the motor swaps are going to be patched. This game is utter disappointment to all its players and community it has failed us. If you thought about buying a wheel don’t it’s a waste of money due to excessive cheating and exploits. they made it so controllers are better than any will user and if you thought clutch would help you you’re extremely wrong you have a ultimate disadvantage if you’re on a wheel your handling goes down and your acceleration goes down but if you’re on controller regardless of what transmission you use or how you drive you had an advantage
The FFB in GT7 is pretty awful depending on the wheel (and depending on the current version of the game) but as someone that uses both the controller and a wheel, the wheel is definitely the better/faster input method, it's just not as well implemented as it is in other sims due to PD's inability to create a good TC model (meaning one has to go TC 0 even on cars that would normally have TC on) and their FFB issues that have plagued the game.

I don't necessarily disagree that GT7 isn't worth buying a wheel, but I think it's because the investment isn't worth the pitiful amount of content on offer, not the performance of wheel/pedals in the game.

I have to shake my head at all those bragging about using the script or how much they've got out of a glitch.

It wouldn't surprise me to find out this was all to observe player behaviour. They probably won't be banning people or anything. But they obviously do have data to see how far some will take it.

I've done the glitch to collect engines and a few million Cr. for fear of missing out reading about it here. But I don't feel great about it.

Let me, again, point out how ridiculous the ticket system is.

We have already verified that the total car parts, the special ones where you can't get anywhere else but from these tickets, is about 205.
We have also verified that the only tickets that give out Special Car Parts are the 4* and 5* or the very rare dedicated 6* (parts) ticket.

I'm going to do some simple math here:

I've gotten, over all the days we've had the glitch, exactly 5923 engines (and counting until they patch this) and this basically translates into also the number of 4* tickets I've opened up. Yes, we also win engines from 4* tickets but they are such a rarity that it makes it irrelevant, and I also personally opened about 50 4* tickets manually before finding the script anyway so it all evens out regardless.

Out of all these 4* tickets, I've gotten 121 of the 205 Unique Special Car Parts (I'm not counting duplicates here)

The ridiculous part of all of this? Is that this is a glitch, and you can only earn one of these tickets per day without it. So basically, I've opened up, literally, 16 YEARS worth of tickets (5923/365 = 16.2), and I'm barely over half of the total special car parts.

Imagine you don't care about most of the special car parts (since some cars most people don't care about) but want to have your GT-R Nismo fully tuned with those parts.
I still am yet to get the Titanium ConRods and Pistons for the GT-R Nismo.

The odds of getting said part? Simple... 1 in 205 parts. For getting a special car part in the 4* ticket is 10%, so 1 in 10. And 4* or 5* tickets you get them (with collector level 50) on average (post 1.17) one every 2 days on average, 1 in 2.
And you get a 0.02% odd of getting a specific car part you want, or, 1 in 4100 tickets or... 11 years.

Yeah, I've surpassed this number, but that's the whole point. This is RNG... If you get unlucky, you will end up never getting the part and instead get duplicates of others that you don't want, which is what is happening to me and a ton of others.
Or, you can get 3x 1 million prizes in a row like I did... Yeah, this is a 1 in 1 million chance. lol Super lucky here, but I'm more interested in parts than credits.

Credits have reached a point where I had to buy duplicates of every single invitational car in a different color to avoid reaching the 100 million cap several times now.

This. sistem. has. to. go.
The special parts should NOT be for specific vehicles but generic. At the pitiful rate that most of us get these parts, I will never get them all. (I'll be 75 in December) There should be a store for these parts & you should be able to equip any gift part to any vehicle.

So you argue the game is nuts.
Perhaps so.
But you sir, are nuts for sure.
Sorry.

People are bragging about it because they feel like they're getting a little back of that which was purposefully withheld for so long by PD. The wide-spread use of glitches and afk macro's is a symptom of a horrible economy, not the greed of the player base. I don't feel good or bad about it as it's not an issue of personal ethics

I agree, they won't be banning people, largely because I do not believe there is anywhere near a large active player base relative to the number of copies sold. If they start banning people for exploiting glitches the game would be deserted.

They obviously brought on behavioral psychologists when developing the economy, Hagerty, UCD, in order to drive MTX sales and daily engagement, so I'm sure those psychologists are getting a bit bored at this point, lol. They probably are studying player behaviors
But....why? Are you expecting to be able to sell them?
Special parts. It's easier/quicker to rotate between the engine ticket and 4* ticket than it is to restart the game after every 4*
At least that's why I've kept opening tickets... Still trying to get ultra turbo's and stage 5 weight reductions, both of which seem to be far more rare than "bore up S", carbon drive shaft, and titanium part (cams maybe? Idk)

It was a bug, nothing else, even if PD was able to gather data from this i doubt they would and could use it for anything to improve the game.

