I am curious, can you provide evidence of this fact?
I went and bought a new Dodge SRT Tomahawk X VGT (in black) to compare.

As you probably know, you cannot adjust power levels of the Tomahawk X VGT.

Yes, the milage is huge, but it still proves the fact that power output decrease over time when more miles are added to the car.

I apologize that the quality isn't the greatest, but it was done quickly with a phone camera.

I hate how PD can't "get" the muscle cars right, the 180 km/h top speed of both the Challenger and Mustang Mach1 are downright pathetic!

And why the hell they STILL think these muscle cars have rev limiters?

It completely makes these cars not viable for any kind of race that are not one-make races, unless you tune them and ruin the sound with that straight cut transmission
(I'm aware we can mute the transmission sound, but its still stupid)
No, I was reaching 200kph easily in the One Maker race. If I remember right, you shift into 5th right at 200.

Hi all,
new to the forum here, not sure if this is the right spot for this post and the topic may have already been covered but im having a few teething issues with bass shakers i recently added to my set up, should i start a new thread? cheers

Yes, I would suggest starting a new thread :)

Welcome mate!

Because that's a tuned version with custom transmission, the stock car can only reach 180km/h in the game before the rev limiter comes in to ruin your pace.

The real deal could get up to 210km/h and had no rev limiter ********, from the factory, with 4 gears.

I haven't bought, won or driven the Alfa 4C Gr.4. Is like the Elise RM in GT6? When i do custom races, the AI just pull away from it on the straights. As i'm passing it, i think, "Poor little Alfa.", However, it looks awesome and appears to handle nicely.

When I see the 4c its usually spinning out in a corner.

This is what I like about the AI here... it makes mistakes, it feels more human than the competition. At the other end I'm having great fights in N600 class cars against the GR4 type cars.

I came late into GTS as I knew it would be a situation where they would have major updates that added a heap of features literally months down the pipe... just like GT6. And who remembers GT5 Spec 2.0?

But really, this thing cost me $25 usd and its much better overall than the $50 I spent on Forza 7.

I know the 177 cars isnt near the 700 or even the 1,100 of previous games but I feel they really did something special with GTS... it feels like Gran Turismo. I feels like what my bloody 2014 spec PS4 was made for... it only took 4yrs to get the software for it.

And its still has shades of GT5. Didnt that also come out 4 yrs late?

Now I keep hearing the menu music during the day. Help me.

What a great game. I feel this game is great as how poor Forza 7 is.

GTS can only get better as more updates or "free DLC" come in. Forza 7 seems to have stalled.

^ I haven't touched AC in the past days and I used to play it daily since August 2016. There are a few things that annoy me a bit (mainly the low-res cockpit shadows and the lack of an option to turn the dash lights on), but I'm overall happy with GT S so far. There's something oddly satisfying, almost relaxing, about the smooth drivers animations...something that I've always struggled with while playing AC with a pad.
Speaking of content and features, I hope we will see more and more in the upcoming months.. the experience will only get better if PD keeps working on it.

Yes. I agree about the driver's aniumations. Especially holding the line while turning. One thing I've always mentioned is, GT is too smooth. There are some bumps on the road surface, but sometimes not enough to feel like i'm connected to the track. I will say in the same breath, the fast esses and sweepers and hard braking points after fast corners(in the fictional tracks), are welcome. The game hasn't put me to sleep like GT6. :sly:

Only just noticed in Pic 2 & 4 that it says year: 2035!! Do all VGT's have a year in the future??

I used my free gifted std. 1,006 hp Tomahawk with a 380km/h final drive on some league races and this thing seems to want to power slide in 4th even though its 4wd.

I am a dummy who loves TC-0 though.

A funny thing... a mate of mine got GTS and he knows I like watches so he asked me about the TAG Heuer stuff and I couldnt intelligently comment on it.

I thought there was going to be a Heuer car (like the missing Nike shoes car in GT6) and I thought there would be a Lewis Hamilton designed car.

Not sure what to make of these kinds of side promotions...

Tag Heuer is in it because it only because its the 'official' timekeeper of the Game.

As for the LH stuff, I guess its kinda like the Vettel and Loeb stuff from previous games its simply a partnership to get a big Motorsport name into the game - We may end up with the AMG Project One as part of the LH partnership given he apparently helped to design it!!

I don't know about Vettel or Seb Loeb, since I didn't play GT5/6, but Kaz said there could be more content involving Lewis H in the future.

After the brilliant Ayrton Senna themed add-on for GT6, which had us wrestling an unruly Lotus 98T around Brands Hatch, will we be getting playable Hamilton-centric additions to GT Sport? “I think the relationship with Lewis Hamilton is going to continue and it’s going to be a very good one, so I think you can look forward to more content involving him in the future” Yamauchi revealed. “And in the same respect, we actually have a very good relationship still with the Ayrton Senna Institute so it’s possible that in the future you might be seeing more content regarding him as well.” (Link)

Content could simply mean video though!!

I'd forgotten about Ayrton!!

It just occurred to me that the BMW M2 is basically the realife, streetcar equivalent to the BMW VGT.

Yep. The VGT is essentially a full blown, silloutte-style racing version of the M2. I imagine it would be quite doable in real life, just get a DTM chassis and drape that bodywork around it.

GT on Twitter is a little bit too edgy for me... I've just noticed something: Kaz never RT the GT account and vice versa.

That seems to be the least edgy Tweet they've put out in sometime.

Been rockin' through the single player in this game, and planning on 100% for it. I already finished Forza 7 campaign. So, I have always preferred Forza over GT, though I have only had GT5 (which I played a ton). I have played Forza 1 through 7. I thought Forza 1 through 7 were all better than GT5 by quite a margin IMO.

But I have to say, GT Sport has me sold. I don't have the time or energy to get good enough to play online, so I will do campaign and arcade and I will be content. This is by far (between those two games) the best of the best. I love PC2 and I loved Race Pro 07, and I have Assetto Corsa as well. But there is something about GT Sport that just keeps me coming back for me.

I totally despise off road racing, but GT Sport actually makes it tolerable and it's only a tiny part of the campaign. Granted, I still don't like it, but I dislike it a lot less than I have because of the accessibility of it in this game. I just butterfly the triggers and attempt to drift and short cut around the trail to get around, and get it over with and it feels good and fun.

GT Sport still has flaws, but it really is my newest favorite racer. Project Cars 2 has a career losing save issue, so I have taken a break from that. I am glad I did so that I had more time with GT Sport.

From your personal experience with the controls and driving physics, what are the biggest differences between PC2 and GTSport?
