Think about how quickly technology was progressing back then... the cars from the early 60's would be trounced by the cars from the late sixties.

In fact the 330 GT40 XJ13 would probably give a good battle to cars from the mid to late 70s if not 80s.
First off, this contradiction is real nice. Technology didn't stop in the late 60s.

Secondly, the cars you mention battling cars from the late 70s/early 80s? Absolutely not possible.

Read up on the 1981 Porsche 917K/81 and you'll see why it's not possible. https://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/6766/Porsche-917-K-81.html

Flat bottom aero came out in the 70's aka ground effect cars. It was all over after that. Nothing from the 60's can compete with that kind of downforce.

However, the 60's was definitely one of the most interesting decade for race cars, if not the most.

Random thought #4080: wish GT Sport was on Nintendo Switch.

I don't have that console, but after checking one out at a store, would be awesome to take the game anywhere, having a screen with controllers.

PlayStation should make something similar for the next console.

I'd like a GTPSP 2 actually, with all the cars up until GT6 in a vaguely semi standard quality and all the tracks up to GT6 too.

I wouldn't be surprised if Poly is one of them. We know at 99% that weather conditions will never come to GTSport, the same for night time for Le Mans and many other tracks. Meanwhile, Poly is building a cool car and track lists for the next GT and testing some ambitious tech with Sony. IMO, so many clues that GTSport will be the only GT game on PS4.

Talk to IanBell@SMS. They're looking for ideas. Must utilize neon.

I would,GT 7 or whatever its called is not into full production yet, most of PD staff(they are already a bit small compared to the competition) is working on the GTS updates. The next GT is probably in concept stage.

I might actually be bothered to do them...
I'm testing some at N400 BOP, TCS Off.
So far, I'm quickest in the GT3 RS. Nearly a second faster than the GT40 '66.
My times range 0.47.xxx-0.51.xxx.
Z8 is slowest out of 7 cars. Trying the R34 and RX-7, to see if they're competitive.

I took the plunge yesterday and bought the Aston Martin DB3S. Spending that much on one car is risky but thankfully I absolutely love it.
I think PD did a terrific job with the car - It looks and sounds very good indeed.

Hopefully we are not waiting another age for more of the Pebble Beach winners to arrive. I need the Maserati in my life!

Isnt the current one already a spyder??? or is this some odd australian joke i barely understand?

I'm kinda confused too. Granted the one already in the games is a '67 one and the Pebble Beach winner is from '66 and has the number 7 on it rather than 21. Maybe that's the only difference.

That's the 1967 model (#21 SpA Ferrari SEFAC livery) that already exists in the game. The Pebble Beach award winner is actually the 1966 Ferrari 330 P4 Drogo Spyder.

We have 2015 & 2016 years Clio R.S. 220 EDC Trophy now.

If we get different years 330 P4, it is also very reasonable.

Next-gen development will have started shortly after, if not before, GTS was released.

Content releases we are getting now will all transfer over to the next title. All other aspects of development, be it UI, game structure, what have you, will be 100% focused on GT7.

By all accounts PS5 was initially planned for ‘19 but apparently delayed to ‘20. Because PS4 sales remained strong and Sony wanted to give it’s studios more time to be ready with next-gen software.

Given GT is transitioning into an online GAAS I expect Sony want it out early next-gen.

Don't think Sony have any say in that,PD work at their own pace, they do what they want when they want, they took a major risk with GTS abandoning lots of things that made the franchise popular, the game was delayed and it released when it was ready,Sony might want a sim racer early next gen but PD has the final word. And looking at the Monaco event last year i think Sony is happy with the things GTS is doing for Esports, they are happy PD keeps working on it.

Hopefully. I mean Kaz did say that all of the cars currently in GT Sport are “Future Proof”. I don’t know about the tracks tho, but I guess so as well...