But the players did some data gathering, and the wheel is worse than we suspected. Pick a car, and then try and get the top tunes for it. I can tell you that 200+ tickets won't be enough and by the stats it is safe to say that it's something that simply won't happen. That is a laughable, embarrassing and borderline evil game design.

Is the G29 affected by the bug or just the G923? I've noticed there is no rumble/FF when going over rumble strips.
The bug isn’t to do with rumble strips but with the steering angle. With the last patch lots of race cars’ steering wheels don’t line up with the actual wheel, meaning you have to turn the wheel more than you should.

Facts.

1. 90% of bonanza participants have more engines than vehicles in their collection.

2. We have bore up and stroke up for every vehicle possible, but majority of users still cooking are hoping for that stage 5 weight reduct., titanium rods or ultra high turbo for those top tier motor swaps etc.

3. Lobbies" are still ****, and are all now full of un-tuned op swap vehicles. (Thanks to maestro P for is thread and tunes for us gt members)
..and since this update, lobbies have been quiet, ghost town because every one is at the "cafe bonnanza"

4. We have green calipers. Lol..
(Unless you have carbon paint)

That being said-

Every engine swaped car befor 7/6 update is to be classified as "just another LS swap."

I predict black calipers and a 1/2 star new glitch for the "possible new menu" lol

Well I'm on a PS4 Slim and running that for 10 days straight would cost about £5 at the current diabolical rate (.28 per kWh) and with a laptop you can alternate between battery and mains but let's just say another £5. That's not too bad considering you'd open over 5000 tickets.

I get the feeling the glitch might have been on purpose ( a brief backdoor opportunity) maybe so that engine parts are available to more people, it's just a theory though, it just as likely incidental. PD have listened to the community though subsequently made credits easier to obtain and gave out those invites with the update too. Perhaps there are two diametrically opposed forces at work here, the creative passionate side and the evil monetizing **** side. Its made the best driving game Ive played seem like boring work (so much so Ive taken a break from it).

No, I wanted to give up on the engines as soon as I had about 5 or 6 of each lol.

The thing is, what is valued now is the 4* tickets that give away Special Parts and credits (and cars), but to be efficient in collecting 4* tickets as fast as possible, you need to open the 6* engine ticket in the process.

Not really... When the script for the Tomahawk S in Blue Moon Bay was released, I used it for about 6 days straight 24/7, and that was with the PS5 running a race. My bill was just about 5€ over the average.

This time I've ran the same amount of days, maybe a bit more, but the PS5 is just switching between menus and opening tickets which requires a lot less GPU power from the PS5. I don't mind losing 5€ or a bit more for just one month (lol) to get those special car parts that I wouldn't get even if I played this game for hundreds of years.

And by the way, just to share some of my spoils (below in spoiler tags), expensive gift cars, cars that I bought duplicated (not all are shown here, I bought a duplicate 250 GTO, a duplicate XJ13, McLaren F1 GTR, 300 SL W194 and a few other legendaries as well) and I bought my final blue colored FXX K about 30 minutes ago when I had 99.2 million credits, but I'm already on my way to 97 million, so I have to waste some more credits again, probably another Veneno this time or maybe another Vulcan or a P1 GTR which I didn't notice if I had it duplicated...

it's the menu screen that sends my ps4 pro fan haywire

Well,i did not even start the game for 3-4 weeks now, couldn‘t care less about the bonanza glitch ;) I already have more than enough cars that i like anyway and still enough money. It‘s pointless. My spare free time is more valuable to me then spending hours on hours to glitch out every single dime in the game.To each their own of course..

That's the thing though, the people doing it with the AFK method can be sitting in their back yard cooking a barbeque and having a beer while an automated programme is earning them every single dime in the game, as well as the many parts that are otherwise very, very rare.

But as you say, each to their own ;)

Indeed, it's because my free time is so valuable I'm using the script to get me to a place in GT7 I'd never be otherwise. Haven't owned a 20m car in any GT game to date.

This way when I am holding the controller and playing GT7 I can do the races/custom races I really want without thinking about how desperately I need credits.

Ok....

Luckily you missed the horrible launch, low payouts, gamebreaking pp bugs, horrible (still) muliplayer lobbies, blue screens, failed loading screens, infinite saving wheel and freezing trying to save liveries...

I very much doubt this bug was introduced on purpose, because it highlighted even more how ridiculously rigged the roulette system is and how pitiful small chances of 'winning' something interesting are in a normal gameplay.

Nobody would be doing it, if the game economy was any good and you could earn a descent amount of credits, engines and parts playing the game as designed.

Maybe I don't have this much of a money and didn't run scripts...
I do stop care about grinding and started to just enjoy game with what I have... Oh god this is so much better. PD should wake up and stop forcing this stupid grinding.
No one is forcing anything, it is your choice, your need. I play the game and not once has Kaz came over to my house and forced me to grind.

That's why they created a script dude. You're not the only one who has other stuff to do... And all that you're implying is that you couldn't take advantage of this glitch as much as your heart desired it to...
