Never ever going to happen ever! PD are aiming at a different market "sim racing for Dummies" if you will IRacing is full on smash you over the head hc sim racing, GT games have always been nearer to simcade than all out sim. I like what PD are trying to do. Hurry up with the EU beta.
It doesn't have to be like that in my opinion. I think if PD nail the net code, GTS can be the leader in online racing.

I've received 0 normal cars. I think I have like 12 or so cars by now. I have all the best gr.3 and 4 cars, so I can't complain.Wish I could get something other than Gr. 3. Wanna trade???

Given that GTS is mainly an online racer, getting the netcode spot on is a must, from what i've seen so far ghosting is a big issue, I think someone posted a few days ago telling of his experience on willow springs where the guy in front put 2 wheels on the dirt, he suffered no penalties at all no loss of speed, if they did that in AC or PC he would have span out. If they can iron out a few niggles, they'll have something pretty special on their hands.

Well, that's the reason given. But really, it could've been done if pretty graphics hadn't been given the primary spot on the priority list. GT6 had dynamic time/weather and almost did a steady 60fps. The PS4 is much more powerful (and supposedly easier to work with).
Then again, one could argue that pretty static environments will sell better to Joe Gamer than slightly less stunning dynamic environments.

I know it's a nitpick, and likely due to them wanting to show off their new engine or hdr or whatever, but after a couple hours the magnificent sun glare that seems to appear on everything becomes jarring and distracting. I hope it is related to the time of day these tracks are locked in at or something. And the blinding white light of heaven when exiting tunnels is still there...
I really wish they would spend just a bit less time on graphical purity as other areas need more attention.
Having said that, I still feel this is an all around improvement for the series and am liking so far, hope this trend continues.

Just a had a really great race in the Gr.3 catergory I managed a second place finish.Ian was about 12 seconds ahead... Great race nonetheless

I'm still here just been lurking mostly. I haven't played GT games in awhile as when I was playing GT6 my ps3 hard drive died and to restart all that process.... I just stepped to the sideline until GT for PS4. I'm having a hard time with the all the aids off. I can only play with mild abs on.

I'm way too tired of waiting and I know many guys here are too.. so what you gonna do you gotta make fun of it So far gt sport seems much better than gt6 pretty much in a whole. I haven't had a lot of time to put in it though. I am having an issue that i have with a lot of of other games. When i look side to side in a darker area the screen goes black, it also does after a race when it goes to the reward page. When it goes to the rewards page i have to push the PS button and go back into the game to see the rewards page. Any ideas? Thanks

I am still patiently waiting for a beta code myself. I caved in and set up a new US account with help from my american friend (Still nothing yet!) so hopefully I will get one in the EU beta? It does seem a long wait for the EU one though since Mar17th.

Best improvement I noticed is the tire noise lol.. I hope we can simplify that hud, it is WAY too busy.
I will pull out my wheel setup tonight or tomorrow morning and see how the FFB is.
It's still Gran Turismo, and that's not a bad thing.

Did my first race, and every body seemed pretty clean. A few too late brakers, which caused them to ghost through me a little. I now remember why I also hated driving on Brands Hatch on any game. Never really could drive the track well consistently. Second race I got disconnected from, when trying to form the lineup, so I stopped. Then I let my 9/yo nephew give some time trial runs with my wheel.
Still testing out my Fanatec CSW as well. So far the shifter and clutch don't work, which I can live with for now

Every time after the countdown ends during qualifying time trial, a "Preparing to start a race" message show up and it stays there for some time before this error shows up. Happened several times and sometimes happens right after i signed up.
This is why i'm not a big fan of the Online focused games.
