So the graphics look improved, but not class leading. Smoke and shadows aren't great.
Sounds....... only improvement was the turbo flutter! Tyres are so poor. It's embarrassing.
Physics - okay we can't tell without playing it, but there's some very odd things going on. Particularly poor when the car spins or collides.
Replays have the same rubbish angles as always. Tracks as lifeless as others have said. Doesn't matter too much when you're playing though.
I forgot to pay attention were there skid marks from the spins?
In the oval race it looked like they were in control behind the safety car? Looked cool. Also full course cautions are an interesting addition. It sounds cool in theory (more realistic) but I can't help but think it's going to be seriously tedious.
The driving standards are poor from these drivers, but it is the first time playing so that's forgivable.
No damage model at all. Probably better than having a crap one.

So for being "50%" done... I hope they have spent most of their time on the physics engine and the online gameplay... because what we can see and hear is not much different to GT6.

I will be holding off before release at this point. Shame.

There is a huge issue here IMO. We're in spectator mode, to watch the race as if it's a real FIA event, but we're still using replay camera angles, not broadcast type angles. A real race would be impossible to follow like this.

Realistically it should be like a normal replay and allow the player to choose who they're watching. For a major event like this, they should have at least one director, maybe two working on different feeds to find interesting battles.

This is not promoting this well as a professional e-sport for people to watch, as opposed to something like the iRacing pro series.

I've been really annoyed driving online in Forza lately, as there's a lot of unnecessary contact that makes clean, fast driving almost impossible. It's been a while since I've ran with the public in GT6. If this is anything to go by, I guess FM6 has prepared me for GT Sport?

:-/

So if you're in last place just crash and the game will group the cars together again

Caution clock confirmed!

They probably can't do that properly, because I assume the tracks would look horrible from such angles.
Less switching around would be nice though.

Don't think I've seen any decent overhead or long distance camera shots. Just the same old inside the confines of the track stuff. It's a bit of a shame, I was hoping with the PS4 they'd have enough power to get some decent view distance. Nice helicopter or blimp shots are great for racing.

I see dudes are complaining about the racing here. I wonder if they themselves will be any better in the same event and same situation.

I might not be faster, but I'd be cleaner.

Cameras are are locked to one car, not the track. PD need to totally rethink this if they're going to advertise it as like watching a real race.
Definitely something that was on my mind. Even the trailer did it better at some points with the overhead shots and the faux heli-cam.
