And when @Greatbee writes that he likes PDs mindset because it fits with his imagination how a racing game should be - why does this seem so outlandish so that he sould explain it?
Should he say that he likes the range of cars just to be told afterwards that most are standards and how many duplicates there are?
Or that he likes the GT mode just to be answered that other games does have a much better carreer mode with better AI?
Or maybe the graphics? I mean, it only runs between 25 and 50 frames, other games do a much better job!

Look, he just likes it how it is and i am sure he knows already whats "so bad" in GT from reading this forums.

This is the textbook example of overreaction: I ask genuinely curious about what his idea of a racing game should be (which is what he actually said, not his "Imagination") and you assume its me saying its outlandish and demanding an answer. I don't know him (in fact, this thread is the first time I've seen him anywhere) so I'd like to know what does he want in a racing sim. Like I said, Me playing this series for the time that I have doesn't exactly tell me what his idea of a racing sim is.

You know what's funny,we have groups of people complaining about a game that no one has a clue about. Sounds like my kids when I told them there was no Santa,Easter Bunny or Tooth Fairy.

I very well can seperate hate from from criticism, its rather the otherway - that some guys seem to fuse their criticism with a healthy portion of ,,hate''!

You seem to think its OK to throw around accusations of this nature and then not support them.

It's not. You are making claims of behavior that would run counter to the AUP.....

"You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack any individual or any group."

....and as such you will from this point on support them (via the site reporting tool) and stop making public accusations of AUP violations that you can't back up.

Continue to make such accusations publically and without the ability to support them and you will find that you are breaking the AUP...

"You will not knowingly post any material that is false, misleading, or inaccurate."

...this applies to anyone who thinks throwing around blanket, public accusations of hateful behavior and then refusing to support such a claim.

If he would've stated what he thinks is good in GT i am 100% sure similar statements as i stated above would have been brought up, as always!
One just can like GT here, one has to explain it and one has to be teached how wrong the own view is because you know, GT6 is such an incomplete fail.
The one problem with this 'speculation' is that its not how it actually played out at all is it.

Its a bit odd to engage in a speculative example when the real one can be read by all, not to mention that you once again seem to have forgotten how a discussion forum works and that the AUP doesn't censor opinion from any side.

...I read all the posts made so far and can't help but wonder whether it's the language barrier that's playing havok here. ron86 and that other guy aren't native speakers so maybe they are not "getting" the subtleties?

Not making excuses of course; just wondering aloud, folks.

And that private, invite only BETA thingy? Now that sounds promising.

Because even though he may like the game very much, he probably doesn't think that every single aspect of the game is as perfect as it could ever be. Rather, he probably finds some general aspect of design or the approach of the game to certain things to fit perfectly with his liking.

But it's a massive game, and those sorts of things can mean very different things to different people. If someone says "McDonalds fits perfectly with how I think a fast food outlet should be", it's perfectly reasonable to ask "How do you mean?" It's not necessarily a lead in to anything, it's simply a request for more information because the initial statement is so broad.

It's a discussion forum, a member posted an opinion that is vague but potentially interesting and worthy of discussion and so someone asked a follow-up question. That's fine. That's what this place is for.

Whatever happened to you to make you so gun-shy of sharing your opinion, you've got to be able to shake it off. Maybe you ran into a troll. Maybe you ran into an :censored:hole. Maybe you ran into a perfectly normal person who was having a bad day. Maybe you said something daft and you got reamed for it.

Just talk like a normal person. The world is not out to get you. People will agree or disagree or simply want to talk more, and that's all fine.

It is a good sign.

It confirms that:

:)

I can neither confirm nor deny the possible existence of the slight chance that I may or may not have a tendancy to lean one way or the other when faced with the dilemma of whether to love or hate Polyphony and their supporters, or to observe from a purely objective perspective in quiet anticipation of further news and information regarding an upcoming product.

I have a PS4. I bought it two days before they announced the price drop. That sucked.

Man I wish PD was like Evolution Studios in the sense that you didn't really have to pry for information and the chaps on Twitter would get you so hyped for regular updates and communication.

I wonder what PD is up to now....

Anyways, I bet an announcement will surface next Friday. If not then, well.... Umm..... Patience?

They were silent because they didn't want to repeat what happened with GT5 and livery editor and cause backlash...
That still doesn't explain how May is considered early for them...
And there's no need in betting when it's gonna be, just have to find out when that event in London is

So looks like this London event is indeed a thing. Do we think we will get details before or after? If the beta is to be demo'd there will it be available to us straight afterwards? Anyone else find it weird that a beta would get a demo?

What day is the London event? I'd love to see some GT Sport. :)
That's the current $64M question! Further up thread a GTA guy posted to say it was happening and then Jordan liked the post, which I assume is a hint that we are on the right track, but other than that we know diddly.

To be fair, what happened with those things was they announced them and then said nothing as time went on. Had they kept people informed, even if that meant saying "this isn't going as well as expected, we're going to have to push the date back" then I think they'd have gotten a much better response.

I mean, if you look at other companies that do that you see a vocal minority losing their 🤬 and raging, and pretty much everyone else saying "calm down, it's great that they've told us, they should keep it up". A lot of gamers are adults now and are very pleased to be kept informed, even if the news is bad.

I mean, it kind of applies to everything in life, right? If something goes wrong, you want to know about it as soon as possible. Maybe you take it badly, but mostly you'll be grateful that someone had the honesty to tell you straight up what was going on.

That line of reasoning doesn't pass the smell test. I can understand not wanting to make grand announcements about features they aren't sure will make it into the beta but there's no reason whatsoever that they can't release pictures or video of confirmed content at this point, especially considering we are in the launch window and the game should be just about ready for market. Do you really believe they don't have a single car or track license ready at this point?
