This is why Physical games matter. Imagine if this was digital only.....
Ok, good to know. Does that also mean that even when the GT Sport Servers shut down, my liveries that I shared will still show up then?My answer comes a bit late but just in case, NO, you DON'T NEED to own the car in GT7 to transfer a GT Sport livery.
The livery will be available in GT7 as soon as you'll own the car.
Liveries can be seen in the livery editor / open a concept / search all

See the difference between GT7 liveries and GT Sport ones, waiting to be "converted".
If you already played GT7 I guess so.Ok, good to know. Does that also mean that even when the GT Sport Servers shut down, my liveries that I shared will still show up then?
The cars that got custom liveries in GT Sport will be reverted to their original liveries.Ok, good to know. Does that also mean that even when the GT Sport Servers shut down, my liveries that I shared will still show up then?
Sorry for my OT comment to follow but this is a good example of why digital IDs should be avoided. So when your government suggests to introduce them beware and refuse. This is why Physical games matter. Imagine if this was digital only.....
Most of the physical copies will be in the discount bin by now. My local EB Games still has brand new GT Sport copies, but now they're going for something like $15I tried to buy GT Sport in the PS Store two weeks ago and it wasn't possible anymore. Just wishlisting.
GT Sport has been cheap for years now. I got a new copy for $20 back in 2019.Most of the physical copies will be in the discount bin by now. My local EB Games still has brand new GT Sport copies, but now they're going for something like $15
I appreciate the answers I got, but I just realized I was not as specific as I had thought with this question so let do that:Ok, good to know. Does that also mean that even when the GT Sport Servers shut down, my liveries that I shared will still show up then?
Believe me I really want to, but I'm not able to at the moment.@RACECAR Why wait? Buy GT7 now and get importing.
Easiest way to farm poles is to play late at night when lobbies are waaayyy less populated, just grind out some laps on your most ideal combo when you’re free, I don’t think they’re going to cycle the dailies another time before the servers go down. Could be wrong though.Hey, alert alert!! I really want to get that Platinum trophy before the server shuts down for good, I've got 26 wins, 39 pole positions. So I may be able to do it, I will have to put in a tremendous amount of work and continue to look at the pros replays if I want to succeed and pull this off, I may need your help guys. I can't do this alone.
I'm stuck at a stand-still with Maggoire, cannot improve my time of 2'05.586, there's a lot you have to know about the track, the white sausage curbs come in handy, for the last sector. That section is killing about a second of my time, I will show some replays later and show you all what I'm doing on the track.
They have GT sport for $15-$20 at Walmart depending on the condition it's in, used or new. I'm glad that I'll still be able to do the GT league events and enjoy the arcade mode and everything else, including the scapes and liveries. I am making a seperate conversation about this, this weekend which will only be available to 10-11 members so be looking out.
Ok, thanks for the info, what's your PSN username?Easiest way to farm poles is to play late at night when lobbies are waaayyy less populated, just grind out some laps on your most ideal combo when you’re free, I don’t think they’re going to cycle the dailies another time before the servers go down. A or B will be your fastest grind for wins, only 20 mins per entry, so for you that’s a minimum of 22 hours.
Same as it is on here, not sure when I’ll be playing as I’m prepping for my trip to Daytona in a couple weeks, but I fully intend to get the 91 wins before I leave on the 22nd.Ok, thanks for the info, what's your PSN username?
That's what I've been wondering.Would we be able to by cars in the dealership?
The soundtrack/mood/atmosphere as well as that Mercedes F1 car Lewis Hamilton drove. Now obviously these will still be accessible, but I can't see myself returning to GT Sport after it gets shutdown.Yes, Sport has been a wonderful game with many tracks that have amazing HD graphics that look so real you are experiencing the feel of the game and environment. Man, I'm sure gonna miss the Sport mode, it has been fun racing with other people from around the globe. So, what are you all going to miss about Sport once PD makes this indefinite change on January 31st.
I hope we all still can, I mean surely PD would not keep us from buying cars in the dealerships. That's the main part of the game. And you need cars to enter certain events in the GT League and Campaign mode.Would we be able to by cars in the dealership?

