*****. I was 3 days away from home... I will die in the shore, 😂. I hope they improve the roulette. Between 19 of march and 26 of june i only not played the daily marathon 3 days. Result : only one engine. That's not normal.

But....why? Are you expecting to be able to sell them?
Sorry for quoting you again, but actually, there's actually the possibility of your cars, after getting engine swapped (or having other parts as well), getting a price increase when you sell them.
Most obvious case being the RX-7 with the R26B engine which costs almost 1 million (plus 250k of the RX-7 itself).

So if that's going to be the case, I have near unlimited money.

That would suck for some, if the only way to sell, is to buy the original engine. Not just reswap the original engine.

While I don't have near as much credits as most do (currently at a little over 26m), All I really wanted was to be able to buy the legendary cars I wanted. I still have 3 to go, and I only have enough to buy 1. And I certainly won't make enough to get the required credits to buy the other 2 when they come up. But, if I can buy that 1, then I'll be happy.

Is the G29 affected by the bug or just the G923? I've noticed there is no rumble/FF when going over rumble strips.
At least in my experience the steering angle is always fine on the G29, both in the UI and visibly in the car itself. The bad FFB is a separate issue, it's just how it's been in the game since day 1.

There's also the fact that sooner or later those swapped engines are going to wear out and there's no way to restore them without installing a new engine. Good luck getting them without the glitch.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7’s Next Update Arrives July 6

A new game update will be available for Gran Turismo 7 this week, according to an in-game announcement and post on the official website...
I am pretty certain that selling gift cars will be the same as gt sport.

0 credits.
It would be nice for some sort of compromise. Like a trade in system similar to a real life car dealership. Where you would only be able to sell cars back to buy a new one

The ridiculous part of all of this? Is that this is a glitch, and you can only earn one of these tickets per day without it. So basically, I've opened up, literally, 16 YEARS worth of tickets (5923/365 = 16.2), and I'm barely over half of the total special car parts.
It's worse than that isn't it? Your daily workout ticket isn't always a 4 star. I don't know what proportion of daily workout tickets you can get a special part from, but I think it's well under 100%?

... From my experience with the Tomahawk S script on PanAm, it takes about 12.000km for the car to start having permanent HP loss, which is the time where you need to put in a new engine.

And believe me, you are going to be veeeery hard pressed to put over 10.000 km on any car. Just for reference, 24hr Le Mans LMP1 cars do about 5.000km. 24 hours driving the same car and a really fast car as well on one of the fastest tracks.
You are going to play the game with a lot more than just 1 car... The likelyhood of getting that much distance on an engine on your own driving (no scripts) is really barely above 0%. You would have to drive the same car like a madman to be frank.

In my case, I have 300 engines... So that's still not really going to be a problem... for me and whoever abused this glitch that is.

If I'm not mistaken, the "new engine" option replaces the current one?

Installed swapped engines can be overhauled...at the original, mostly-lower cost. Except for the 787B swapped engine, which can't be bought for either the 787B or the swapped RX-7, new swapped engines can be purchased at 50% of the donor car's cost.

Heres to me hoping they fix the penalties in sport, either tweak them to stop the shenanigans people do to us now or revert them back to the previous version

Huh, that's good to know.

So you're saying that if for example, an RX7 is swapped with the R26B, if we get a new engine from the tuning shop, the game swapped it with a new R26B instead of a new 13B?

People supporting the system and claiming "people just need to play"
I don't see anyone doing this, especially not here, lol. I don't know a single person who supports these roulettes.

Unfortunately, these parts are a lot less worth than people think. At the end of the day, it's a matter of pride. Because what you get is maybe 30 kg less in a final stage weight reduction, or a turbo that makes your powerband so peaky you can't use it in races, or a Bore Up S upgrade that you have to limit anyway because you can't fit the car into the class otherwise.

It's cool to see that parts list filled up, but it doesn't enhance the experience in any significant way. Given the way the game works, I could extract the same performance from my cars without them.

Then there's the engines. Naturally, there's the allure of dropping a quad rotor into an RX-7, or recreating the M3 GTR with the Z4 engine, or making the Beetle actually usable. But that's about it. Most of the engines are way too powerful for their chassis. And the Challenger won't stop being a 1970s car with too much power if you swap in a Hellcat engine.

I did the glitch. I ended up with well over 1000 engines. And I don't really care about them. I almost don't use these cars. Some of them like the RX-7 swapped Miata are even underwhelming for what they are. I'm having more fun using cars I've already obtained, many of which without the "magic" parts.

The only reason all this drama happened is because these parts are limited. If they weren't, we'd be seeing places like this one complain that the engine swaps are not enough, there's no RB26 swap, the Ultra High RPM Turbos don't do much... Always complaining, complaining, complaining...

He's talking out of his ass.

When you swap in a new engine in GT7, that new engine becomes the car's default engine. So, if you buy a new engine to restore the engine to factory spec, it's the new engine that matters, not the old one. Every option in the Tuning Shop applies to the new engine only.

The reason you can't buy a replacement engine for the 787B engine is because that engine does not have any upgrades available other than turbo. The engine replacement in the Tuning Shop exists to erase the irreversible upgrades, not to fix your engine. The 787B engine is already racing spec engine without irreversible upgrades. To fix it you don't buy a new engine, you go to GT Auto where you can overhaul the engine same as any other engine in the game.

Nobody would pay 1 million credits for a new engine in the Tuning Shop when they can pay 25,000 in GT Auto to restore it to mint condition.

Permanent engine wear cannot be restored through GT Auto.

Well some of special parts makes the cars sounds better, and you can always use the cars in Lobbies, some cars have 100 or more hp upgrade with the special parts

That's why they created a script dude. You're not the only one who has other stuff to do... And all that you're implying is that you couldn't take advantage of this glitch as much as your heart desired it to...
Again,i don‘t care about this.Believe it or not.And i doubt the script would run on a Mac anyway but i‘m even too lazy to check this out.And what happened before there was a script?People wasted many hours on this or not?

which cars chief?

Game just went offline. I squeezed in a couple of tickets in the final 10 minutes, and ended up with 2 unused tickets just as the servers went down. Will be interesting to see if those two tickets are still there when the game comes back up.

In all its days, I've never seen so many 500k rewards than in the last 30 minutes.

Coincidence? Certainly. It's a funky one though.

Did 1h of generating tickets, won 1M 3 times :D :D

I was only able to start the duplicating today, and unfortunately I was only able to get one LT1 and two 2JZs. Everything else has 3-4+ duplicates and should carry me far into future expansions.

Hopefully this was a wake up call to PD how poorly the ticket system was implemented and balanced, and they provide more avenues for engines or tickets or their drop rates. It took me 3 months to get my first engine, but even with the apparent average being around 40-60 days it’d be 3-4 months before I get to try all the currently available 2J swaps if those are the next two I win.

Imagine if it’s still not fixed after the update, lol. At that point, it’d have to be PD throwing us a bone. Hope they won’t wipe inventories, and I wonder if they’ll make engines/parts purchasable - or maybe something like, a guaranteed engine ticket when you complete a daily workout if you collector level is high enough?

Could do the same for parts, or have them in the store. Or something you unlock after completing challenges for each car.

But they probably won’t ever change it. Knowing PD, they’ll patch it and never touch engine drop rates/change how they can be obtained.
