Ofcourse sound is always a subjective thing
True and when i drove the Ferrari 330 P4 2 laps on Monza i had to turn the sound on my TV down, because my ears was hurting by the high pitch sound, so i had already started to think about selling it after that race.

I would rather die than go around and oval for 11 minutes, let alone 11 hours

You can also try Lago Maggiore with the Toyota GT2000 at N200 for 405K clean race. (22 minutes)
Or Tokyo with the KTM XBow N300 for 375k clean race. (16 minutes)
Porsche endurance with N400 Porsche for 756k clean race. (1h 7 minutes)

I'll be trying the Ferrari premium races with the lowest possible Ferrari, see what that makes.

Man!! I need some of that luck. All I get is the same cars literally all the time. Will pressing any buttons while the cursor is highlighting the cars help with which car is selected?
I have been getting hatchbacks since day one, and i dont think that the whole L1 R1 thing works.

There are about 8 real world tracks now. Just curious, what is the minimum number of real world tracks before you buy?

I'd be hesistant to buy at full price unless they add:

Le Mans
Spa
Silverstone
Laguna Seca
Fuji
Tsukuba
Red Bull Ring

And to answer beyond your question:

Grand Valley Speedway
Trial Mountain
Deep Forest
High Speed Ring
Special Stage Route
Midfield Raceway
Apricot Hill

Thankfully I got the game 50% off, putting half my wishes aside. However, must buy game if those were added to the existing track roster. The car list has been shaping up surprisingly well lately, so fingers crossed that GTS eventually catches up to the glory days of its ancestors.

Ferrari 512 BB: GT5/6 had a much pronounced flat 12 engine sound than GT Sport tbh they kinda ruined it unless it get mixed in but no, not good imo.
Technically speaking, the 512 doesn't actually have a flat 12. The pistons are at a slight angle believe it or not. It's not a true boxer.

Being the owner of both Project Cars 2 and GT Sport, it's rather easy to spot differences in the way Monza is created. Monza feels and looks much narrower in GT Sport, and I find myself turning the car either too much or not enough. Project Cars 2 "claims" to have laser scanning but I don't think this is true with Monza. It feels massive in that game, and not quite as accurate.

I sampled the Dodge Viper, McLaren F1, Lamborghini Diablo, Toyota Supra and Ford GT last night, with varying results. I love the Dodge Viper, it's just a Shelby Cobra with more grip. I had a hoot driving it, easily the biggest surprise of this update. Sounds exactly as it should, and I'm not complaining at all. Absolutely brilliant. The McLaren F1 is basically a race car. The grip levels are about the same as the modern supercars (if not better) and it's one of the best handling road cars you can get in this game. Also one of the fastest cars in a straight line. Like to see how it does against the Veyron. The Lamborghini Diablo GT is OK, not mind-blowing but a very solid supercar with decent handling to give the modern metal a good run for their money. The Toyota Supra offers fun in spades; it's an absolute joy to throw around. No, the engine sound isn't crazy loud but after all, it is an unmodified car without anti-lag and a racing exhaust system. So I guess it works fine. I feel like I'm playing Midnight Club 3, just in 1080P with a FULLY FUNCTIONING INTERIOR. Worst of them all (surprisingly) was the Ford GT. I sold it after 10 minutes. It sounds worse than EVEN GT4 and I simply cannot live with it. The handling was good, but that didn't redeem it for me. I was so pissed off, I was expecting a rowdy V8 to come through the TV. But no.

I don't think so but it does remind me of gt3 days and hammering the x button.

Not playing it right lol...play all the different modes get golds if you cherry pick and don't put in more hours you won't get the cash/cars

I've got golds on every challenge
IMHO it's brilliant that the pricing of these ultra rare cars is in the stratosphere.

Challenge is a good thing for me.
Long term goals are good for me.
I don't want a game to be "over" in 125 days.

Finally, rather than use the unhappy word "grind", I always think of it as "earn". For me, if a game becomes a "grind", then I really should move on.

