It's refreshing to know now that "Sport Mode" is accessible w/out a PS+ account. I thought I'd be missing out and be limited to "Arcade Mode" only but it doesn't seem to be the case. Hopefully it carries over in to the final version.

Interesting video, both games need Audio improvements. Visually GTSport's lighting is leagues ahead.

Lol at this video.Pcars 1 vs GTS.Pcars using a controller vs GTS using a wheel.I dont have anything to say just to copy paste the opinions under the video that say "Pcars is an arcade while GTS is a sim".

pCARS captures the different tones of the engine better. In GTS it just sounds like a rather generic Aston V12. Graphically, GTS has better lighting. pCARS has better track atmosphere, especially in the Indy section.

Broke out the racing gloves for GTS...

Is a PS4 Pro worth it for this game if you have a PS4 already or is it just beneficial for framerate and photo mode?

Got screwed over by Braking Assist in my first online race. I don't want that option, since I actually like to overtake other drivers. :ouch: Anyway, we were N300 at Willow Springs, I was stuck in my Evora. I forgot to disable the assist, but it shouldn't be on in the first place. Why is this even a feature?

Had a fun race at Willow Springs. Started 4th, finished 2nd. Was good to be surrounded by random clean racers for once! SR working well there! :D

Same I had my yellow Evora and kept messing up during the qualifying because the braking assist luckily I turned it off before the race

Just finished my second online race, and made it into third place. I really need to brush up on my racing skills. I went off track at least six times on the Nurburgring, which is my favorite course. D:

A few things I've noticed that I haven't seen mentioned already:

- The controller (DS4) button mapping isn't as flexible as I'd like (unless I've missed an additional setting menu somewhere) - you have to choose a steering and an accel/braking preset, and can't map any additional/alternative buttons to the accelerator or brake, and can't change the buttons that the preset maps out (i.e. if you select R2/L2 for accel/brake, you can't change what those buttons do). Kind of an issue for me since I'd been using R2 as my accelerator, L2 as my reverse, and Square as my brake on PS3, and as far as I can tell that setup isn't attainable in the current version I've seen. Likewise, the gearshift presets allow the right stick to be set as the shifter, but the preset map sets shift up as R stick down and shift down as R stick up, opposite of what I've been used in past games, and there wasn't an option (again, as far as the menus I saw) to invert the controls. I've set shifting to the bumpers and I'm managing decently there, but I'm having to un-learn and re-learn a lot of muscle memory because of the forced switch of controls. (IMO this setup may actually be better/give me more precise control on my accel/brake situation in the long run, but I'm still having to relearn and re-wire).

- A bit of the standard GT HUD info has changed that may put in another small learning curve, especially in regards to shifting. Upshifting appears per-usual (if not more precise/improved), but the HUD rev counter no longer displays until you're near the limiter, which makes downshifting and wheelspin more difficult to judge with just the HUD data. I don't think this would be a problem to anyone that relies audio or the vehicle's dashboard for rev/shifting cues, but for those that don't it'll require another rewire and a better understanding of each car's behavior car-per-car (which, actually, IMO is better for the user as it should allow them to better understand car behavior and be more dynamic in learning other vehicles).

- I've heard race BGM from both GT5 and GT6, as well as a few songs I didn't recognize - I've seen people mentioning GT5P (which I never played), so I'd bet it's a mixture of all three of those games. I think PD just carried over most of that as placeholder music for the time being.

The '09 Evora was one of my three starter cars so I'm super excited to be able to directly compare to GT6, I'm already finding massive amounts more control just in having the DS4's joysticks being more sensitive and precise than the DS3.

Many people call the DS4 hyper sensitive yet forget(or don't know) the DS3 is almost the exact same experience if given a game that can use that kind of sensitivity. Take NFS Shift 2 on PS3, turn the speed sensitivity to 0, deadzone 0 and leave everything else default. Thank me later for opening your eyes. And many more future drunken drives from over-sensitive controls.

Then there's also the design of thumbsticks being a huge variable to some players. Convex thumbsticks don't work well with xbox users for example. Their thumbs slip right off and they end the game in a fit of rage, more than a dozen times. Likewise I find the "new" DS4 thumbstick design to be less useful than that of the DS3, which I was perfectly suited to and had much control over the car, mainly due to increased surface area and additional height to work with on the DS3.

Assuming this is all controller related, to actually get minimal variables when comparing the Evora between GTSPORT and GT6, simply use one controller for both games. It appears the DS4 is your favourite, so simply plug it into your PS3. All the buttons on the DS4 minus the home button and touchpad(or was it share button?) work, when you have the controller plugged into the PS3. As you can imagine, you'll need a PS3 controller to work around this.
