You can compare it to Brands Hatch and The Ring though and they looked far better than that. You need to realise that it's ok to criticise if you can back it up.

lmao
Back it up? What back up have you shown? A screencap of a stream is the only thing you have shown and that says it all about the validity of your so called argument.
The only difference you are seeing is because once has foliage and the other does not.

they have issues with shadows..

I can't help but feel a little guilty: after years of hoping for the PS2-era assets to be scrubbed from the PS3 games, it seems Polyphony has heard those of us that said "no last-gen assets" and took it to heart. The cruel irony being that, largely, the Premiums didn't need to be ditched, as they were, in PD's own words, "future-proof".

I'd love to know what's different about, say, the Z4 in GT Sport and the one in GT6, from a modelling perspective. They certainly don't look any different, and as pointed out earlier, the SLS has familiar modelling quirks.

There's still a lot to be covered though, folks. Graphics and sounds are only two parts of the equation.

@PzR Slim is saying that because all 3 tracks were viewed under the same streaming quality it is possible to make a fair comparison.

First Impressions:
Love what the game is trying to do, this is very similar to what I've always wanted out of GT. However, their lack of consistency is killing them. I'm not too critical on sounds but a lot of people are, They over exaggerate the heck out of them though. I think the graphics look phenomenal, fixing the jagged edges and 2D sections will do wonders for this game.
The 1 thing though that will kill this game out of everything is the price. It will retail as a full $60 game which I wouldn't mind except for the fact that you have to pay for online services ($50 per year) for a game with what looks like has an online component that makes up 70% of it.
I hope that GT Sport becomes very successful because I love GT games but their hardcore driver fanbase (Who will most likely be their highest profit market) are moving on to other sims at an alarming rate.

I've said both good and bad about the reveal. You have said only good. Can you really find nothing to criticise from today?

Well, after heard this build is only like 50% finished condition...I feel a lot better.
Still the HUD looks amazing from those screen shots. The best in the racing game genre I can say.

Sorry, not buying it. I truly think it is a figure pulled out of thin air. I doubt they really have half the game to do with ~21 weeks (mid October) to going gold.

I agree the HUD looks slick and all the extras (as I see them) like photo mode look great but the gameplay and sound from what I've seen so far is underwhelming which is a shock given the very long build up/wait.

I won't comment at all about the cancelled? beta.🤬

I know I'll be flamed for posting this, but what if PD finally understood how making money with DLC works, decided to pull a Forza and include only 137 cars in the base game and add the other premium cars from GT6 as paid DLC?
I hope I'm wrong but that could be a possibility.

Really enjoyed the stream. Can't wait for November, or academy perhaps. Lost track of all what's been said but I really liked the yellow flags and speed limited section during the nurb race. Very impressed

I think it is only fair to accept some issues with a game 6 months from launch and not wade in guns blazing like some do.

I am certainly looking forward to GT Sport finally landing and I will undoubtedly get great enjoyment from it. I am not expecting it to be my sim of choice for 'racing' as PCars, and Assetto Corsa hopefully, will have that honour. If what we end up with is a reasonable improvement over the experience of GT6 I will more than content. After all GTS features my favourite car from GT6 - The Toyota TS030 Hybrid - plus quite a few cool additions just from this early showing.

We will also see my most requested feature arrive in the Livery Editor which I delighted to see. Hopefully it is a fully fledged component but it will be fabulous nonetheless.

My only remaining concern is just how competent the AI will be...

Well....let's see what they can clean up in 6 months. And why is everyone complaining about graphics??? Yea their important but it's not the most important thing. As long as the game plays excellent then that's good enough. Skip graphics. I want better AI, Physics, damage and etc...........
