How do I get my driver rating up? I've won every race I've been in in sport mode by over 6 seconds and I could use some better competition.

Keep racing and winning (or placing well) and eventually you'll be placed in a higher class. Not sure exactly how many races it takes.

I won a bunch of races early on in the Beta and I went from D to B in 20-25 races. Now I’m pretty much higher midfield and I still have a B rating. DR is not as sensitive as SR.

As it should be. It only takes 2 or 3 races to determine your a ramming jack ass. It takes consistency at the top to prove your actually a capable driver and not getting lucky wins.

It's a huge gamble to design a console racer like GT around competitive online. The chances of this game encouraging players to drive like iRacing is slim to none. Practically no one in the early games will understand that the objective isn't to go from 10th to 1st in the first lap.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Unlucky.

I think the prize cars are very generous in this game compared to other GT's. Then again, this could serve as motivation to complete the offline events. I know you probably don't get the same satisfaction when you save money for a car, but you need to take what you can I guess.

At least there are penalties for those who quit races before the end like in PC2 so it incentivizes players to stay in the race even if they’re battling for a 15th place.

For anyone wondering. Rubber banded the Dodge Tomahawk on the small oval while i slept. Went roughly 8 hours. Did a little over 2,000 laps, and got a little over 20,000 mileage points and an extra ~250k. Friend tried the same thing but his game crashed over night.

Edit: The Dodge Tomahawk (2,500hp version) AKA the Daily Workout machine is ridiculous so be ready. The brakes are hilarious.

Hopefully those players will get weeded out over the next couple months and will go play something else.
I'm guessing Kaz would rather they learned racing etiquette and stuck around a bit.

Memories! I made millions doing this in GT5 with elastics and a can of beans on the enter button!!

I also started doing this exact same grind tonight! Nice to still have easy ways for Credits and Mileage.

My last (and first with the game) night was an Oval Endurance Race. Easy 2 million Credits for keeping the car parked for 6 hours.

Heaven and Hell!

Especially when the only prerequisite to play Sport Mode is to watch two short videos that don’t even explain how the rating system works.

Is anyone having server issues? I am connected to them and can access all game content, but after every race/mission it says that my progress won't be saved because there is a communication error.

EU servers.

I can finally start playing the game tomorrow when my Dual Shock 4 arrives from Amazon... I traded In My Black one today at GAME to get the Collectors Edition of GT Sport under the assumption that the New GT Pad would arrive today... Went to the Cinema to stop myself feeling so glum! Roll out tomorrow! Also My GT PlaySeat is arriving tomorrow so I can build It ready for when My T-GT Arrives on Friday!

Hope everyones enjoying the game and that I'm not missing out on too much!

Quick Q Regarding Race suits. Can you Unlock Official Alpinestars & Sparco suits in game?

Just had that once but 8 did reconnect and that worked. Then did a manual save and was fine too.

@marky264 I got an Alpinestars driver suit for I think level 10 or so but it looked rather dull and very white. :) I’m wearing it now but to be honest I liked the started suit more.

@Tom did a good narration job but that script could have done with a rewrite.

I like that the videos exist however; they’re not ideal but if they stop at least 1 person from “being that Mustang” then they’ve done something right.

Yeah the videos are nice, love watching them while the map loads. :)
A bit weird they didn’t embed Tom’s video with explaining all the car classes though, that was so well narrated and animated and could have been a nice introduction video for brands central.

Same here.

Nice one bud thanks for confirming. I like Puma as a brand & Alpinestars as well so I'm glad we get a choice in both.

It worked! But now there is another problem, when I am in menu it shows my actual level (21) but when I go on my profile it says that I am 19 level. I have saved the game and tried restarting it. My daily km are the same on menu ans on my profile.

Impressive. Did you complete all that since the release of the game on the 17th or some were transferred from the beta period?

Mission Challenge progress doesn't carry over. That'd be from scratch, then: it's not that hard, I'd say it's anywhere from 6–8 hours if you're a good player. I've done Stages 3 through 8 twice now; once during the review period, but my save got lost with the server downtime.

yes!!! I'm having that problem right now

Yes server down for me also! always after I finish a mission that I am not too keen on.. the server can't update and I have to do it again and again and again :D

Hurry up and fix this PD it's getting quite annoying 👎