Why is it a brilliant that it takes an abnormal length of time to get these cars? There's no challenge to getting these cars over any other car, other than the obscene amount of time it's going to take. The game isn't going to be "over" in how ever long you take to get these cars. Getting the cars is surely the start of more fun?

This isn't real life where you earn your way to get the nicest and most expensive things in life. This is a game where Polyphony Digital have gone to great efforts to model two of the most beautiful sportscars ever created. I think the people who modeled these fantastic cars would rather people get to experience them, not leave them waiting in the showroom.

I'm thinking almost the same, i think PD will give us some time to earn credits to buy one of the 20 mill cars or get them in rewards and maybe later it will be added a Historic Race Car Cup event in GT League, i'm not so sure about february, but we never know :).

I have this sneaky feeling (just a guess) that the third Le Mans Car will come in March with the Le Mans track. Personally, I think its a bit optimistic to expect a track in February as its only a month away (and its a short month too!) and we might only get a new variation or two to the existing tracks, similar to December (perhaps with a new Dragon Trail layout or the Blue Moon Bay road track in the centre of the oval). But it would fit the DLC pattern so far if they plan to release another track in March at the end of this published DLC cycle. Imagine what would happen if they released a trailer which said "here is the Ford GT from Le Mans, and oh by the way, here's Le Mans to race them all on"...

There does seem to be a strategy in play with the car and track DLC so far, to me at least, with the GT League being an extra originally unplanned in my mind.

Anyway, I'm loving the update but it will be a loooooooooooooong time before I get the two 20m credit cars unless they pop up on that magic wheel (oh and I personally think that L1 R1 X "trick" is a load of bull having failed with it a few times now).

Some people just can't be happy with what they get, even if it's free ffs.

You must be a die hard Craig Lowndes fan I take it? :)

That would be awesome, with the Ferrari 330 P4, Jaguar XJ13, Ford GT40 1966 and the Ford MK IV 1967 in a endurance race on La sarthe and i would be over to moon, i'm hoping for the Ford GT40 1966, i wonder if and when i hit 20 mill again, if i should save it for one the 2 Ford's, if they will appear in GT S that is, it was a bit disappointing that the Ferrari and the Jaguar was Gr. X cars and can only be raced with one-make in custom race.

Looks great!

Yeah, they should come slightly closer to touching the logo, further away from the headlights. Plenty of images on the google. edit - yeah just see above :D
I just kinda threw it together but yea should have had a quick look at Google images

The BoP changes should be an early april joke i guess... worst changes they could possible make only because of there stupid fixed setup crap!

RiP Porsche ffs

They had one thing to do, to nerf the M6 Torquish Topspeed.. but now lets only nerf the Porsch aaand yes the R8, its too fast..wrf. PD ... i have no words for that BoP change... it looks like they have no clue what they are doing...

Porsche was fairly easily the fastest Gr.3 car, not OP as such, just very stable, good in the corners and decent down the straights. If there was any car they should have nerfed, it was the Porsche as it was too good an all round car not to pick in races which is why everyone has picked it pretty much since the release of the game.

I'm bummed I didn't get to check out the update before going to work. I was able to install it this morning, but couldn't connect to GT Sport servers (frustrating since I could see one of my friends was playing GT Sport at the time). Then I couldn't connect to PSN. Crossing fingers all of that is sorted by the time I get home tonight...

I can't even imagine how many duplicate cars we're eventually going to have the more we play.

As of now I have approximately 190 cars and about 60 of them are duplicates.. Heck, even for my birthday present gift car, I got a duplicate car :boggled:.

Especially considering i own every car in the game, except that damn Ferrari P4

Instead of buying the 20 mil credit cars, why not just win them? :P

Imagine buying the car with your super hard earned credits, only to be getting the car through daily workout the very next day.

Heck, my total earned credits is 19.5 mil and I've played the game almost every day since the launch week. Guess I won't be driving the car in the near future. Unless, I'm getting blessed by RNGeesus.
