Ok lets sum up the problems with the game (that I can see) that have been more or less confirmed.

  • Sounds are still meh
  • ???

Seriously where are all the complaints coming from?
The atrocity that I wasted hours watching just to see a few neat looking cars and the ability to say "yes, this is a lovely damn tree".

Where did you hear that?
When this event was first revealed in an email to GTA folks, it referred to it as the final beta event. About 50 pages back we discussed what this meant, if there had already been beta events and where the public beta came into it. Now as I say we know they meant it really was the last public beta event, since we won't be downloading one at all.

  • Weird physics from GT6 still there (jerking, wall crashes, etc.)
  • Graphics are better but not jaw-dropping (shadows, aliasing, etc.)
  • No info about damage, time of day/weather, how things will be setup, etc.
+more.

  • Haven't even played the game
  • I disagree
  • Yeah that's a good point.

Ahhh. And I skimmed the last 70-ish pages to get caught up to date. Hahaha

Joke post? Looks like a PS3 game, Lack of physics for colisions, still bumper car racing, crappy sounds, no detail on weather, Day/Night cycle. Low car count.
You haven't even seen the damn game! 80% of those arguments are mute!

What thing? Did I miss something?

The livestream. That gave everyone that watched a first-look at the game; ergo, the opinions of what's been evidenced.

What on earth did you expect?

I don't know about @Angel but I expected a competent showing of the features talked about during the initial conference, or to briefly expand on them, not a series of races that was bereft of crashing.

LOL yeah just like Gt5 and 6. the game is not going to look much different at release, and we are judging what they decided was the best they could to show it off, think about that.

Forza has had 2 games now and has 600 cars, 30 tracks. People who played it like eurogamer were underwhelemed and mention bad sounds again and it looking like GT6, only with a fraction of the content. 3 years into the ps4's life. WTF has sony and PD done to this franchise?

I actually completely missed the live stream. I had assumed that the stream would be a showcase of the new features. Seems pretty pointless if it wasn't... :ill:

Possibly something with more information that would convince me that day 1 purchase was even a worthwhile investment. All I walked away with was even more questions, haunting tire squeals, and a visual of nice trees behind "the best in the world". Lovely selling points. Yes, we have a livery editor, and yes, visuals are pretty, but other than those and the flags, what's gonna be selling points.

Here is what EU's collector edition has.

  • Mercedes-AMG GTS 1:43 scale model (with exclusive paint job)
  • Gran Turismo Sport PlayStation 4 Game
  • $2,500,000 in game credits
  • Livery Sticker Packs
  • 3 x pre-order packs
  • Racing Helmet Chrome
  • PS4 Avatars (60)
  • Steelbook case
  • Apex booklet
  • Special Packaging
Something sticks out like a sore thumb here.. livery sticker packs tied to a special edition? Is that IRL or in game? Kinda odd and hopefully stickers aren't tied to microtransactions in game.

Yep, what an awful way to showcase one of sony's biggest series. This franchise is being woefully mis-managed in every way.

There is definitely a RUF logo, but I don't think we can say what Premiums RUFs are 100% confirmed
And unfortunately I think this may also indicate that Porsche has not been freed from the clutches of evil :indiff: ... not confirmation, but an indication. I doubt they would have put energy into super-preem RUF if they got the green light on Porsche.

It looks like they might be.

Personally, I can't think of any other way a handful of digital knick-knacks and a steel case are worth almost double the price of the game itself.

Heard that some guys who played the game today said this was untouched GT6 physics. Most positive review I saw from one of these guys was "Physic's a bit better than GT6, but then when had very little driving time - 5min oval, 10min Brands Hatch and 3 laps Nurburgring." I'm a bit afraid as this should really have been the main core of the new game, but there's still some time left. If any GTP members who attended can give their input on physics, I'd like to hear that.

The news keeps getting worse.

What progress?

Im not against you here, but i haven't seen anything to complain about myself.
Progress in gameplay? There was nothing to say much of anything about, that is the point. There was nothing new or standout in gameplay, nothing to wow. No weather effects, no night, no damage of any kind, no tyre marbles etc, it just appeared to be GT6 with new HUD and overall better graphics.

Hence, disappointment. I'm not disappointed by what I saw, rather what I didn't. I expected to be wowed.