I still love firing up GT5 & GT6 on the ps3, if you have the disks you can still enjoy single-player, this will be totally gone, People are right PS/Kaz does not care about preservation, PS 1 to Ps3 GT games can be played still easily, but how easy will GTSport & GT7 be in 10-15 years time. GT8 is prop in production but will take ages to come out and GT7 a sit needs online to play it, you will only be left with Arcade mode. Once the licencing runs out, Look at the last Forza Motorsports game its totally gone and consider it only was released a few years ago to boot. I am not a fan of these live service-style games which is what we have nowadays. We pay full price for these games but you will never keep them for more than a few years...The soundtrack/mood/atmosphere as well as that Mercedes F1 car Lewis Hamilton drove. I recently swapped the hdd for a ssd in my ps3 and had to reinstall the game patch for patch (otherwise the patches will mess up the files) and GT6 is way worse than I remembered it ._.GT6 on the ps3
If you have the disc versions of GT Sport or GT7, pretty easily. Sure you won't have lobbies or Daily Races but you'll have the Campaign mode and the Brand Central available to you. They'll likely do the same when GT7 has its servers shut down and once again, anyone with a Disc copy can just load it back up and play it.I still love firing up GT5 & GT6 on the ps3, if you have the disks you can still enjoy single-player, this will be totally gone, People are right PS/Kaz does not care about preservation, PS 1 to Ps3 GT games can be played still easily, but how easy will GTSport & GT7 be in 10-15 years time.
Yes, I will truly miss the online mode in GTS, I wish I had bought it in October 2019 when I bought my ps4, but I was feeling bad and was really sick, see we have health issues and money was tight back then so I waited until May 2021 to buy a copy of GT Sport at Best Buy, it was $39.99. I didn't join Sport mode until January 2022, so I had a good two years of fun.Understandable to delist games as licenses expire and shut down servers to save costs and capacity. And unlike other always online games (looking at you, The Crew), PD at least have the decency to make the offline part playable after server shut down.
What I cannot understand is why they don't let us save liveries locally. It couldn't be more than a few MB for each livery, and storage space on PS4 is practically unlimited. I understand if we cannot browse other people's liveries anymore but at least let me save the hundreds of hours of hard work and other people's work that I have curated over the years.
Same thing with mileage exchange parts and cars. They should just update the shop so all items are available to buy permanently.
Anyway, thank you GT Sport for the memories. It's definitely my most played GT since the first game and the one that turned me into an online racer. On PS4 compared to GT7 the menus are so much more polished and faster, the soundtrack better, and the overall ambience is reminiscent of GT5P. It has a much more modern and clean feel instead of GT7's home map pandering to nostalgia, but isn't actually better to use. It's nice not having to buy your own tyres for online, or worrying about parts and setup (just a simple power/weight slider for BOP). Offline GT mode is way better structured than GT7's cafe menus. The drawbacks are lack of car customization, and the physics/FFB are bad compared to GT7 now. Oh and the smaller car/track list of course but that's obvious. I will miss the cars that doesn't make it over to GT7 like Mercedes F1 and Fittipaldi VGT.
I've pretty much done everything except beat 4 of the LH DLC. Tried getting back to it but the physics/FFB and the understeer monster AMG reminds me why I loathe driving it in the first place. Guess I'll never get to drive that LH VGT after all. Apart from that, I'm proud to say that I never missed a single online time trial since release. The current one ends on Jan 26th - I wonder if PD will add a last one or that will be it. Regardless, I'll be sure to login on the final day to take screenshots of everything online (stats page, photos, livery library) and maybe even do a final online race or two.
for all the good times GT Sport October 2017 - January 2024. Your online racetracks wil be empty but those memories will live on.
Yes, I agree with everything you said. It's a shame I couldn't play the special Lewis Hamilton time trial, see I think they took it off in 2022. And I ordered the time trial package for $8.99 and it said after I placed the order that it's no longer available at the Playstation Store. Are you on my friends list? I need some help in Sport mode, gonna take a crack at the 91 wins and 65 pole positions to earn my first ever Platinum trophy. I gotta put the work in the next 3 weeks, it's crunch time now.Understandable to delist games as licenses expire and shut down servers to save costs and capacity.
