I know the game has bugs, but seriously, I never expect a flawless product 6 months from release. I think they have plenty of time to work out the little kinks. That's why I shake my head a little at the judgements. I can see if this was the final product, but from what weve heard today, clearly it's not.
If anything, that's when most of the things should be solidified, because even though it is 6 months away, development doesn't continue all the way up to that point. They still have to submit the game getting greenlight, and then games usually release about a month or so after that. The window is much smaller than you think.

Or add AA. This literally looks like GT6.

Are you seriously using a stream capture to assess image quality. Amazing.

No idea what to make of today. My overall feeling is disappointment. Absolutely gutted there is no beta, so crap of PDI to tease us with it and then not come through with it. No idea what we can't play the build we've just seen others playing.

Car models looked very good but the tracks we saw seemed inconsistent, Brands and the Ring I thought were very nice but others looked unfinished. No doubt photomode is going to be something very special but I'm worried the in joke will be The Real Photomode Simulator. It's great to have a truly sublime photomode but only if the actual racing is of a similarly high standard. Not going to comment on the sounds as I just can't get that tyre squeal out of my head but if I had to use one word it would be inconsistent.

Didn't see any real stand out new features and we have been promised the future of racing games. So with six months to go there seems an awful lot of work to do. Fingers crossed they can pull it off but at the moment I'm seeing the same old mistakes being made.

Overall as a base I'd say the game has potential. Still has lots of work to be done but of course right now it is a beta. I think after the community event tomorrow, PD will know where they stand. To think though that PD remade plenty of the assets from the ground up shows that they have been busy.

I see some improvements in the sound department but right now it's decent at best.

There could have been at least 3 different trailers to play.

The way they chucked Toni though  shame.

Jordan did well I must say.

The event itself looked pretty decent.
Unfortunately the argument could be made that remaking the assets from scratch should not have been at the top of the list. We were sold the idea for years that they were craftsmen and the premium content was next gen ready and therefore a lower output of cars was more acceptable. It's been used as justification for years on these forums. Now we find out that wasn't the case, at least for GTSport. I expect all the old premiums to be in GT7 though.

Well, after heard this build is only like 50% finished condition...I feel a lot better.
Still the HUD looks amazing from those screen shots. The best in the racing game genre I can say.

Overall, not bad for a beta build, but I just hope there's improvement between now and release. If there's a delay, then that's fine. The game is good but it could still use work.

I find it hard to grasp that a game that's been in development for 3 years and is due to release in 6 months is 50% complete.
It's probably just a number they pulled out of the air. 50% of content completely finished might be more likely but most of the coding must be done or today would not have been possible. The other 50% that is incomplete could be 50-90% complete for all we know. It must be or they wouldn't be releasing it in November.

You can compare it to Brands Hatch and The Ring though and they looked far better than that. You need to realise that it's ok to criticise if you can back it up.

As much as I want for PD to make a great game that will impress people I think today's news & live stream were disappointing.

All VGTs were supposed to be released by late 2014, FIA partnership was supposed to be in GT6, GTS beta was canceled, all GT6's premiums were supposedly PS4-ready.
The races at Brands Hatch & Nordschleife were pretty bad imo, lots of mistakes, spin-outs, people bouncing off walls and unsafely returning to track without a scratch, some questionable overtakes... if heavy damage was enable probably nobody would complete the race. Seeing all that bs in a "FIA related event" is just silly, after all one of the main things FIA talks about is safety.
All of that simply makes the game look bad, it didn't look like a proper sim, it looked like a kids arcade game.
