Hopefully. I mean Kaz did say that all of the cars currently in GT Sport are “Future Proof”. I don’t know about the tracks tho, but I guess so as well...
The tracks are also future proofed with 8k textures hidden.

Cars, no problem, they look gorgeous on a huge 8k screen but tracks...The tracks are also future proofed with 8k textures hidden.
That's what I notice about tracks too. They're very inconsistent. Real life tracks like Monza, Nurburgring, circuit de la Sarthe looks fantastic but original tracks like Dragon trail have poor environment details.Cars, no problem, they look gorgeous on a huge 8k screen but tracks...

Some of them looks very poor and empty like Alsace and Sainte-Croix.
Ultimately PD do as Sony says. Obviously it’s a partnership and Kaz is now one of the higher up’s in SCI itself. But no one can tell me PD revealed GTS at the optimum time. It looked rough and had a further year delay. Even then content was slim hence the plentiful updates. But needs must and Sony wanted it out mid-gen.Don't think Sony have any say in that,PD work at their own pace, they do what they want when they want, they took a major risk with GTS abandoning lots of things that made the franchise popular, the game was delayed and it released when it was ready,Sony might want a sim racer early next gen but PD has the final word. And looking at the Monaco event last year i think Sony is happy with the things GTS is doing for Esports, they are happy PD keeps working on it.
We’ve seen a noticeable upping in quality of real world tracks in post release updates. Again this points to a rushed initial release and corners being cut to hit 60fps. As development progressed they’ve obviously been able to up detail and general texture quality while maintaining performance.Cars, no problem, they look gorgeous on a huge 8k screen but tracks...

This looks nex gen for me (even HDMI 2.1 doesn't support 8k/120fps. )Next-gen one of the biggest jumps will be bandwidth for native 4K and 4K textures. Something that can be applied to existing cars and tracks. The CPU bump will help with improved physics, grid numbers, and environmental details like weather effects.
They could have put that green one in the game.It is said that the 330 P4 in game is based on CN.0900, one of the replicas.
330 P4 CN.0856, which got the 2016 GT Trophy, originally had closed-body.
But it seems to had been converted into spyder before an entry of BOAC 500 Brands Hatch race.

When GT5 was coming out and these cars (Mark IV, XJ13 and 330P4) were added to the franchise for the first time PD made a big deal about how it would be exactly like 1967 LeMans even though the oldest LM in GT5 was the 2005 variant from GT4. So they gave the 330P4 the livery used by the most successful car at the 1967 LeMans 24 Hour race to reflect that classic LeMans theme, the Ford Mark IV as another example is based on the car AJ Foyt and Co. used to win the race outright, complete with the roof bubble on the driver's side to accomodate the tall man. They could have put that green one in the game.
Yeah it’s been strangely long that they haven’t add them to the game... they are both premiums and old muscle cars have a strong representation in GTS...You know, GT350 is fun and all but I wonder when we'll see the return of the Camaro Z/28 and the AAR Cuda.
This is not ‘necessarily’ about GT7. But it comes from ZhugeEX who is an industry analyst. He confirms there are a couple of unannounced PS4/PS5 cross-gen titles from existing IP’s. There’s a possibility Sony may make them PS5 exclusive.
“2019 will be another solid year for the platform due to the large install base, growing network sales, strong third party software, first party software and back catalog. Lineup for the first half of the year is set but second half is still in flux. Sony also has a couple of unannounced games (already existing IP) with PS4 in mind but I'm conscious that there have been discussions around making them cross gen/next gen titles. In general, most of the focus for Sony 1P is on PS5 right now. It is still early to talk about next gen but I imagine we'll hear some whispers come out of GDC.”
“PS5 dev kits are out there and I've heard positive things about it. But I wouldn't expect any information in the immediate future.”
PD is Sony. They’re one of their premier studios, particularly on the tech side. PS5 will very likely be revealed this year and launched in 2020.Whatever Sony is cooking for the PS5 PD is not part of it,i see lots of people predicting that a new GT will come as a launch exclusive for next gen and they couldn't be more wrong,PD will carry GTS till this gen ends, now after that anything could happen.

Sony’s development focus has already largely switched to next-gen. They will still support existing titles with DLC, and of course release already announced PS4 titles. But even those later gen PS4 titles will be cross-gen with PS5. Meaning extra development resources will go into them to maximise PS5 beyond regular backwards compatibility.
I agree. If the PS5 is released in 2020, the next Gran Turismo will probably be shown in 2020 but, will most likely be released in 2023 or so. PD LOVES to take their time in things and it really shows. Every car in GTS looks immaculate and perfect... well not 100% but it’s really really close...PD is not big enough to work on 2 games at the same time, even if the full support GTS has got stopped this year there wouldn't be enough time for them to develop a whole new game to release on PS5 launch.Unless you want to bring back the whole Prologue/Full game release schedule.
Best case scenario a GT game is announced at the PS5 reveal event but it's not going to release with the PS5

This looks like the track with all the high quality textures running, basically the future proofed version Kaz talked about, but it's still using the base GTS game,in a future GT game i see PD improving the tracks even more, putting more details maybe new models for the trees and etcetera.
They could come in the next update. You know, GT350 is fun and all but I wonder when we'll see the return of the Camaro Z/28 and the AAR Cuda.
Might be a stupid observation, but with the amount of real adverts in GTSPORTS fictional circuit, is it possible that this is how PD would be getting sponsorship money? Through in track advertising?
People actually believe Kaz's future proof talk, as if the past taught them nothing.
I’m interested in learning how PD creates original tracks and original physical characteristics of those tracks. There’s terabytes of data collected from laser scans of real tracks. Amazing accuracy and huge amounts of data. Whereas an original, they have to make up this data or copy real data onto an original creation.Ultimately PD do as Sony says. I liked the Daiki Kasho rock from GT6 (All my Life) and GT5 Spec 2.0 (Soul on Display), but I also liked Moon Over the Castle. I hope they remake the intro to showcase all of the new cars and tracks they added with the updates. They should do something similar with what they do with the Update Trailers because the music choice and the video presentation is awesome!I like GT S opening songs(love the piano part, the jurassic park theme not so much),but i still miss Moon Over the Castle.Hope Kaz brings it back for next GT.
The Shelby GT350 is a very fun cornering machine indeed. Its handling is the reason why I enjoyed it more than any other car released in the January update. You know, GT350 is fun and all but I wonder when we'll see the return of the Camaro Z/28 and the AAR Cuda.
