My hard cutoff will be around noon-1pm-ish EST, that’s when I need to leave to catch my plane home. Sadly I won’t be able to catch the last minutes of server life, I’m scheduled to land around 40 minutes before the servers go down, no shot I can get home in time for that, let alone set up the PS4 and get the final daily race slot.

Now down to 7 wins left, starting to match with dirty players, we’ll see if I need to catch some morning rounds.

I’m down to 5 to go, it’s 2 am, and a gang war between a set of Americans and Brazilians has erupted. Neither side likes me cuz I’ve refused to help the American rammers and the participating Brazilians seem to be going after anyone with a foreign flag - sometimes this has helped me cuz they all take each other out, sometimes I’m 2-3 people’s target and I can only really deal with one rammer at a time.

I just wanna race, man

I looked on Kudosprime's website and the last available race will be at 1:50am at Maggiore, so you may as well say we have less than 24 hours before the final shutdown of the online server. I will miss this section of the game a lot. All the fun time trials trying to beat most everyone and watching their awesome replays. GT sport won't be the same from here on out.

Thanks for all good memories!!!! GTS Sport was a nice preview of GT7.
And in some sections better that GT7!!!!
Update: (Better in online lobbies and in GT League mode)

Damn, I'm 32 wins and 33 poles short of the trophies.

Maybe I should try hunting GT5 and 6's trophies instead.

It’s past 4am EST and the lobbies have dried up to very small matches, but I can’t escape this one fast but dirty American.

I’m down to 4 more wins left, and I’m not sure if staying up through the small lobbies while drowsy or taking a nap and taking fuller lobbies in the final rush while more focused is my best bet. I’m doing ok now but the longer I push the less I’ll be able to wake in time to grind, pack up, and leave for the airport. :scared: This new-found “rival” needs 9 more wins, and surely he’ll go to sleep one day, right? Right???

But hey good news, just won the Toyota Sports 800 from the daily spin of doom, which is new to my garage.

Well I will shed a tear or two tomorrow evening for the farewell of online part of GT Sport. There are lots of memories I will not forget in this game.

I am a little sad I had to give up on those online trophies but with my getting my new job back in November my time to commit to that was vastly reduced and my mutlitude of games I have ongoing but at least can still play the career stuff and maybe one day reach level 50.

Good memories not to be forgotten/

I

Create race mode is better in GTS than in GT7, where you can't turn boost off.

Gt7 is also better in custom races in some other ways, like custom grids witch you can’t create in gt sport, and dont forget how bad the car classes was in gt sport, i don’t deny that gt sport did some things better, but overall gt7 is by far the better game between the two.

So after tomorrow, is every copy of GTS going to become a glorified coaster or what?
Would not think so the game is going to still be playable for the offline stuff so we won't loose access to that, just the online portions of the game will stop working.

Boost options are better in Sport, but that’s where the benefits stop. Group X and no custom grids leave GTS in 7’s dust.
Boost trumps EVERY advantage in GT7. It just isn't worth playing due to rubber band that can't be turned off.

My last scape photo was taken on November 28, and my last two daily race wins were on January 27. I have decided there wouldn't be anymore scape photos, liveries or daily races for me. After the end of life update in GTS, the lobbies I plan to host shall solely be in GT7.

I've had the worst luck trying to get into a lobby this evening. I've only been able to get into 2 races (both Race As, one at lunchtime and the other right after work) but any attempts at getting into Races B or C have seen me get disconnected while loading the lobby. :grumpy:

UPDATE: I spent 5 minutes waiting for a Race B just now, and got disconnected again. I got my time down to a 2:06.3, so I've got that going for me.

The GT Sport news posting from yesterday links another posting from the initial announcement last September, stating which components of the game will be inaccessible.

I'm thinking I might redownload GTS, not to experience the last few minutes of server life, but rather to see and experience the game in an offline setting.

Not even close gt7 has campared to gt sport,
1 full vr support witch is a game changer, gt sport only had it in arcade race against 1 other car with much lower graphics
2 gt7 has dynamic wheather gt sport dosen’t
3 gt7 has gt auto witch offer much more customize options that gt sport has none off
4 gt7 has upgrade shop with parts not avaialble in gt sport quite boring with just a slider and you cant upgrade the brake in gt sport witch made road cars a pain
5 gt sport classes is a disaster very unbalanced every gr,x car was completly useless,
gt7 is not perfect but pp system works far better
6 neither had a good single player. gt sport still slighly worse, things like licences missons and circuit experinces was way to easy to gold,
7 the ai is not good in either, but at least gt7 has the option with sophy witch is still not where it needs to be but better at least,
8 outside of boast thing the customraces is better in gt7 as you can create and race against any cars you want witch is not feature i seen in racing game on consoles since forza motorsport 4,

so no gt sport is not even close to match gt7, the advantages is more than a little in favor to gt7

I finally got that one last win in Race A. I started 2nd, and had half a sniff up the inside as the polesitter went wide at T1, but they were able to hold on until the downhill chicane, where they took too much kerb on the left-hander and went off a bit, but it was only enough for me to eke out a car's length of a lead into the long right sweeper. I shook them off a bit through the Esses at the end of the lap, and that was enough for me to hold them off for the 2nd lap.

Since coming back I only got tangled with dirty drivers twice, and only one of those was particularly egregious (punting me off at the penultimate corner on Lago Maggiore).

GTS was (past tense already 🙁) a GT game far from being perfect. I used to love it and hate it. It's one of those cases, you know....

Gran Turismo games are a very big part or my life as a gamer and surely Sport has its place in my heart.

Thanks for the memories, GTS.
