The final ever Daily Race featuring the best drivers in the Americas.

I have replays saved from the final three races so if there is anything you want to see I can post it.
Also Nenkai is archiving a lot of the online data.

so, we can't make new liveries with basic decals or even paint the car?
No. As in no you can't. You can take pretty pictures with scapes though. Not with the car in the colour you want it in...

What I find weird is that if you selected car had a livery applied prior to the shutdown, the number plate decal and rims (albeit with the original colour) will remain intact.

And yet, no real way of changing them.

No, but since this was actually communicated by PD back in September this ought not to be a surprise... We even said it in our article back then:

Following that, at 0600 UTC on January 31 2024, the online services will be shut down. This will result in the loss of access to all of the game’s online multiplayer modes and features.

That will include not only the community, lobby, and Sport Mode features, but other items that require server access — including those PSN Trophies requiring online activities.

The Mileage Store will also close, and all custom liveries will be removed — resulting in any vehicles with a custom livery reverting to its standard colorway. Players can of course preserve these by sharing them to GT7 and saving the styles in that game.

So when will Nenkai make the archive where we can still view our profiles, I mean I don't know how many total credits I have. So, where did PD take all our liveries, at the local junkyard?

Emphasis on "static" - I've only archived data which was critical for the server to run; I have not archived any user generated content or even a website at all, this was not my goal
The goal was to retrieve the very important data that could perhaps be reused by a server replacement if that ever happens in the distant future.

Yeah, it did it to me at about 4:30 this morning, I had to restart my ps4 to get it working again. Jordan posted an article on the closing of GT sport three hours ago. Well I guess I'm stuck with my current suit and helmet, I can't customize or paint it anymore.
It seemed fine the second time I went into the game so I think it must have been a random little bug.

All in all at least we can still play and for my main account I was able to save my 56 liveries and all the race suits/helmets in GT7 so I can still use them so that's good.

Hi,
Following the announcement of the End of Online Services for GT Sport at the end of the month, I suspect the end of availability of player profiles data on the web. That's why I, quite recently, added a caching of those data for profiles accessed on Kudosprime.com (K'). To be complete: only profiles accessed on K' while being connected to K' will be saved for later access. A message at the top of the page will confirm saving. If not already bookmarked, you can search for your K' profile here.

Since i'm not 100% sure how the GT official website will respond to data query after 31th, i strongly recommend to avoid accessing K' profile just after 31th.
Thank you for reading.
Thanks for the heads up @Milouse . I've been onto your superb site and cached my data 👍

You can access your profile data still via kudosprime.com as per the post above, I you're registered on the site.

Strange thoughts and feelings going through my head right now.

Through GTS I got to meet all the "big cheeses" at Orange Box Arena in London in 2016 on the second (public) day,
@Jordan and the top echelons of :gtpflag: including Mr "read the article" @Famine ...

My selfie moment on the stage with Kazunori is a treasured memory :)

And a shout out to all those who I met beforehand in Starbucks in the shopping centre and marched with me to the venue 👍

And being one of the first outside of Polyphony Digital to see the pre-pre demo of GTS, the rerun of the presentation

and the Lotus Evora which sadly never made it into GTS but was there to enjoy in 2016

And now I am back here for the end in 2024 (even the copyright date says its 2024...)

So much has happened both online and in my life since 2016 (as it is with everyone I'm sure)

I definitely won't miss this though...

Thanks for the memories GTSport, GTPlanet and look forward to many more 👍

Do I understand correctly that special Audi R18 TDI Le Mans 2011 (which could only be acquired from Daily Marathon) that I hunted for a loooong time is now impossible to get?

Well, it's no point in dwelling over it, it's done, so all we can do is move on to the gt7 world. I am going to always miss the online services that were provided in GT sport.

It's sad to see game in offline state now 🙁 i wish we could still change rims and colors somehow. Some of the cars in my garage still have custom rims/sunstrips on them but they are stuck with stock paint which looks ...meh
