Hi,

last row is the hardest. Don't like dust, don't like drifting.

Lot of gift-cars on the first day. Is it ever necessary to buy one?

cheers,
D.

Basic question, I have the beta installed on my PS4 and I purchased the full game today.

Do I uninstall the beta or will the disc just install over the beta? Will I lose my beta progress?

Just started, going through Driving School right now.

Is anyone else finding the first few challenges unusually difficult? I’m on a DualShock 4 and there’s so little vibration feedback that I can’t tell when I’m spinning the wheels up or locking the brakes.

Gut-wrenching.

I've since made my peace with it, but here was the layout: Gold for all Sardegna events (loose gravel physics are just... ahem) and the prize cars were as follows: Bugatti VGT (already have one), Veyron, SLS AMG, and a Focus ST. Guess which of the four I was lucky enough to get...

I'll check that today and see if the sequence differs. :)

So I got these in the licenses:

Alfa 4C
BMW M4
GT by Citroen VGT
Mercedes AMG GT3
Dodge Charger
Toyota T050

For getting gold on all of them

Lambo Veneno (silver)
GT-R Safety Car (gold)

I'm going to do the challenges next. If you want I can tell you what I got.

I just wanna stop getting punted into and losing my DR and SR

I managed to regain my S level in the SR after two dummies punted me in other cars at Suzuka and after a demolition derby at Northern Isle which made me drop to a B...

I’m taking a break until the rammers destroy their scores :P

No, no and no.

GT Sport is a completely different thing to the GT Sport Beta. They can coexist on the console quite happily, and don't interact in any way. Any relevant progress you have in the Beta will transfer to the full game, but it reads the server-side save and not anything on your console.

Of course there’s a logical error there. But PD’s logic is more often than not counter intuitive. There’s no way of fixing the lack of tracks, other than DLC which is somewhen somewhere possibly.

Talking about tracks I loaded the circuit experience yesterday, I knew what to expect but seriously Brands hatch, Nurb, Bathurst, Interlagos, Suzuka, Willow springs. They got to drop that tag line of the real driving simulator. 65 % of tracks are fictional.
It's easily the biggest problem with the game. It's almost unbelievable they would release the game with this few real world locations. I can't begin to understand their thought process.

I wouldnt mind having the same 3 races for like 2-3 days. One day only does feel like not enough time, especially with the low number of tracks. It would make repetition of events quite frequent.

But only 3 configurations for 7 days will make the sport mode a lot less enjoyable to me. I wont be competing on the same 3 races for 7 days.

There is a flip side to that. While racing whole week people will learn tracks/cars better instead of jumping to new ones.
I just wish race start frequency was higher because it sucks to wait for the next start.

What are peoples impressions on the physics? I like how the street cars(weak and powerful) drive, the GT3/4 vehicles also drive pretty well and are fun. But, it seems the GR1 class has odd physics. The cars stick like glue and zoom through the track, doesn't feel natural, unless this reflects real life. Nevertheless is a fun and enduring experience.

Also kind of bummed at the custom wheel selection, would like to see more.

Welp. Finally bought the game, but the day one update ended my quota (or rather there is still 600 MBs left). My ISP is also having issues so I can't play the game I bought.

In other words, it's the first time I've paid for a game after putting in 30+ hours in

But it’s been designed so you can run the three races every hour. We might only have longer and more frequent races in a separate mode. A bit like the Polyphony Cup with the Mazda Roadster

Obvious answer is DLC. However, there is other thought in my mind that PD might need fresh recruits. I guess most of them are old staff even though they are experienced people, but level of creativity, aspiring ideas and how they handle things might not as good as what they were 5 or even 10 years ago. A fresh recruits however can help them to gain more new, innovative ideas and sense of creativeness. That what I was thinking for some moment btw. Could be wrong though.
