Simply couldn't watch this. Just ruins It for me. Awful commentary & His idea of testing the BETA By ramming his car Into Walls Redlining Just makes me cringe. I hope those that are In are enjoying It though. Very lucky souls! :)

He was ramming the AI to prove that GTSport had no damage Hahah. Honestly I don't care about damage in GT (although for the sake of simulation it'd be good), GT is a very neat game and I like the cars stay that way on track too :D

Looks like PD disabled damage on all cars but the MY17 GT-R Gr. 4 in this beta.

I wonder if there are any other cars who suffer the same fate? That should give out how the visual damage looked like at this stage.

Again, I think you are missing the point. I am saying that both styles are used widely. To say you can't control a car without your thumb wrapped around the wheel is just close-minded. If you really need to get that much torque out of the wheel it implies you don't have the car under your control, and that you are trying to force it to do something it doesn't want to. You can be a very fast and very safe driver without wrapping your thumbs around the wheel. That said, due to ergonomics of human hands it is most comfortable to wrap your thumb around the wheel, which is why it is so common. The entire point of my argument is that PD did a fine job modeling hands on the wheel, but it seems you think I am trying to argue that it is wrong for drivers to put their thumbs around the wheel.

Examples:
My driving instructor in the Advanced ///M Driving School, Johnathan, with his thumbs 'on' the wheel.

Chris Harris driving the M2 on Top gear with his thumbs 'on' the wheel.

If you still need more examples, than I have given up with this argument, and you can 'win'.

Fisrt I didn't say is impossible to control the car that way (you can control a car with your elbow too) and no, both styles are not use widely. The thumbs on the wheel while racing style simply doesn't exist. You are admiting "due to ergonomics of human hands it is most comfortable to wrap your thumb around the wheel". Thumbs through the wheel is better: more safe and more comfortable. The GT sport way is incredible unnatural and not seen in racing at all.

And again, your examples prove you are wrong by saying GT sport did a good job. Both guys are drifting (!!!).

Im finished with the discussion.

You're missing the point. Wasn't about how bad he was, it was about you for some reason feeling compelled to make a big deal out of him not being good (Which shouldn't be a surprise because today is literally the first time he played the game).

Which again, you for some reason are making a big deal out of when aids have been in this game (and every other one) for quite some time

Because you do this almost every time there is a video of someone not doing so well as if you expect perfect driving when there isn't. Its like you completely miss the point of this game being pitched as something that's for everyone, Which means it again isn't restricted to strictly sim racers.

No, Im not compelled (I didn't say I feel bad or good). No Im not making a bid deal (I simply said he is a bad driver). And no I absolutely didnt say what you are saying in your third paragraph.

Now, If you want my opinion, I prefer that more good drivers test the game, because that way you can see better how is the game. If someone bad is trying the game, I dont blame no one. He doesn't have the fault for being bad, Poly doesn't have the fault for giving him the beta because he is the average gt player and probably is something random.

You are making things up to create controversy. Im done with the discussion.

Absolutely It's all about Testing & Finding large Bugs that could break the Game for some etc! Just couldn't stand the way he talks no offense to the lad. But Marvin's Stream's alot more helpful. Glad those invited are streaming though as It does help get the word out I'm glad theres no NDA as well that those earlier in the day were adamant there was Lol

Well, since people are saying I can talk about the beta, I will. Give me topics you guys are curious about.

Leon can you Check in the Sound Settings if there is an Option for 3D Audio via the Sony Platinum Wireless Headset like Uncharted 4 Has for example etc. Cheers!

These are all the sound options right now. Maybe they'll add support in the future.

I was given:
N300 - Ford Focus ST '15
G3.4 - Renault Sport Megane GR.4
Gr.3 - Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 '11

And, I'm not sure if you know, but you can unlock new cars by driving a certain distance everyday and one of the cars I unlocked from that is the Chevrolet Corvette C7 Gr.3

Hows the sound and physics compared to GT6?

How does the Corvette handle?

Physics are TONNES better that GT6, like I thought GT6 was advanced. THIS feels ultra realistic with all the leaning and lurching the car does as you go round a corner or over a bump. And the same can also be said for the sound. And not just the sound effects. Each car FINALLY sounds like a different car, not just the same hum you would hear for every car in GT6. And you can tell if a car has a turbo or a supercharger on it just by the hearing it. And for the racing BGM, unlike in GT6 it's actually half decent. I think I even heard some Panic at the Disco but I'm not sure. Either way, is not too bad, but I know most people will just end up using Spotify anyway.

Would be nice to see a new Daiki Kasho song for the game, though.
There are certain Daiki Kasho songs from GT6, to my knowledge Daiki is not currently working on any GT music.
I have been told this is also Daiki's work, it will be part of GT Sport as seen in some promotional footage, it's a in-race song.
(Starts at 2:00)

Daiki Kasho was hired to work on GT6 music around 2 months before release, so we may still see some Daiki action :)

There is damage in GT Sport! (partially)

Look at the GT-R's rear bumper...

The Chasis dents upon contact or you can say the paint peels off too.

Also we have sparks.

I'd say we can expect a comprehensible level of damage in the full game, but who knows.
At least the sounds are good now :D, hearing crackles and pops in GT is a first.

That's great! - I did't notice that at all.

Not really, iRacing works that way too. Better to assign both the penalty than wrongly assign one the penalty
that means if some chimp crashes me, i loose points??? how stupid is that? so the cleanest driver ever would never get a better ranking when every race he get hit by some morons?

Maybe that song was meant for GT6 but didn't make the cut? Fingers crossed either way. :dopey:
