Too bad we got the 1998 version instead of the 1999 version which the 1998 version is less powerful than the 1999 version, so we will need to make ourselves a DC2 Yellow.

If you'd want to not half arse it you'd include a current V8 supercar, not some run of the mill Commodore thst isn't old enough to be classic.
Already suggested those. This one, Kaz could potentially, actually get his hands on for the studio. Besides, the cars barely changed from 1993-2012.

So what it's a CommoNdore. It's just the skin anyway.

Weren't scapes supposed to be just these 2D images with some lighting information to correctly simulate reflections and light sources?? What kind of sorcery is THIS?? It is a 3D scapes location, or at least a multi-layer scapes location. Looks astonishing

Please please tell me where is the money? These new cars aint cheap. 10milly for that Aston. I need loot

Where is the farm money race. Every GT has one where you make more $ per min than any other way.

I need this info please

Any car suggestions that I should use in GT League’s VGT Trophy Race 5 on SSX? I had the BMW VGT for awhile, so I used it for that event. However, no luck because I was still in last position. Also, I decided to buy Subaru Viziv GT VGT and I was only at position 5 but the cars ahead pulled away. Lastly, I tried drafting them but nowhere near 1st place.

Edit: Nevermind, I brought Nissan Concept 2020 VGT and got 1st place.

I love this feature.
So cool. 👍

Home > View Car

I recently used it to make a quick video showing off my livery.

They should bring Like the Wind back. They have SSRX now and it would be perfect with Gr.1 cars and the Zonda R, P1 GTR, Vulcan, Veneno, LaFerrari, Veyron, One-77...

Scape images also have 3D spatial information so the cars can drive around. I'm surprised you just discovered this over a year after release, lol. :P It's why I love the car dealership when you select car colors. The cars drive around the scapes as you choose your color.

I believe some scapes have some surfaces modeled in such a way that allows a small amount of angular and positional motion in the camera without mucking up the scene too much. The GT350 is one of those, but there's also a regular in the Brand Central preview menu that you can check out easily (can't recall where it is, but it's a head-on shot and the camera moves down as the car approaches). You'll notice that there's still actually very little surface/roughness detail; looking closely you'll see that "bumps" are more of an illusion made by stretching the texture of the photograph over flat polygon(s), only really visible when the camera has 3D motion. Another side effect is the ground gets some weird reflective/shiny properties as the angle changes. They're still not really 3D environments but they're absolutely clever as hell.

I just wish we could utilize some of the additional 3D movement in Scapes mode for a little extra variability when shooting.

I think the DB3S might be a nice "cheaper" way to grind the nostalgic event. Insane handling and a not to shabby 220mph top speed, and I've won the race with a P4 starting 4th even with big mishaps from me. From what I remember from when I had my P4 it's about 15 seconds a race slower, but at half the price I think it's not too bad a trade off.

The new update brought some small technical annoyances to GT League. The chosen car no longer shows up on the pre-race loading screen (happened sporadically before but now it’s persistent) and the transition between post-race screen and GT League interface is less smooth. Small things, but it annoys me more than I like to admit.

It does that too on the arcade mode if you don't give the game time enough to load the previews. I think if it can't load them before hand it won't try to load them at all.

I suspect having noticed more or less the same before the update, but now the issue has definitely worsened in GT League. No matter how much reasonable time I allow transitions to load, the selected car just doesn’t appear on the loading screen. In arcade mode it still works fine.

If I play Assetto corsa competizione (pc ) and gtsport ( ps4 pro ) one after the other on same tv ( 4k hdr), the differerence was socked. Acc is much cleaner, sharper. Gts is blurry, soft, not clean in 2k mode. I dont understand...

Probably has something to do with the Anti Aliasing solution they implemented in GT Sport. PC games have superior Anti Aliasing you can choose from.

For people wondering why there isn't more tracks in the game... here's your answer. Such a waste of resources for PD to have their priorities so backwards.

I find GT5/6 photo travel as waste of resources than Scape mode. Anyway, PD likely have separate teams for modelling tracks and for making these scapes. So this is like blaming the sound engineers for the low count of tracks in the game.

The scapes are a cool feature,i don't think it's a waste of resources. And the team used for scapes doesn't seem to be the same one that models the track, remember that scapes aren't exactly modelled it's alot of photos together to create the ilusion of a full 3d scape.

Modelling 3D scapes is exactly the same skillset as modelling tracks. So if a scapes team can do that, they can model tracks. So my point remains. And even if they aren't cross trained (unlikely), PD could increase track output by hiring more 3d modellers and culling the scapes team, while keeping the same headcount. Scapes isn't an integral feature like sound, they have that option if they want.

I don't blame staff, I blame Yamauchi.

That feature is unique and super cool.

Why can't it just be appreciated for what it is?

GT has significantly less core virtual assets (cars, tracks) than its competitors despite PD having significantly more resources at its disposal. I think scapes should be at the bottom of the priority list for this reason.

Tracks are also 3D photo locations. ;)

I’m actually surprised about how much I like the Z8. I completely ignored it in GT6. It was just sitting in my garage (I had the 15th Anniversary Edition of GT6).
