they (PD) said that the game is still under development
That sounds like something we've never heard before. At all. Not a single time.
I'm sorry, but as enthusiastic as I was during the GT5 and GT6 pre release time span, that short summary of the Periscope stream pulled the emergency brake of the hype train and stalled it. I'm trying to be as positive as possible, but I just can't do it anymore ...

i'm lucky, someone just gave me an Xbox One last week :)

The car article is interesting, there are quite a few ones I would agree with but generally my favourites aren't even there.

GT1 for me were about the NSX, GTO and R33 road cars with NSX-R and Impreza race cars.

GT3 was the Mugen Castrol NSX GT500, I could go on but I am at work :P

Thanks for sharing this, even if It's hardly surprising. Thanks to @Fat Tyre as well for the transcript

You're welcome. Just to be clear though, this transcript is only of the Periscope video. I have no idea where that information in Italian came from.

GT1 for me were about the NSX, GTO and R33 road cars with NSX-R and Impreza race cars.

Hear, hear! The GTO was my main car in GT1 (as well as the race modified Nissan Pulsar, oh I loved that car!), the GTO was the only one I found I could take to 1000BHP. I think the upgrades for it were changed for GT2 and couldn't produce as much power after doing a total parts upgrade.

Welp, so far the reports are a bit conflicting, so I'm calm yet, but if the sounds still suck, I'll officially stop calling myself a GT fan and play the game just like any other, without the passion from the past. We have 2016, games like DRIVECLUB, RaceRoom and Assetto Corsa show how it could be done, no excuses anymore.

EDIT: Race modified Mitsubishi GTO in GT1, 7 speed transmission included if I remember correctly, oh yeah.

Saw this on that guys snapchat...

You know, I seriously thought the Lotus 72 would make the list, in the PS3 era, no? It pretty much defined GT6 appart from GT5 entirely on its own for me...

I have a serious problem.

They were disappointed by the physics... they were driving an oval.
They were disappointed by the sound... they were driving in a loud environment experiencing the audio through a mediocre setup.

I'm not saying we're going to get a GT Sport that perfectly meets all of our magical christmas land expectations, especially when it comes to areas where GT has traditionally been somewhat lacking... but there's good reasons for not taking the Periscope reaction video to heart. Yeah maybe physics and audio won't see the massive leap we all think they need to, but it's entirely possible (probable, even) that their initial reaction was underrating any improvements PD may have made to those areas.

@Jordan Just wanted to ask, do you know if PD is going to release an uncompressed HQ HD video of the GT Sport trailer to the press today (in the press kit)? Would be a drag watching it with Youtube compression etc.

This is sad... When i'm trying to understand choices which PD makes i'm confused well i could say about everything. Physics and sounds, aren't those very important if we try to make game which want to be a simulator?

Always seen KY & PD giving love for menu musics and atleast KY have quite a lot of experience of RL racing so i would think they know how important those areas of game are for success but no we get prettiest graphics in history because of what? Is it comminity's foul too that we must have bestlooking game of all and then we get bad driving experience because putting everything together would take so much time to deliver.

I know, this is just a beta reveal and i have not been playing this game yet. As GT fan i still hope all best for this game.

Agree but i want to see somethinf with my eyes. I've read plenty of stupid things and lies over the internet. I reported just for your info. Personally however i do not expect a revolution.

I'm definitely waiting for the official streams before judging. In the past we've had the opposite, people saying things are amazing and it's turned out not to be so good so we'll have to see.

If the official stuff dies still have GT6 sound with promises of placeholder though it would be concerning since that is exactly what we were told for GT6 and they didn't change.

As I say, let's wait and see on the real deal. We will have plenty of footage to mull over.
