The changes to time trial are also very cool, that’s a relatively easy 2 million, hopefully payouts for online races got a big buff too.

A 'Steering Controller Settings' option has been added to the Controllers menu. This menu can be used to check connected steering wheel controllers and adjust related input values. Pedal sensitivity can also be adjusted from 'Pedal Calibration.'

This is what ive been bitching about for ages. Such beautifully modeled cars but can only see front or back in third person. This is great stuff!

a couple quick observations-

the circuit experience on the glen isn’t very difficult, which is great. course itself is interesting and a welcome addition.

the “extra menus” as they’re referred to in the cafe are a bit confusing to understand. It’s like they are trying to reward those who have collected every car with an engine - but buying 2 cars i will never look at to get the gr B NSX and a 10,000 credit prize is a bit weird. * the nismo engine that turned my Delta into an 800pp cyborg, though, was worth it.

there’s a new banner on sport mode showing individual race statistics, and presumably time trial history. having the time trial pay out a la Circuit Experience is a brilliant move.

no clue on penalties, and it doesn’t seem like PP has changed - still the absurd squats incentivized in Race A. Oh, and in a tribute to insanity, I tried yet again to do a qualifier lap in B in the BMW F1. Every update I do this to see if they’ve tried to fix the MR cars. They have not, the car still slips in the exact places every time.

TLDR this feels like progress, however i don’t see how the update adds more to do other than that time trial

I am actually really happy with this update, it delivered several really good things

• great new track, with new circuit experience and races
• new cars, at least one of which is awesome
• wheel/pedal calibration/test menu
• major online time trial improvement with the rewards system, now I actually will be keen to run it
• horn which i immediately mapped and will enjoy using constantly on any car that has it
• finally a 'load ghost' option

Not perfect or 'fixed', but awesome progress in my opinion

Extra menu races are a bit poor but it is what it is,i dont get why we cant access the escudo until tomorrow though.

The Extra Menu Books are extremely underwhelming for people who have been playing the game since launch. It’s basically: “Oh, here’s a little reward for cars you probably collected months ago”. Ok, whatever…

Terrible game design, and I hope they won’t set a precedent for what we can expect from future menu books. That would really eliminate my last remaining hope that GT7 ever evolves into something coming close to the variety offered in GT Sport (and that title wasn’t even comprehensive by GT standards). Remember the Wankel events? Today was a fitting opportunity to bring them back, but of course PD pulled the sort of turd-move only they can come up with.

Yeah I don’t get it, they already had these events in GTS, I would be happy if they just put these events in GT7 with a reasonable reward. These new Menu books just seem a little lazy and nothing like what Kaz wrote in the statement after the outrage in march

So here´s a weird one. I actually had this mission on gold and just did it agai, but I dont´have the car?

@Sunzi i get what you mean, however, one or more of those engine may have new cars they go in.

Absolutely buddy, this is why all of my engines have not been used - hoping for appealing options.

So online lobbies have been adressed. What will people be whining about now ?

just noticed that after the update, my statistics have changed. Suddenly number op pole positions changed from 6 to 2? and i only had 7 top 5 finishes, not 9. (quit a race and got a disconnection, so top 5 is impossible)
Very strange....

others have seen also changed in their stats?
