Gran Turismo offline multiplayer no more?

If GT5 has all we want for online, like private rooms, custom events etc., It would end multiplayer as some of us know it, the sitting down next to your mate on the couch playing around in Skylines, the meeting up with fellow GTP members for an all day GT LAN party. You could simply go online and do it anytime you want, and the Gran Turismo Party will be completely unnecessary, unless you like GT4 more than GT5. I love the online feature, and want it to stay and be improved, but online doesn't beat sitting right alongside your challenger. What do you think will happen?

I would be totally disapointed if PD removed split screen. I love to play two player races wioth my brother and I never go online in GT5 P.

I hope multiplayer doesn't go completely online like a lot of games have in this current generation. Playing with your mates in the same room as you is always fun and online racing will never compare. There is split-screen racing in GT5: Prologue, so hopefully that's a good indication that PD plan on keeping the feature.

I care less for SPLIT. unless they do SPLIT and Single screen REPLAY. Other then that, I want SINGLE PLAYER racing and ONLINE.

So, you don't want to have a GT party with your mates, drinking beer, hanging out? Just join a room and race?
