When do I get a new track in arcade mode? I have almost 80 miles I think but still just Brands Hatch to use.

I wish I knew, I'm hoping another will unlock today as part of my daily marathon *shrug*

Watching american streams, a lot of you guys say Lancer rather than EVO. More people say WRX than Impreza as well so consistency people.

Hi guys! First post on GTPlanet, but long-time reader. :gtpflag:
I wanted to make a question but I don't know if this is the right place.
So I registered for the US beta, although I've got a Brazilian account, and surprisingly I got a code! I wasn't able to download the beta through the Brazilian PS Store, so I made an US account, redeemed the code, went back to the older account and started playing.
I wanted to know if it's okay for me to stream on YouTube using the BR account. I'm afraid of getting banned :nervous:

Americans ARE pretty terrible right? ;)

Something new would be cool, I just want the Nordschleife back.

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but I noticed in the beta last night that there was a aerial radar similar to Helicorsa for Assetto Corsa. I was able to see all the cars around me.

Apologies if this is already a known thing. I was searching the forum, but could not find any reference to it.

So what was with skid recovery force and why did they do away with it?
You can see it in action in GT5 video below:

If you break traction, it gave you more grip so to find the limit you had to push beyond it, some events had it forced on like above. Can be quite fun though. I think it was introduced to stop having separate physics options like in GT5P, Standard and Professional. They toned it down for GT6 IIRC and looks like they have finally got rid of it for GT SPORT.

Seems like GT SPORT is a lot more realistic and easier to drive compared to previous games so probably they don't see the need for it any more, bit pointless in the first place IMO given they offer driving aids. Also if people get used to it, it doesn't teach you good driving techniques. It would have been a bit silly if they gave FIA Gran Turismo Digital Licence for passing events with SRF forced on, wouldn't put it past PDI though given how licence tests are in GT6.

Playing with the Jaguar, with Racing Super Softs. Still trying to get the hang of the controller. Also, is there a way to check what tires your opponents have on? I'm curious if they change out tires to match yours, or if they are stuck on Racing Hards.

The way that car drifts looks very promising physics wise. :tup:And some of the camera angles like the 1st corner at 7:00..

Ps. I find Assetto Corsa a bit plain.. Have to drive atleast gt2/gt3 to find any feel. And the setups of the cars on consoles, to be frank, are BS.. Its nice yes, but i wouldnt say the difference on console is as big as AC fans let one understand.

Yeah hitting the left/right d-pad arrows flips through some driving options. I will say I haven't config'd my buttons yet and there was no option to select a wheel for the game, my T300/CPX/CSR-E setup just worked instantly (fyi). But I don't recall seeing that opponent radar, thats pretty awesome.

I have received a code to access the Gran Turismo Sport Closed Beta , even here in Brasil with my brasilian account.A very good surprise because i didn´t knew that Brasil were include into the test.
The bad point is that i can´t go on PSN due to a psn error ws-37397-9. Banned IP it seems, even if i´ve never did anything wrong, this is the third time it happen on my PS4.
I´ll have to wait the next week to enter PSN on another friend´s internet server...
Patience.

Banned IP? What does it mean?

Does anyone know what number of beta testers that there are now? Even as a tester myself I have no idea but it seems the number has increased significantly

My internet server dispatch his connection to a lot of people in the city by radio sinal. We all have the same IP adress.:grumpy: The things go back to normal after a week or 2 generally.

It means that some idiot in Praiano's area did something so stupid that Sony had to block PSN access across the whole area.

More likely, he has a dynamic IP address from his ISP that some idiot in his area had when he did something stupid and now he's inherited said IP and is being banned from Sony. I'd suggest calling your ISP and request a new public/dynamic IP address.

How do people hotlap the ring? isn't it only available in Sports mode?

No hotlapping per se (arcade mode), we can only to the sport mode time trial qualifier for now. Unless you count that as hotlapping.

Something I noticed while driving the C7 Gr.4 around the 'Ring was how easy it was to regain control after getting loose with zero assists on.

In Project CARS or Assetto Corsa, if you hit an odd bump at speed while driving around the 'Ring, that was pretty much it. You'd swerve dangerously for a bit to try to regain control but quickly spin out into the barriers.

In GTS, the car swerves a bit but I can regain control pretty easily. It's like the tyres find magic grip or the aerodynamics find more air and push the car down automatically.

Just an observation! :D

I totally agree that gts is a little bit too forgiving with some of the car recovery however I feel that pc completely over exaggerates what it takes to spin a car, as for ac i can't say much because I don't have a lot of experience with it but I do remember it feeling much better than pc

I wasn't expecting to get in, but I did. Sweet.

So far just from my first impressions I am REALLY enjoying the physics. It's not groundbreaking like 5 to 6 was, but it's been refined and it feels great.

And the graphics are of course, brilliant. My jaw dropped when I first saw the opening cutscenes. I barely saw any gameplay footage so I guess I've yet to be desensitized to them lol.

I'll have to try more sport mode later on, I've just dabbled in Arcade mode for now.
