Gran Turismo Sport End of Life Announced for January 31 2024

The closure of servers seems understandable. Today I opened GTSport and even did one of the two TTs. Initially I did a slow lap and my position was at 1.125 (double and/or triple profiles included). Few people therefore, even in the online rooms.

I have to say, I think I’ll give up on this, it’s like 50 hours of Le Mans with a red bull or 8 x 24h afk, then I need to do the gold on nordschkiefe - fun that lol

If you don't own the car in GT7, im afraid you will lose them. I too have some liveries on cars (like the GT40 Mk1) which i don't yet own on GT7. Definitely sucks.

?? OMG which "genius" comes up with that idea?? So because I haven't had (of course!!) the 911 RSR to the beginning of the game (GT7 but I had it in GT-Sport), I will lose my own made livery?

I mean, you still have time until January 31... the 911 RSR is easy to get but the GT40 costs like 20 million and is just one of many cars...

Just to be clear on this: Do you need the actual cars in order to even transfer their liveries to GT7? At this point, GT7 on a PS4 is looking more and more like my sole option so I'd like some clarity on this.

Yes, you need to obtain the car in GT7, otherwise you can't transfer your livery. Which is probably why i'll lose my GT40 livery.

I would think so as the campaign mode/mission challenges/CE and driving school and all the arcade,drift,time trial, drift and custom race modes would stay open for all fellow players for all ages. It's too bad I didn't sign up in time for the Lewis Hamilton Time Challenges, I missed an opportunity for some big bucks!

If I recall, you just simply bought the thing by going to it in the menu and you could then do the challenges. Not sure if its still available for now until December.

Well PD said that they would leave that option open for anyone playing GTS in the future. I mean they would have to in order for people to buy cars and trucks. Now we would not be able to share photos and liveries anymore, only save it locally.

You'll have a better offline career mode than GT7.
Online is not what a game should be focused on. It's the biggest problem with a lot of these games than only focus online. GT Sport saved itself from the same horror since they added all the career races from the backlash.

I'm assuming so, they would have to in order for everyone to continue playing campaign mode, arcade, drift trials, scapes, etc. Now you wouldn't be able to share stuff anymore.

GT40 costs less than 10 Mil, around 6.5 I believe.

This is, fantastic news actually. Did not expect to see any online only game preserve its solo play content like this. What I've felt these games should've been doing for years (RIP The Crew 1 soon).

For the first time, GT7 is on my radar. I ignored it before, thinking "what's the point of a finite experience". Now I'm interested to see what it has to offer.

Not cool. Gt sport is a perfect gateway game for PS4 users as gt7 loads significantly slower on older machines. I have both 4&5 psvr2 . My poorer friends picked up gt sport to experience gt

My answer comes a bit late but just in case, NO, you DON'T NEED to own the car in GT7 to transfer a GT Sport livery.

The livery will be available in GT7 as soon as you'll own the car.
Liveries can be seen in the livery editor / open a concept / search all



See the difference between GT7 liveries and GT Sport ones, waiting to be "converted".

Yes, you need to obtain the car in GT7, otherwise you can't transfer your livery. Which is probably why i'll lose my GT40 livery.

Check the livery editor, your livery is probably here waiting for you to buy the car.
If not, save and share again your livery in GT Sport (I had to do this for a certain amount of liveries which didn't come automatically to GT7 at launch).



My main concern today is the level 50...
I'm working on my races, poles and wins trophies and I think I can make it before the end of the month, but with 500xp by winning race B and being at the end of level 42, I'm pretty far from my goal, and I can't be sure we'll still be able to level up after the servers closure... 🤔

Depends on what you looking for and your preferences, ac is not flawless even on pc With mods, and ac would not be where is at without the modders, ac is good no doubt, but their is areas where other racers can be better,

Maybe not but it cost resources to keep it running, and that might be the reason why so many racing games gets delisted after 5-6 years, the licence fee is most likely payed for some time, and if it going to keep being available they might need to pay another lincening fee, witch can be better used for tracks or cars in gt7

I tried to buy GT Sport in the PS Store two weeks ago and it wasn't possible anymore. Just wishlisting.
