Gran Turismo Sport 1.41 Update Now Available: Adds Five Cars, More Events

Porsche 930....my favorite car across all games basically. I try emulating CTR Yellowbird to this thing. And yes, its twitchy like Yellowbird but because it has less horsepower its more manageable, like begginer version of Yellowbird.

Honda S800. This thing LOUD and it does sound like a motorcycle engine, which it is actually. Pretty fast for its size and engine and fun to one make.

They say that, if you turn the turbo down to minimum on the YellowBird (I've tried that myself on PCARS 1 and Assetto Corsa), that then it practically becomes a 930 Turbo....An awesome car to join the game!

Edit: @DesertPenguin more confortable, gentle drifting, than anything else! :D

Great update.. I bought all of them,.. except the Jag.. that I shall keep doing my daily driving and hoping I get it in the random car spinning washing machine thingy.

Same here, but from what I have seen there hasn't been a winner of one of the expensive cars in a very long time...

I think it’s mostly the RR displacement combined with a nimble chassis.

The turbo lag was an issue though. Because of the engine placement the resultant weight distribution meant that in tighter corners the car was very unbalnced on the way in. A wrongly timed downchange could bring in boost by accident and then the front is so light you can't counter-steer fast enough. Or something. Never driven one and not ever likely to. Sadly.

Quick first impressions for the new cars in the good old green hell:

930 - Slippery. A lot. And it also screams. A LOT.

Miata - Fun car to drive around. A tiny bit slow for my taste, but it's pretty fun overall.

S800 - Did someone said "where are the breaks?" Because you don't need breaks for this one. No, not because the car is slow, but because you can throw this thing at any corner and still carry the speed while still maintaining control without any problem. The last part of Nurbring is funny because you can go ham in every turn and feel like a racecar!

Civic EK - It's what we all expected. It really feels good to have this car in the game. It's a classic one. Already working on a drift setup for it!

Does the Porsche being a turbo relate to the twitchiness?

Its mostly a big engine placed far back so the weight distribution is so biased towards the back, which made it so twitchy at even dangerous at real life, thats why its nicknamed the widow maker.
Porsche made them more and more stable and safe each model

As others have said, its related to the engine position in the car. With all the weight behind the rear axle, it becomes a pendulum. The saying when tracking these classic Porsches is "Never lift." My dad had one when I was a kid that he tracked. Put it in a wall because he the rear started to get a little loose and he lifted. Spun around like a top.

so the 800MB update took about 1min30 sec to download onto the PS4, but it took well over 20 minutes to copy the file and install it...

Can't wait to start up and discover the changes for myself .... any minutes now...

Eagerly awaiting the new "PVC Pipe" rear tyres that can make this man's drift Civic a reality...

...i mean I guess you could drive it on dirt, bias the brakes all the way forward, and Scandi flick every turn? Maybe that's what he meant? No? I tried...

anyone tested the tyre wear?
Ive been training since monday to a private league, and today my times got worse (tyre wear 7x) with the aston martin gr3, it looks like the tyre wear is affecting the car sooner and more gradually through the laps

Can Someone confirm, that the Cockpit View for the Jag doesn't work properly in Public Lobbys? All Cars from the newest Update doesn't have this issue

Did they add new replay cameras in the Time Trial mode? Or am i seeing things, the replay seems more action styled..

Anyway, this update is amazing, all thanks to one car and a very cool new game mode..

Now it will be settled who is the fastest one every 2 weeks :)

Nürburgring has three laps with different camera angles. Your replay is from lap number 2. ;)

Oh nononono. Don't "what" on me. You guys know exactly what's up! :P

Immediately jumped in the Porsche 930 as soon as the update installed.

It is a challenging car to drive, and it holds dear to the old-school 911 driving methods of “Slow-In, Fast-Out” and “Never Lift”. I go partial throttle on mid-corner and never lift at all, to keep that back end in check.

However, it is definitely more forgiving than the 356 and even the A80/Mk. IV Supra even on max tune.

I've been doing RTC One Makes with BOP On, stock settings and TCS3. The AI cars are way quicker.

I know what you thinking...

Would be cool if someone could replicate this lap in GTS, edited with 80's video style and effects....:bowdown:

Would be even perfect if we have RUF return in GTS... Better wait until next time I guess...

I just realized they're adding the Type R hondas in order of appearance.

First came the NSX Type R in 1992, second the Integra Type R in 1995 and finally the Civic Type R in 1997.
At the moment, I only choose to have the 930, E30 and Roadster TC in my garage. I'd make room for this and only this, if it's next on that list:

Everyone, take the Porsche onto Goodwood. You'll absolutely love it. The car is easy to drive at 90%, but when you push the limits and drive it at 100%, it's a proper handful. A real driver's car that will give you an unforgettable driving experience. I did 21 laps and every lap was different; you can't say that about many cars. You're constantly correcting slides and having some really wild moments, which I love. The 911 930 Turbo has a distinct character which excites and challenges. It was easily one of the best driving experiences I've ever had.
