My DR just keeps taking a beating due to people gaming the SR system. I was a big proponent of it as it is based on averages and should work but I am getting pushed all over the track by SR "S" rated drivers who then cause my Dr to go down. Problem is I just can't make myself drive dirty and push back because that's not the way I race. It's a real catch 22 because I can't rise in the DR rating to get above it.

I'll never be a "S" dr racer and probably never even an " A" but as it is I can't even get out of ****ing "D".

Try your hand at the FIA races.

I was a C/C on Friday but a few rough Daily races put me down to C/E. After a single (clean) FIA race I ended up at B/B.

I play BF1 but there isn't such setup there so i had to switch to L1 R1 but yeah that could help but over time it gets even worse! On my older ds4 the trigger doesn't work at all!
Sorry for off topic picture guys. And also for picture quality. There is the option to set it under Settings>Controls>Advanced(third tab as you can see in screenshot).
I've been playing BF1 since it's launch and when that game launched there was no option. They added this option to the game several months ago with an update and I've set mine to 30% for both R2 and L2. So just a little touch to both triggers registers full touch. If you didn't see this option in Bf1 yet, you will thank me when you try it :P

It sounds like a positive attribute to the system to get your SR up so quickly but it's actually a detriment. What it means to dirty drivers is, I can run a bunch of dirty races and do well, then just toddle around for a couple of races and be right back where I started.

I'll try that, gonna do my first one tonight. Had a busy weekend so I didn't get to them before today.

I 100% agree.Be a little "reckless" to get wins for you DR rating, then "behave" a little with "mid table finish" and get your SR rating up.
Its easy to gain DR and even more easy to gain SR ratings with this tactic. And that is a system problem and not a player's problem.
"Hate the game and not the player" I think.

What might help a little is separating the SR in championship races from regular races. If you can simply go from the races that really count to those that don't, to bring your rating back up, some people are going to game that system. Maybe you enter the championship races with your current SR and it breaks off from your daily race SR and it only goes up and down based on your championship experience People might be more careful because there's no chance to make it up other than in the next championship race which you can only run once.

My understanding is that the SR rating is the "how clean or lack of contact or off road exersion" factors of the the rating system.

I understand that the DR rating is the "how fast or low of a lap time you are able to post as a general practice compared to the majority of drivers within your region.

I can understand wanting to be among faster drivers as they generally SHOULD BE be "racers less inclined to be involved multiple contact violations or being faster should be more in control of using a reasonable acceptable racing line exhibiting fewer mistakes.

The part I do not understand and I am a lower ranked driver as well in the DR department with a high SR rating is why would someone want to move up to an even higher DR bracket to be racing among drivers that will be turning faster laps and my pace at this point does not have me winning or always finishing near the top of the competition I race now in my current DR rating bracket?

Most online races I enter are mainly all SR rated drivers S "which is supposed to be the clean racing part" and the DR ratings are usually an assortment of b, c and d ranked drivers with a few "a" rankings thrown in here and there so the races still will have all ranks usually represented.

When it comes down to where your grid position is located it will still come down to the lap time posted and the higher a drivers DR rating the more likely to be racing with more drivers withing your ranking class but your lap time will still be the same it was before your "promotion" and you will always be guaranteed a towards the rear starting position.

I think the best solution is to get fast enough to stay ahead of the carnage within the DR bracket where you realistically fit and this is why there are different DR brackets to begin with. To as close as possible match drivers with similar skills to be racing together for the most part.

Absolutely that is ideal. However, I would like to see some of these things work as good in practice as they sound on paper.

I know, but the thing is when you just have one or two hours a night to compete and they switch tracks every day you end up last all the time. The other and more important part was the tuning, extremely fun and interesting but now its gone...
I also work and still don’t come in last. You’ve had plenty of time to get familiar with the track list and cars.

The custom million Endurance race must have been patched.
I set an 8 hour endurance in Nurburg 24h as a N.100 Mazda vs a Gr.1 Tomahawk for some serious millions of Cr. and XP.
Now, after 8 hours I just did 1 lap to finsh and claim my 78k Cr...
Maybe because it was an exploit that wasn’t intended on being used that way. Especially with an online game such as this. For single player than by all means ruin the experience for yourself but not in online play.

The IsoRivolta Zagato Vision Gran Turismo will be there and maybe something else and some fixes.

Holy triple post Batman!

Pro tip. If you want to reply to multiple people hit the '+Quote' button on all the replies you want to quote and then use 'Insert Quotes' at the bottom of the page to insert them in a new post. Saves making three posts and annoying the mods ;)

Thanks a lot man :) i've never seen it!

Random question, but does anyone know how to get more racing suits? So far I've just got 3, two Puma, and an Alpinestars.

Are there more in the game? How do you unlock them?

Just realized..

Matching in Sport Mode is too wide spread. If i manage to qualify / reach top5 its rather easy to finish the race there, but if i drop to 10-15 its near impossible to recover due to dirty/ erratic drivers. Have to work my way to sr/A and hope this ends..

I'm currently DR D and SR A, I was getting dubious about how long an increase to SR was taking, but finally got my A after my Manufacturers race last night - it seems longer races can contribute more green SR, therefore get your increases quicker? Do you think the same applies to DR? A longer race with the same people will get a higher increase in DR?

Stay the distance imho, play as you know is right...I was getting doubts but then once every so often an amzing race pops up, or something unexpected like qualifying pole. This more than makes up for the other races that get you down - hard to wipe that smile off after an awesome fight and win, or even just a nice clean race! Having said that, my first race win was a little underwhelming, got adrenaline pumping for most of the race, though I qualified first and stayed there the whole race, the first few corners were terrifying!

I have been placing bang on half way for most races, against a race full of DR D SR B, so no reasons for the matching system to move me anywhere, though i am racing faster, and wiping out and losing what i gained. I know I can get a bit better, might get to C, not sure I'll ever be a DR B! My DR progress is going up and down, though the down does mainly seem attributable to getting punted etc. Staying clean and patient is probably how I will get my rating up.

It sure looks wild enough to be one, but it's a project with MIT. CLICK

My first impression is what happens in a crash! You look very vulnerable!

Also, those brake lights look like a monster in the dark!

Is it possible to turn off driver name/flags over the cars in online mode?

I can turn them off in offline but but not online, have I missed something?

Towards the end of my Nations Cup race, I missed my braking point and went a little into the sand, after that, the whole rest of the race felt like I was on Comfort tires. Can anyone explain why? If the tires got dirty, surly it wouldn’t last a whole two laps?
