just want to say it’s scary how much faster the Beetle is than every other Gr.3 car, BoP went out the window with that one

I've been racing one for the last couple of days and I was really surprised to see how stable it was compared to other Gr3 cars. If you can manage how fast it destroys the tires, it really is quite quick though I think some of the other cars are faster in straight line speed.

Any tips on how to complete Stage 6 - Mission 8 at Lake Maggiore? I tried to do it twice and ended up in 2nd place.

Yet I always end up in second place right at the end, I tried to pit in different times with different fuel mixture and tyres.

I dont know what you're doing but with like 3 laps to go i had between 20-30 second lead on 2nd place. They were close and then they all pitted with a few laps to go and im like "pffff guess i can coast to finish." What is your total finishing time? Mine was 1:03.xx

Mine was around 1:02.xx-1:04.xx or something like that, a Ferrari 458 GT3, BMW M6 or Lambo tend to get closer and closer around the final few laps.

Am i the only on thats not liking that the daily races are 1 a hour when there are FIA races?

Came back from a long day work ant i could race 21:30 and the next races starten at 22:30...... and when you cant race there i not much to do.

No you are not the only one. I mainly race in the lower class but that is also down to 2 an hour. Normally when you finish one, entry is open for the next. Now you have to wait 20 minutes just for entry to open, then 15 minutes to actually race. It really messes with my play time.

Well ilke other people said without crashing you can easily take the gold. My event time was like 1.02.xxx and 2nd AI was 49 seconds behind me by the time I finished. What I did was, I changed my tires always in pit stops (hard tires) and full the gas tank every time. My pits were at the end of 6,12,18,24. In the last pit at the end of lap 24, after fulling the tank all the way you can do 6,x laps with it which is enough. (And you don't need to be gentle on throttle to save gas if you full the tank in all pit stops).

This was a pretty cool little 3-way battle I was having with 2 other clean and respectful racers. I stayed patient for a couple if laps and took my opportunity when I had a run on them both and was clearly faster. The pass happens at 1:35 in the video and I feel like this was a good pass even possible in real life racing. I feel like this was a "rubbing is racing" moment not me crashing in to them. I really think that pass was fair game, what do you guys think? Pretty exhilirating moment, imo :)

3 wide is a little bat ****, but you guys narrowed out heading into the turn so clearly it worked out and the faster guy made it to the apex.

I have found the "split the middle of the 2 guys bumping" to be a very effective strategy in this game. :)

"No harm,no faul" I would say,but its not just "rubbing".

Depends on the situation. If there is no space to start with then.....

You didn't knock anyone off but that was a bit over the top really, you shouldn't be forcing your way past like that as usually it'll end up with a worse outcome than what happened. It wasn't even necessary either, you could have slotted in behind the Ferrari and got him down the long straight easily, if not before that if he went wide before or during the final corner.

Set fuel mode to a setting that will allow you to complete 10 laps (probably map 4) and then pit after laps 10 & 20. You should be able to use RH or RM, if I recall correctly.

Hmmm, curious question for you all: What's the best Group 3 car in the game so far?

There’s not only one car but some are very well suited for certain tracks. The Beetle, the 911 RSR, the VW VGT (ovals) and the 650S are widely used. The 4C loves corners. It depends on the circuit and driver preference. They are more similar than Gr.4 cars though (No FF/AWD). Maybe someone else has a simpler answer but look at top 10 times and try their cars.

So it's just a personal preference thing. Well, I might buy an AMG GT3 in tribute to Hatsune Miku (mainly because GoodSmile Racing won the GT300 driver's title in Super GT recently).

Not really. There’s no one size fits all car. At the same time, you can gain significant time by picking the right car if it suits your style.

The AMG GT eats it’s tires quickly from what I’ve experienced racing it at Dragon Trail. It loses speed during quick changes of direction and bounces on high kerbs. It has great acceleration and stability. If you’re not too limited in terms of credits, look at the leaderboards and try these cars. To get the best idea, make sure you ebable the BoP in arcade mode so your results coincide with what you’ll experience in sport mode.

Last time I checked, I believe I had enough to buy two Group 3 cars if I felt like it, so next time I hop on, I'll see what's what.

This morning I was playing around with using the Cockpit cam instead of the Bumper cam and I realized my brain was still using the suggested gear indicator as a crutch. Even though I was not normally going down as many gears as it said, the visual was still there.

With my wheel close to my TV, I cannot see the suggested gear when in cockpit mode. It is one of the items the wheel rim & my hands cover.

We were able to turn this thing off in GT6 correct? Hoping they allow us to turn it off in GTS soon. I like having some of the items in the HUD like the radar items and RPM lights.
