either you predicted the future through sarcasm or you were being serious but my goodness. its bloody scary how good it isI can see it now. The three levels of difficulty in GT7:
Level 1: AI learns to drive stick for the first time on a racetrack.
Level 2: brake check past apexes of turns
Level 3: IGOR FRAGA
I can't stand the negativity of some members here. Poly and Sony try something and all these members want is minimising the project. We all know how bad the AI is in GT. Can we just enjoy this announcement even if it won't make to GT7 day one. It's this week's cover of Nature the world's leading multidisciplinary science journal

pretty confident "as a friend in races" refers to being a competitor.Yes, but not as a competitor to race against. See the other image on the three possible implementations.
denying official news posted....normal administration on your part when it comes to GTYes, but not as a competitor to race against. See the other image on the three possible implementations.
Skynet beep beep beep... one step closer....This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:
Polyphony Digital and Sony AI Announce “Breakthrough” Project Collaboration
An intriguing message has landed on social media from the official Gran Turismo account and the account of Sony AI teasing what’s referred to as a “Gaming Flagship” and “breakthrough project” in AI. The companies, both subsidiary arms of the wider Sony brand, jointly revealed that they’re set to announce the project at 1600 UTC on Wednesday February 9...
What am I denying?denying official news posted....normal administration on your part when it comes to GT
You're saying it won't come out on GT7 and you've been proven wrong. What am I denying?
Here you goWhat I would have like to have seen in that video was a ride along with one of the human players for a lap and seen how the AI was interacting with it.
Having the AI doing a time trail lap faster than a human not the big challenge, but how the AI would deal with traffic & what it does when it's challenged from behind.
Yep, maybe that is the problem, doing something that makes one thing to complain about go awayI can't stand the negativity of some members here. No I haven't. It says "We want to". Not "we will".You're saying it won't come out on GT7 and you've been proven wrong.
How have I? Where is the factual information that it will be added as a regular AI to race against? If I've missed that I genuinely want to see it.You're saying that most likely it won't be standard implanted in the game and you've been proven wrong.
What? Vspectra made a guess based on what them being your "friend" in races means. He doesn't know anything for certain nor did he claim to.You practically read Vspectra's posts and realize that by now you are closing your eyes on GT for everything.
Did you read the articles and watch the videos and come up with that conclusion? Impressive! So, as far as I understand, it’s fast but dumb. Nothing to be the least bit excited about in other words, as expected.
That is what they are trying to teach it, how to race, and tbf a huge majority of GT players, don`t understand racecraft eitherAs expected it's an AI that's learned pace, which we knew it could do from the last article on the subject published here, what it doesn't look at in any way is racecraft.
Yep, as other teams have done in the past, in most cases the implementation into a commercial product is the tricky bit, as an AI that takes the perfect action every time isn't actually that entertaining. Adding in that 'human fallibility then often breaks it.That is what they are trying to teach it, how to race,
Indeed, but that's not a valid reason for the AI to not have it.and tbf a huge majority of GT players, don`t understand racecraft either

I can’t wait to be honest, but I know that the AI is most likely gonna suck. There are a lot of other aspects I’m looking forward to though.I swear people on this forum don't even like this game. 🤣
Nobody has outright said that. He said he wants to add it to GT7, but clearly at this stage it's hasn't actually been done, so there is no guarantee of anything. It's a plan. This will be available in a future GT7 update. Hopefully it's customisable!
Here you go
Yes, I was wrong. I've no problem admitting that. He wasn't talking about that though.
