented, probably takes a lot of time to learn every track with each car that’s being added.
When it comes to Sophy PD, are not involved deeply as in resources , Sony AI is the lead department, and are doing the heavy lifting, but I agree Sophy will take a lot of time.

As for sound and physics I would assume this, is part of the overall man hours equation, How deep they go physics wise, I don't know but as it's not as deep as a more SIM title,

PD do do other things for Sony, they are a Tech company but kunos do other things beyond AC and ACC and only have 25 employees

As for online taking from single player, considering online has not changed format wise since GTS, that puts that to bed, and they don't travel on mass to live events which there's only Two a year anyway.

It's appears from the leaked list which has been spot that they have a back log of 70 odd cars

It would not surprise me if they had not moved on to GT8. and most of the content is been held for that.

Trailer with the 7 cars and if we're lucky a new track. Events and other stuff will probably be for thursday when the update goes live.

I kinda hope we see more in the trailer, but probably not.

I'm wondering if we are going to get full day night cycles across all tracks. They've had plenty of time to have a crack at this for the whole game. That would be fantastic and definitely give the game some new legs. This, plus a new track.
