Sport mode needs 24 players, or else whatever position you start in you're likely staying in it the whole race. There need to be an option for no tuning, as those qualifying in the top 5-8 have a tune that gives shaves several seconds off lap time. They are not better drivers than D or C drivers, they have a good tune and better pedals and better car(usually using best car in class). No one seems to play for fun or the challenge, everyone trying to dive-bomb and cut corners. Gr.3 is funner but many dirty that can ruin a 10 lap endurance race.

All available races atm and during the past week were fixed settings.

Does anyone else here play this game on 2 consoles?

I’ve recently been playing this on both my home network (evenings) and at work (lunchtime) and have noticed that my save file would often “fall behind” on a particular console. The worst case was about a week ago where I lost a full set of Mission Challenge progress.

After every session I save the game manually from the main menu, and since it’s an online save it should be synced up in theory.

Anyone got advice on making sure that my save is always updated no matter where I play?

I have two consoles, one in my office, another at my rig, I have lost progress even after saving & waiting awhile to open the game on another system.
Aside, the game seems to save replays & livery's, since I can only open up these on the system I was using at the time.

One of the downsides of any SR system is that you can "bank" incidents. If you've had positive SR a whole race you can afford an incident or two on the last lap with no effect on your overall SR. The more devious racers will take advantage of this.

I’ll only take advantage of it if someone punts me repeatedly. I’ll just throw in a more aggressive pass to take back the position without an overall SR hit. I had to have a chat with a kamikaze with a A/S rating. He kept hitting everyone and closing the door on cars that were totally entitled to being on the inside (over half a car’s length.) I just dived in at the last corner and I got by him. Still got a blue SR despite the orange SR indicator. It’s hard not to be pissed off by lunatics thinking they are still in time trial mode where they have all the track for themselves.

Lost it today totally. Everytime i get my DR up , one bad race and it goes down. Screw it now. Won't touch this game for sometime now.

I read somewhere that you can have one bad race every 3-4 races without hindering your progress. It’s relatively sensitive to subpar performances but it’s not a reason to give up. You’ll get it up gradually.

I’m currently doing the Gr.3 Daily Race and I notice that the game is uploading something after every Qualifying session, for about 15 seconds.

Could the game now be uploading your best lap Replays?

So I just did a Time Trial on the oval with the Chevy Chaparral Vision, car dies after 48 laps, guess the pulse wave engine doesn't last too long.

Porsche 911 RSR + Dragon Tail II is a great combination; that double chicane is almost flat

I also got promoted to SR:A after this :D

Congratulations, was it your first Pole/FLap/Win? And I guess you meant DR? If so, welcome to the club! I’ll never get S and A is more than I ever expected.

I had a few grand slams when I started, but this is my first in a while. I’m a B/A now.

I’m quite quick in Forza titles (if that game had ratings I’d be close to an S/S) but Gran Turismo has always been tricker for me as the controllers don’t provide as much feedback.

Managed to set some 1:40s today while the Top 10 were in the 39s and under. I’ve been about 4 seconds off the pace recently so this car/track combo was a welcome sight.

In Time Trial? That's weird, there's no fuel usage in that mode...

Few weeks have past and I still like and enjoy playing GTS. However, there are moments when I caught myself choosing to play something else. Which it just shouldn’t be. GTS is a too recent game for a fan to be bored of it.

I still want 100% the game, and do my hotlaps offline and buy everything ingame, but I also do see and feel the lack of content. And that puts me down.

I hope GTS gets its better form as the time passes by, just Driveclub did after a terrible start.

That 911 GT3 RS on Maggiore was a nightmare.... with a DS4.

With TC1, the oversteer is on half the racetrack too hard to contain, because of the DS4 trigger not precise enough. With TC2 you feel like you lose 1 second at every corner exit, the engine stalls endlessly, I haven't tried TC3/TC4/TC5 but it must be glorious. So during the race I was constantly switching these, and it's not even satisfying.

I claimed the 18th place on that race (was 12th when I went a bit far in a corner and another guy helped me going in the sand) right after an astononishing race on Alsace reversed when I finished 5th after starting 13th (one poor lap of qualifying) and got the 5th place at the last corner.

The GT3 RS is a beast, really fun to drive (drift would suit better), but to be driven perfectly it requires precision in the throttle that the game just does not give at the moment to the DS4. But really I think it's all about re-calibrating the traction control to fix it. Please PD, fix this!

Try motion control! It gives great countersteer, and very easy to hold 5 or 10% angle

Motion control is good, but personally I prefer using the toggles.
I used TC1 and Front BB -3 as it allowed for less twitchiness under braking. It was all about brake, point and drive, braking or accelerating while turning was just asking for trouble, just need to be smooth. I ended up finishing 4th in a tough lobby with a few people who were 2 seconds faster than everyone else.

Of course they will because they are stupid. I don't try to create dumb accidents but encouraging others to do so without consequence is bad for the good racers. And the reputation of the game...

There's a downloadable car on the Japanese PSN, exclusive to plus members.

Thing is, it's a car that's already easily available in the game (Audi Quattro Pikes Peak version). As far as I can tell there's nothing unique about it.

Weird.
