Just get ready for Thursday and Friday. ;)
I'm rooting for 300 pages by then :D:

yeah! 3/5 songs from GT2. My CD was a bit damaged so songs wouldn't play on most of career, but I remember spending tons of time drifting around on arcade on Motorsport Land. One of songs that I remember was Mansun - Take it Easy Chicken instrumental. The feels are too strong ;-;

5OUL ON D!SPLAY isn't even in the top 5??? I'm disappointed.... :(

Probably because it hurts our eyes from all the rolling they do after seeing that title. :P

But really, I think GT2 had such a strong showing because it was a formative title for most of us. GT5 and 6 have an uphill battle too: with custom soundtracks, some songs might never get heard!

No Are you gonna go my way?

Strangely enough, it didn't garner a single vote. Poor Lenny.

Also, a distinct lack of Dogg's Turismo 3.

GT Planet. . . I just want to say the nostalgia in here, its making me all warm and fuzzy inside! When I see that unlike a platform or general game forum, we all share a love for one game in particular, it amazes me just how this franchise has touched all of us. Being here this week feels like a family reunion, like I know each and every one of you as family just by this game that connects us.

Nice post! We are in this together!

I've been a member of the GT community longer than I've been a part of any other section of the Internet. It's been a longer chunk of time than I spent in public school! The mystery and excitement that surrounds reveals like this hasn't diminished over the years.

Nostalgia's a powerful thing... And we've got a lot more left, don't you worry!

:gtpflag:

I want to share my love for this game by doing one more thing than blather and get emotional here on the boards. It occurred to me that I can make my little stash of videos available to the community and the world. These are videos offered for download from various services and game outlets after E3 2004, which was supposed to be the year of release. I doubt that many people remember these.

This first one is an interview with Kazunori-sensei and some other fun and games at Twin Ring Motegi (woops, not Tsukuba!), featuring the voice of Translator-san.

Another peek, perhaps at the same event.

For those who want to relive a taste of what it's like in a Gran Turismo reveal, this is a cut down video from the 2004 E3 reveal featuring Kazunori and Translator-san.

I'll have a few more tomorrow, as I'm late for bed. :P

Looking foward to it! Its so far gotten me to replay GT1-6 all week this week! Thanks guys, for taking the effort to shower us with nostalgia on this train ride!

@girabyt3 - Do not double-post, especially to bypass a media limit built into the forums to make loading easier on other members.

The retrospective article themes have been locked in for a few days now. It shouldn't be too hard to guess what the themes are that are still upcoming... but it's guessing the contents that should be the challenge. :D
