Errrm... not sure if this has been mentioned of if it is the appropriate place to mention it, but the brake/hub assembly isn't actually connected to the rim on the F1...

You didn't watch the video, did you?
Hahaha, no, can't say i did :embarrassed: .

Edit.

just did now and that is not a race track, it it was i wouldn't race there, too narrow, this road is used only to show us the new cars :) , something like the road for the cars in the brand central.

So the FT1 is marked as a Grx rather than n500? Assuming that must be an error...

It's probably because of the:

"The specifications for this car are fictitious set created specially for Gran Turismo"

In-game description of the Toyota FT-1 2014, i don't know why they couldn't use the real cars specs and make it a N car in GT S.

Why PD? Why?

Why do you continue to insist on keeping certain information about cars secret? I'm looking at the FT-1 in the dealership and it can't tell me how much the car weights, it's displacement, length, width, or height. Just what the **** guys.... There's no reason for this **** anymore...

Having a money system in a game is just a way to hide the lacks of that game and in some cases forces the player to spend time on repetitive tasks (which end up not being enjoyble) to get something that wont get you any more enjoyment as the content you can use already.

Games like Assetto and PCars are so self-confident of the enjoyment they can offer that they offer all the content from the begining to the player.

Of course, having a progression system can be very positive if it's made with sense. In the career mode of PCars2 the progression system is made in order to offer the same experience as the career of a racing driver. In SLRE2 the progression is very fast and as soon as you master the game and you are way before getting to the middle of the career mode you have access to all the cars (so the level of ability you have matches the level of difficulty of the cars you have access to).

Spending 20 hours (in the fastest way to get money) in order to get two cars that arent more enjoyble than cars much more easy to get and that dont have almost any use on the game (as they wont appear on the Sport mode and in the career mode you can use other cars) it's simply, idiotic.

Lenght : 4,675 mm, Width: 1.970 mm, Height: 1.225 mm and Wheelbase 2.740 mm, it's in the car info thing :).

And that made those games boring at least for me, i missed the grind and have the ability to buy the cars i wanted.

I like the BOP changes, making the 911 a little slower in a straight line and bumping up the Corvette's power should be a good change for all the Corvette fans out there who thought the car was too slow. The only odd change was the Citroen nerf, nobody was using that thing before and now they made it slightly worse? That seems to be a little odd to say the least.

Also the FT-1 in Gr.X? And you can't even pit the two Le Mans racers together in a race? That's really stupid.
Yeah some of the BoP changes seemed unnecessary like the Citroen, at least both Gr4 and Gr3 McLarens got a bump in power which was much needed.

Still don't have the weight which is the most important one of those missing. And why would it be visible in one spot but not another? PD...

Anyone know if they fixed the "credit glitch" bug where you end up with 390million credits and cant do sport mode? It has also made my game crash multiple times

It's also on the Ferrari Enzo. But I think it's only when you are racing that the model has this.

Did you ever play TOCA race driver in the PS2 era? That game had an amazing progression/career system. You actually worked your way up through the ranks of various racing series, had a manager, got sponsorships based on performance, earned money to tune/improve your cars...

...and the game had a robust damage system.

I really wish Codemasters would make another TOCA.

Not happy with the two 60s Le Mans cars being a ridiculous 20 million credits each!

That's far too much money even if you play the game a lot.
<snip>
Going at the 278,000 credits a day I've earnt it's going to take me another 125 days of play to earn the remaining 35 million credits required.

IMHO it's brilliant that the pricing of these ultra rare cars is in the stratosphere.

Challenge is a good thing for me.
Long term goals are good for me.
I don't want a game to be "over" in 125 days.

Finally, rather than use the unhappy word "grind", I always think of it as "earn". For me, if a game becomes a "grind", then I really should move on.

I haven't played, but I heard a lot of it's progression system. I've some people asking for it for Dirt 4.

The Ford GT doesn't sound like it should. It sounds good, but not like a 550hp, supercharged V8. It doesn't sound raw and meaty enough.
The XJ13 sounds completely off as well.

Let's introduce a car that costs 100 million and the game wont never be over.

Of course anyone is free to have fun with whatever he/she wants. But that doesnt negates the nature of that "amusement": you are working (because that's not having fun, that's doing a repetitive task over and over again even if it's not fun) just because of working to get something that wont get you any special enjoyment and it's not real.

The second episode of Black Mirror is the perfect example of this.
