Can u halp me please i just started the game and i cant participate in some races.cause they have bop on regulations.. i own gr4 and gr3 cars and i cant turn on the bop... can u help me ?

Can someone please explain to me the reasons for different tyre (tire) types? I understand longer races will require a harder compound due to wear but for the average race 1- 10 laps majority will just use racing soft or racing super soft.

I'm thinking of getting a PS4 or a PS4 Pro during Black Friday sales. I'm debating which model I should get. I have a 55" 4k TV with HDR (LG B6), which has good 4k upscaler already. I'm planning to only use PS4/Pro for just PS4 exclusive titles, since I have a much faster gaming PC for everything else with Oculus Rift. So my doubt is if PS4 Pro is really worth an extra 150-200 bucks for my very limited use of a console (and I'm sure PS5 is probably only 2 years away).

Does anyone have experience of comparing PS4 vs PS4 Pro on a good 4k TV? How much better do games really look, such as GTS? It seems like the improvements are there, but relatively minor for most games and the PS4 exclusives are already well optimized for base hardware. Usually the difference is in improved resolution (typically 1440p vs 1080p), but since I usually sit 7-8 feet away from the TV, I don't think 4k vs 1080p makes as much of a differences as HDR does, which the base PS4 already supports. Seems like one big improvement in GTS, other than resolution, is the unlocked replays (instead of capped to 30 on the based HW).

Would really appreciate people's feedback, especially those who have 4k TVs and have used both consoles. I'm trying to convince myself to save money and wait for PS5, while still enjoying PS4 exclusives for a reasonable price.

@FuriousDemon I have a 55" Sony X855D (4k + 10-bit HDR). I originally used it with vanilla PS4 then upgraded to PS4 Pro. You are already enjoying the best of latest display tech with the vanilla's built-in HDR. However, upscaling 1080p to 4K is NOT the same as native 4K, plus I understand the upscaler in the Pro is better than any TV barring Sony (it uses the same upscaler as my TV). While I admit that the jump from Full HD to 4K is not nearly as dramatic as the jump was from SD to HD, THERE IS A NOTICEABLE improvement. Plus you will take advantage of the extra power for more fidelity and smoother frame rate in most games. I think it's worth it, but I would definitely understand if you decided to hold out. Just think about the fact that it will probably be a couple years before we see the PS5.

GTS in 4K + HDR is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen on a TV screen.

You are only looking at $100.00 difference in the pro versus standard ps4. With a 4k tv and the extra computing power for resolution and implementing HDR I would not even consider going non pro.

Daily marathon reward is a good idea but instead of a likely duplicate car. They could:
-let us chose between the car and a certain amont of money;
-offer more paint chips, rims or driver pose instead of a car.

If the game had a larger selection of cars I would LOVE for them to do something like choosing between say 3 cars as your reward... given the number of variations however, this too would quickly just end in duplicates :indiff:

I've been wasting my day looking at vintage liveries...

how hard would it be to do this old Camel livery on a Porsche?

Are these new official decals? Or the decal uploader is available already? Anyone knew about this? :

That to me looks like the decal uploader as all those decals have a shared/uploaded symbol on them in the right corner. I have a suspicion that it's already live/testing in Japan for certain people.

Decal Uploader is already available now for a limited number of people. Will probably also be a random draw across the regions.

Okay, thanks! It will be nice to see what some people would create in 24 hours with the addition of decal uploader.

I would like to ask a couple of questions related to AI, livery editor and if there's a way to make good use of ingame content, expecially offline. I left gaming for a while but now I (sort of) came back into GT6 and I'm considering a PS4 with GT Sport.
Is AI faster than GT6 in career mode?
Is there a way to allow AI to use user created liveries?
Does some sort of event creator exist in GT Sport?

If I'm asking obvious stuff bear with me. Cheers.

Yay, it's alive! Well, sort of. Great thing that we can use what other people have uploaded and use them on our cars! We need a logo request thread now.
What is also cool is that you can change the color the decal itself when you apply it in the livery editor. Example: So if the Posrche text is black, when you apply it you can change to whatever color you desire.
