Anyone else being able to connect to Sports Mode without PS+? I can't connect to the lobbies because it says I need PS+ but Sports Mode simply seems to work. Haven't tried to actually enter a race but I can access all menu's and go to qualification without problems.

There is a 3rd safety car (Nissan GT-R safety car) but it is not part of the safety car pack. The pack is the AMG and BMW safety cars and the 908 HDi FAP LMP1.

I think the only way to get the Nissan safety car is via the mile exchange points (as well as the other safety cars for people that don’t have the pack).
 
It just got delivered! So close... Only need to update now! Also i thought i am getting the standard version , but i got the "Day One" edition instead even though my local shop did not have it listed at all, so that was a nice surprise! So hyped!

It's hidden. You have to win it...

by getting gold on all licenses or events, I'm not sure

This can't be anything but a GT Sport model. Why would a GT6 model be shown for a presentation like this one? I really hope this confirms the car for some future update or DLC. Hopefully the Ferrari F40 follows...

Anyway, I still don't have my copy, but I'm not complaining... my brother is:lol: I just hope that it's been posted by someone from Sony, I don't care who! Then again, the fact that someone remembered must mean that they're fair dinkum about it...

Going by what you posted , it seems that there might quite a number of fan favourites coming to GT Sport. Hopefully we'll get our muscle cars, 90's European cars and 90's JDM cars. Really missing cars from those era. Being a big Audi and VW fan, I'd like to see the MK 2 GTi and Jetta CLi (my avatar) and Corrado make an appearance. So far so good,there are a few things people don't like, but this could really turn out to be the the best Gran Turismo.

It's odd to be disappointed that you can't use a safety car as a safety car is used? I don't think it's that unusual. Particularly in a game where the justification for the small amount of content is the incredible quality of what it does have. A safety car without the ability to use the lights is significantly more boring, it's basically the road car with a roof rack and a weird livery.
 
Not being an online racer typically I was reluctant to buy GT Sport but took the plunge anyway. Absolutely loving it so far and all I've done is a few Campaign events and some time trials. The driving model is very forgiving and a lot easier than everything else I've been playing recently (PC2 and AC) which is a nice change of pace. I enjoy the challenge presented in those other games but it's also nice to be able to just go and have a fun race against the AI without messing around with settings.

I don't know if I'll put much time into online but I can see myself having a good time even in the limited offline modes and I appreciate the fantasy tracks as a nice change of pace from whats offered elsewhere.

If the lights were just there for show and weren’t on, I’d understand him being disappointed, but it’s the fact that he can’t switch them off disappoints him is kinda weird to me, I dunno.

I guess it’s because he can’t create the complete cop roleplay in those cruise lobbies.

Here's a question:I don't have PlayStation plus. How can i play in online mode or daily races without it ?I just spent 90 bucks Canadian on this beautiful looking game. So far all i can do is go into Arcade mode and do driving tests.

Just get ps+ then? Most games are centered around online multiplayer so can't understand why anyone would have a PS4 with no ps+

Or because the lights on a safety car are an important part of their functionality? God forbid that you'd want to use a safety car as a safety car in a motorsports game based around online races with real people.

I don't see why you have to assume it's a cops and robbers fantasy when there's an actual purpose that's right in the name "safety car".

Yesterday I spotted social profile area on Gran Turismo's site which appeared for about few minutes. It's no longer visible at the moment, but hopefully they will bring this feature back soon.

Didn't they say that there is a companion type app coming too? They could have just been testing it and accidentally pushed it live?

i play only few games:GT;Batman Arkham Final Fantasy. I didn't buy the PS4 for its online components. But in this GT gamer now i have to fork out another 60 bucks per year?
 
question from a GT aficionado, dealing with PS4 for the first time (bought it for GT, mostly):

will the UK GTSport Disc work with a european console? (and therefore its activation from the net)
