Room will be up shortly, and the mayhem can begin!

...and by mayhem, I mean orderly BOP analysis... Yea?...

I got on late last night and turned about 10 laps in each car without any tuning other than optimizing gears, and these were my best laps.
RX8 58.183
Honda 58.483
VW 59.103
Ford 59.288
BRZ 59.500
BMW 59.864
Hope this helps, the cars were fun, looking forward to getting these going.

This was conducted at the Silverstone National Circuit, for those wondering.
That's interesting, because that's not how my list looks. For me, the Mazda and the VW are running near identical times, the 86 and the Civic are a few tenths off (but that can be tuned out, so I'm fine with it). Straight line speed for these 4 was within 3 mph of each other, so again I'm happy with that. The BMW needs some power back, I took too much out of it.

What I learned about the Ford was that it's the fastest on the straights, but even after I threw a giant hammer at it, it will not corner like the others. So I am much, much slower in it. I think we're going to drop that one and replace it with the Honda Integra '04, specs will come a bit later in the day.

I drove the BRZ first and so I drove it again another 10 laps at the end and still couldn't go any faster. The Civic was a blast to drive.

If your interested flip I can either hop on early or after tonight's 500 practice and put some times down, if you keep the Ford I'll run it lol!

If you REALLY want to try and make to Focus work, give it a shot. If you can, power needs to come back out of it. At the end of the straight, it was quite a lot faster than the others (by almost 10 mph), and that's with the slower cornering speeds I had to run to make it... corner.

I'll attempt to make it as fair as possible, what's the max your willing to have the mph at the end of a straight away be over the other/slowest cars, cause there will be a fair tradeoff at some point between speed and cornering.

It varies depending on the track, obviously, but from last night at Sliverstone National (the short GP one), I was somewhere between 133 - 136 at the end of the longest straight. The Ford was in the low 140s despite the cornering issues. The Bimmer couldn't break 130, but I'll work on that.

Just as a heads up, you guys will have to start with room without me this week. Working on something that came up.

Okay, wasn't quite as far behind as I thought. Practice lounge is now up!

Room closed. See everyone race day!

For those who wanted specs on the Integra:

Honda Integra Type R (DC5) '04
514 PP
360 hp - All smaller upgrades, Mid RPM Turbo, NO engine upgrades
1150 kg - Stage 1, then add weight

Hej flip,
I noticed that most of the cars listed in the specifications tc1, has a similar, or the same weight as the WTCC cars in 2011 that is 1150 kg, I'm a fan of the WTCC, and as far as I remember the 2011 WTCC cars had 310 bhp, which gives us 3.70 kg/hp, so maybe it is worth to try to set the cars in this specification, all cars - 3.70 kg/hp.

2011 WTCC was sort of what last year's specs were around, so that was why I tried to mimic the newer 2014 WTCC TC1 specs. Except that we won't be dominated by Citroens.

I agree about the Citroen, but TC1 class cars in 2014 was 380 bhp and 1,100 kg and tc2 class was made up of cars from 2011-2013

Formula 1 back today!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it is!... While we're running... But that's what the DVR is for!

The only thing is that I'm fairly confident in saying that the specs are just about done (and it's just about time for some group testing/practice races!), and reclassifying the cars now would be a lot more work. You can take all of these cars, get them all at the same weight and 320 hp, and you'd find that the cars are really all over the place. 380 hp was the goal for each car this time around, and look at the list now. Power is 347 to 406; that's just how game is. To go to 320, I pretty much have to start over.

On top of that, there are plenty of touring car championships on here that run at would be considered TC2 or Super 2000 specs. I look to try and do something different to ensure that we are not rehashing the same stuff. (Even though we sort of are...)

award weight to the podium finishers could keep one make from dominating all the series 💡

And that is something I've given thought to, but it needs more... thought. It becomes complicated when some of the cars already have ballast that's used to get the car to the spec weight.

Midfield is set to go tonight! Different challenges to the Rome street circuit, should be a close race!

Midfield is a kick a$$ track, as was Rome, but Midfield has run-off room... Racing will be fun for sure! I'll be opening a practice room if no one else has one up

Well this is my first night back on since last week. Thankfully remember most of this track from previous GTs so the learning curve is not too steep. Should be a great night of racing
