Let's face it, an announcement of an announcement is kind of lame. But in this context, where the big old hibernating bear that is PD at last has woken up and coming out of it's cave with style, is indeed big and great news.

I'm looking forward to tuning in and see what is revealed and shown during the stream. Not having high hopes or expectations, although I wouldn't mind being 'blown away'. I like being surprised.

This. It's great that next week we'll find out a lot more of the game and a lucky few will get to experience it but as it stands right now we know nothing new. So nothing to get too excited about. I'll wait to see footage and learn more details before I get too excited.

I'd be there at 7.45 hitting F5 repeatedly until you get two as I don't think they will be there for very long.

Has there been any word on whether or not GTS will run at 60 FPS?

It will run at 24 FPS for a more cinematic experience.

The GT movie, however, will run at 60.

As far as I know right now, the press conference itself will not be streamed by PlayStation as it is happening - an edit will be shown a few hours later, immediately before the competition broadcasts begin. I will be co-hosting the official live stream and we'll review everything that is announced.

Having said that, I will be sharing news from the press conference live via GTPlanet, so you'll have all the news the minute that it's released.

Tickets for the Community Event on the 20th is something all of you in the UK need to be ready for. In addition to PlayStation UK's tickets (which opens at 8:00am UK time tomorrow, May 13th), GTPlanet has been assigned 50 tickets for our community members. Tickets will be reserved via the GTPlanet Store, and I will announce their availability on the blog shortly.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to open up the reservations, but keep an eye on this thread and our homepage for updates. I'll try to give you guys a heads up so those of you who are sure you can attend will be able to reserve them.
