The AI isn't much faster than GT6 IMO, but the bigger grids can sometimes help, track depending.
As far as I know the AI can't use any custom liveries, which is a shame because
There is an event creator in GT Sport, and its not bad. You can't do multi class racing, but a good amount of settings allow you to race against cars from different classes, set up endurance races with fuel/tire wear, adjust your starting position, etc.
To be honest I wasn't expecting Pd to be smart enough to allow AI to use some user created liveries but I didn't know there is an event creator in GT Sport, where I can know more about it? Fuel, tire wear and select position at the start are important features, sounds not bad indeed.

The game needs more content ASAP. Starting to feel myself already getting bored. Driving School and Challeneges all done, circuit experience about 80%. Sport Mode races only change every week.. Mileage exchange only changes every week. Not a single car i want to buy with money.. Can't use my wheel so i'm stuck using a DS4.

Problem is too, everyone else i know who has the game is starting to feel the same way.. Everyone is already reverting back to GTA or Skyrim, 2k etc..

Not to mention has anyone seen the Amazon reviews? Yikes. It's not looking good for PD.
Try to do custom races, the AI is very good (you have to disable boost) depending on the track you drive - i mostly do just that when i play GTS. Its about 55% custom races, 15% course challenges, 15% time trials and VR and 15% online for me at the moment - add in a few race an scapes pictures.

Custom race in arcade mode, be sure to disable ,,boost“ for more competitive AI!

AI is not good imho. They are too slow and they have zero "awareness".They pretty much follow one line no matter where you are around them.

I guess if I buy a PS4 that's how I'll play the game 👍. My GT6 gameplay experience was/is 50% trackday/test/finetune my tuned cars, 10% online racing here and there, the rest is trying to most fun/competitive combinations offline in career arcade mode racing with ballast and/or less competitive tyres.

For now I have mixed feekings, the day Pd realize people will also love the option to race against all these amazing liveries I'll be really motivated to buy the game. For now even if I like the livery editor as is (there are limitations but from PD I was impressed at this "open mind" attempt) I fell it's a shame we can't go nuts and create our "carpacks" to race against offline. You know that's what pc sim racing people tends to do.

Hopefully people who play online can see liveryies from other players but I've heard of lobbies/events that ban custom liveries? Which is IMHO basically a step back on closed mind approach yet again.

But when you say you found a way way to have good AI it gives me hopes! Good job.

I have to say it depends on how you drive too, the AI can surely be beaten rather easily when you drive over aggressive, ram AI in corners etc

But when you drive fast but with caution like you would in real life the AI is pretty good for me - i took me 3 clean laps at the nurb to get from 18th to 8t place and i didnt make any disadvantages on my car!

I thought that the Hyundai GT1 car was really unrealistic, as it has an electric engine and a 6-speed gearbox.
I discovered that the Formula-E cars have a gearbox too!

Some formula E cars have one. Not all of them. It is totally unnecessary. Some drivers like to use one. It's a crutch thing for them.

Yeah, if you race rough you can beat the AI easily, when racing as irl it is formidable, especially if the lap count is low.

I’m really enjoying the game so far, the missions are fairly entertaining in campaign, a welcome distraction from the limited choice of sport races each day, i really feel they need to increase the race number to 5 daily races to give a good spread.

Back to the campaign, the missions are fairly short and sweet then wham... 30 lap endurance race... whaaaaaaat?

Only downside for me is the rallying.... it feels Terrible, I wish it was an optional side series rather than be mixed in with the standard missions etc.

Anyway

Feel free to add me on PSN for some races etc, also will be looking for a potential league in the future.

PSN - Latosius

I noticed in the dailies...well since yesterday at the Nurb GP with the Gr3 cars, there are 2 races per hour now. Not sure when they started that, it certainly would have been better to do that from the get go because it was brilliant IMO. Not as many lap per races but I'm sure having to race back to back definitely make up for it. It was kinda lame having to wait 35-45 mins to just race 10 laps.

It is better now, but there’s still some restrictions, like the huracan only race today... it left a clio race and a gr3 race in Suzuka if you didn’t have the car... if they want to do that they should add it as an extra event.

Is that Huracan only race for the Gr4 car? Cause they usually have the N race, Gr4 and Gr3 so far. I have not logged in yet so I don't know what they have for today.

Nitro and Horn function in GT Sport?

Seems to show up on the G29 settings but the moment you press X on them, they change to gear up suddenly.

Does anyone know how they score the FIA GT manufacturers series and nations series? I think I’m missing something. I saw some people finish a round with I’ve 1000 points.

@ToyGTone - Those settings for the horn and nitrous are likely just because the settings page, dialog boxes, and drop-down menus from GT6 were copied and modeled around. As for the nitro function, some cars have DRS, KERS or the ability to alter the aero (SRT Tomahawk). What function allows this?

just want to say it’s scary how much faster the Beetle is than every other Gr.3 car, BoP went out the window with that one

It’s quick yes, however, suffers heavily from tyre wear at the end of the race it seems. I was able to keep one easily covered in the Ferrari.

Another day, another daily car that I already have got. Seriously, I had the choice of 3 others that I don't own, yet I get the Genesis GR.4 that I already have. :banghead: As somebody else said, as soon as I see the prize cars, I know exactly which one I'm going to get. :boggled:

"The hate is swelling in you now."

A little disappointed in the mileage exchange update. I was hoping for different decals, but they keep putting the same set of two in. Also a little disappointed in the colors they released as there were a lot of similar ones last week
