meh. This game feels dead.
I used it for a similar purpose: showing two angles of the same car. It's an easy way to bypass the car limit, so that's what I did for my livery design store:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/slipstore-gts.370404/

Not claiming I discovered it — I have no idea if it was mentioned around here before that — but it's a very handy workaround I hope is never patched.

That trick was discovered during the launch weak . I made composit shots using it ( along with share factory ) before we got any DLC . If I recal I read it in a huge PlayStation community called Beta Testers VIP .

Meant to do this the other day, when the discussion was fresh, but anyway. Here's the GTR Safety Car 3 times in one pic.

Finally had chance to do the ‘Le Mans’ endurance race in the ‘career’ mode section...

...Jesus what a bore fest that was... drove like garbage, still managed to have a pit stop over the guy in 2nd by the halfway point... that’s some 30+ seconds gap in the Audi R18... you can’t even artificially try and create fun battles with the AI because they are so bad...

I’m still unsure the point, there is no strategy required, no skill... just do laps in full power on hard tyres and pit before you run out of fuel and you’ll win ezpz...

...it is not easy for some, but for me, it was like fun to play with 908 with reduced hp to 490 and stock 930kg on hards... lulz

Idk if it’s not easy for some then maybe it should be the tutorial for Sport mode? I’m only DR-B, like I’m trash online... but the single player stuff is comically easy

You're "supposed" to use an underpowered car to make the races more difficult and the payout higher. But it gives you no indication (such as a PP system) what to aim for.

I'm not gonna restart these races 3-4 times each, trying to figure out how much to detune my car. Plus, you get nothing for doing GT league. No prize cars, no achievements, not even a completion %.

GT League is the afterthought of afterthoughts.

Do th power deficit bonuses work with race cars? It works on N-class because the game knows that you're in a different class compared to the others, but whatabout Gr? If it doesn't detect power deficit there's no point in playing it at all :/

Quick question guys, hope someone has an answer to it..
I bought GT Sport disc copy last year, I live in an EU territory. Recently saw on the Indonesian PSN store (dont live in this territory but it has the cheapest games, thats why I made an account for it) that has an english version of GT Sport for dirt cheap. I mean cheaper than any other store. So bought it in hopes my save game would download from PD's servers... IT DID! Every thing works perfectly. my only gripe however... is navigating the menus using circle and not X for selection. Basically the opposite of what we use.
So, any way to change that?

I generally do and the Audi isn’t as fast as the Porsche so I though, with the long straights it might be more of a challenge... but nope... braking after corner exit on the entry to the first straight means the AI cars are slow... even in a straight line.

The more I think about it the more this whole game seems like an after thought. Sport mode, is just that, a small mode... yet the whole game was named after it and supposedly based around that mode... yet nothing else supports it and the mechanics in Sport mode don’t exist anywhere else (SR&DR). The single player stuff can’t even be classed as ‘offline’ because you can’t save without being connected.

You can re-assign the PS4 controller buttons.
So I guess, provided you don't use Circle or X to race, that might do the trick.

XMB > Settings > Accessibility > Button Assignments

Yesterday was crap for me. Feeling horrible, my desktop drive C ate itself (or BitDefender did,) and I couldn't drive to save my ass. I did just enough to get my daily workout car and didn't even race in the dailies.

Today so far is going much better. I've reinstalled Win10 from scratch, went back to Avast, and I feel like my driving is back to normal. My very first race of the day marks my 70th win and I think I did well for myself.

So, Le Mans commentators are saying GTLM Headlights are no longer yellow. They don't know why, but may be due to the white lights shining clearer than the yellow lights. I like the yellow light option in LE. Now, to be more real to life, I'll have to switch back to white.

Even though we had yellow light covers on cars since GT3(the C5. R was one) GT4P/4(Honda Integra TC) and in GT6(the blue C7 GT concept). This is an option PD we're late to bring to the game. It's now an outdated feature.

The GT4 cars in British GT do have yellow headlight covers (and so does the GT300 cars in Super GT, from what i've seen)

After the end of the Pre-Season in May, the 'FIA Gran Turismo Championship' 2018 Series will finally begin on 20 June.

There will be 2 Championships in 2018: the Nations Cup and the Manufacturer Series. Both will start their online phase with Season 1 in June, continuing with Season 2 in July and concluding August-September with a Final Season that will determine the players who will advance to the Live Events, where all the top players from the fierce online races will gather for a chance to advance to the World Final and ultimately be crowned "Champion".

We will distribute Live Reports throughout the competitions so top players and fans alike will be able to revel in the same excitement.

For more details on the Championships, please refer to the “FIA Gran Turismo Championship Overview" related link below.

Surprised to see this video showed up today :

I think Kaz should consider himself became motoring presenter. Would be nice to see him in Best Motoring or similiar show like that.

And there is also this :

Looks like GT Academy have a new name. And if you succeed there is chance to visit Nismo Festival! :embarrassed: Pretty cool isn't it?

Wouldn't be great if We could drive on the Autobahn in GTS? :D Just to recreate that video! Just dreaming...

None of the games so far offered a good recreation of Autobahn.

:crazy::crazy::crazy:

Very nice !!

Hello everyone,
I’m used to drive with the Gr3 Renault RS 01 and somes weeks ago I noticed the car slides for no reason at low speed in the pins, sharp turn, U turn (I don’t know the correct word in English) with Soft tires. For example on Maggiore or Suzuka. While with hard tires it hangs much more, no sudden slip. And this from the first lap without tire wear activated of course. Which should logically be the opposite.
Do you noticed the same thing?
I hope it is the correct place to post this.
Thank you.

Update is out.

200MB update during tonight's server maintenance. The PS4 is currently copying the update file before starting.. so we'll see what they changed in a little bit.

Edit

Have to wait til maintenance is over.

Yeah, the Suzuka hairpin in the RS 01 has been an issue for a long time. I thought it also occurred with the Racing Hard tires, but haven't used it in a long time. It was discussed on another thread, but through all the arguments, I don't think anyone came up with a conclusive reason why. Another strange thing was that it didn't seem to happen to everyone, not sure if it was driving style, settings or a bug.

Thank you DriftMethod for your answer.
I found the thread you're talking about, and you've summarized the problem very well.
Thank you very much for your help.
Here is the link of the thread for those who are interested.

I wonder if Kaz is one of the most successful game developers of all time, the guy owns a mercedes GT-S and he has all these deals with car manufacturers that lets him drive a brand new GT-R for a weekend

Can anyone remember the car used for the cover on GT1?
Have most of the cover cars been Kaz's personal cars?
I figure the Acura CL Type-S probably wasn't. As that was a North American model. However, the S2000, Porsche, Ford GT, Stingray(not too sure if he owns one, but I remember he did drive one at Willow Springs), SLS(?) and now the AMG GT.
