Gr.4 On Willow Springs instead of Dragon Trail during next day.

N300 Brands Indy (was it full circle only for 2 races today)?

I started the beta with the DS4 and it was dreadful after using the G27 on GT6 for 1800 hours. Last time I used a controller was in GT4 about 12 years ago. I got the hang of the controller in the beta but it wasn't enjoyable to use until I got a G29. I'd rather be class D with a wheel than B with a controller.

Personally I'd rather race with other wheel users. There some great controller racers, but it's off-putting to race around DS4 users which can be twitchy and often display unpredictable handling, braking and acceleration characteristics.

Agreed. The Group 4 GT-R is ridiculously fast of the start line.
I still don't have one with around 40 cars and three or four duplicates.
Please post a photo of your car list sorted by date acquired. If what you say is true, it would totally be abnormal to my own experience and to what others have posted.
I did not receive a duplicate until after the 36 cars that are in the demo were received.
So with "around" 40 cars (the actual number is listed at the top of the garage) you should have received the GT-R in the first 36.

Finally got the Gr.4 GT-R and it is way ahead of the Corvette, Scirocco and Megane I've had i my garage up to now. Managed to win a couple of races at Dragon Trail for the first time with it. So much for PD's idea of BOP

I was a little off, I only have 28 cars with three duplicates. Oldest cars are at the bottom. I have 2 Toyota VGTs, 2 BMW M6 GT3 M Powers and 2 Renault Group 4s. For all intents and purposes, the BMW Walkenhorst GT3 could be considered a duplicate, it just has a different paint job but I didn't count it.

Had an unpleasant encounter with a fellow GTPer at Dragon Trail this evening. I won't name names, but it would be nice to know that kind of treatment would not come from somebody here. I was driving the new 4C I got yesterday, and wasn't worried about be competitive, just trying to make some good clean laps. Apparently I had a target on my quarter panel, that couldn't be resisted by the Genesis. Had me sideways all through the last turn, beat on me down the straight, with a finale of a trip to the sand trap in turn 2. Of course he carried on like nothing happened.

We're not racing for money here folks, it's just a game.

Whoo, just finished 2nd at the Nurburgring. Not sure what suddenly happen to the people in front of me, but they would just get loose, go off and never quite caught back up to me (probably because they were getting punted by the slow pokes who act like this is a high stakes game)

Pretty much my luck today at Dragon Trail with the Genesis in a field mostly of squirrely GT-Rs and their inability to NOT run me over or punt me.

Ouch! I gave Dragon Trail race a shot tonight, knew I was gonna regret it since I haven't figured out the braking zones. I kept with the pack for 2 laps then the errors started... got a 4 second slow-down penalty that wouldn't freaking count away, basically had to stop. 🤬 Probably cost me ~10 seconds total penalty for what was already an unintended error. Crapola...

... but then I got the EVO N300 for my daily workout! It was worth it after all :sly:

Dragon Trail with Gr.3 cars is great. It's nice to keep speed up through the majority of the corners on the track. It's a shame we have to wait 2 days until the races start back up, but it's fun to see how your Gr.3 cars perform on the track. So far, I'm still trying to get to grips with the MR physics in this game, so I wasn't the fastest with those cars. I would be able to keep it together everywhere but the slower corners, where I kind of just fell apart. I'll probably practise a little more in the R8 LMS, since that one was pretty easy to drive compared to most of the other MR cars.

The fastest I managed was a 1:42.8 with my AMG GT3. I can go faster, but considering that it's pretty late, and I'm tired, I made silly mistakes on the following laps. :dopey:

EDIT: 1:42.7 in the 4C Gr.3. Incredibly stable compared to the rest of the MR Gr.3 cars. There's a lot of room for improvement. I think there's a second in there somewhere.

Thanks for posting the photo. Now there is proof that some people are receiving duplicates before reaching the 36 cars. It is a shame you have already received three. I hope you get that GT-R soon.

Finished off the last Nurburing race of the night by placing 2nd (after a nice slipstream battle). Contrary to what I was expecting, The Nurburing has actually been real good to my SR rating as I am now at 69 👍

Was able to hit a 1:41.8 at Dragon Trail - Seaside with the Mustang Gr. 3. I know I can get faster (Maybe a low 1:41 or a high 1:40) I just can't get that back end under control. Not to mention I'm still trying to master that last chicane. My best exit speed is 120 mph/194 km/h I'm pretty sure I can get out a little quicker but that curb catches me if I take it too fast.

Curious to know how everyone else is handling the course in Gr. 3 cars.

Were you in an AMG GT3? I didn't check the gamertag but one of them blew by my McLaren on that big straight at the end.

Yes. Two races on the full circuit and then instead of a third race it showed something about available in 2 days and changed the track to Indy.

N300 Race A now switched to the Nordschleife. ( Brands Indy is gone without hosting a single race) Looks like PD could use some polish on their routine for event publishing.

To be really honest I have little to no interest participating in races with unlocked tuning options. I have no time to fiddle with this stuff and the difference in times is gigantic.

This and people figured what cars dominate each class so it's pointless if you don't have such car - again the difference is HUGE.

But oh well I'll try to get in some races to provide some data to PD.

GT6 quick race had better balanced cars.
I agree, Sport mode should be locked, then normal online can be whatever. It's all fun chasing down the fastest tune though.

GT5 shuffle races anyone? Oh.. those where the days

Another great night!

On Nurburgring, I was fighting for 3rd place with an car without setup.... But an opponent made me slow down greatly because of his mistakes. It's sad but I was happy car I had a lot of fun !

No races for tonight, I'll take this opportunity to report to PoDi ! I can't wait to be on Saturday for another races ! :)
