Jordan will probably be reliving this every night when he goes to sleep
But seriously, he ran a fine race. The whole race was as thrilling as this actually, even more so thanks to Tom's commentary

Please note that the video was recorded off-screen so does not reflect actual quality of the game.

Think of it as "Gran Turismo 7: Prologue". This game seems to be GT mixed with the Project Cars-esque, rather than sticking to its lineage.
I think some people forget what the word prologue actually means. This game is an eSports, online focused title with no traditional single player GT mode or anything else related to it we've come to expect from a GT title. A prologue is an introduction to something bigger, but in the same vein. Giving you an idea of what to expect from the main event.

They didn't call it a prologue because it isn't one. This is an off shoot, a spin off title.

I would still like to see FIA geared events when GT turns to its release of GT7! It would be very exciting! Online play definitly looks like its going in the definite right direction, I must say!

So, wait? Did they really take down all of the videos that GTP put up?

Unfortanatly, yes all primary stream material was taken down from the site for GTS (or at least it seems).

You are right. I thought of GTS as one because it has less features than a GT game normally would have. Did not think of the actual meaning there.

Damn, I missed the race! What happened?

I have the full race recorded off-screen. However, not uploading it just yet until position clearer. Not worth getting into trouble over. But keep an eye on my channel over the next few days. The race recording is the same quality and position as the clip above. There's more to watch while you wait...

For example, Jordan warming up for the race and looking very professional... 👍

That's lame...I mean, I guess it's possible that they decided they didn't want to show off unfinished assets? Not a fan of them doing it though. Hopefully the wait for more information/footage won't be long.

I downloaded the 458 video from the Nurb and there was a lot of stuttering and frame rate hitches. A lot. Like every few seconds. Probably has something to do with it being in replay and not directly captured game footage but I'm just guessing.

For people wondering about car count, I don't think you should be miffed on having so few cars. Gran Turismo 1 had about, what... 170 or so cars? Some people will argue GT5 has about 200 or so cars- especially those Premium models while shunning out the 1K (give or take) Standard cars. Since GT Sport isn't a regular GT title, don't expect the "encyclopedia of cars" we are used to in GT games. Only car issues I'm concerned with are what and how many cars we'll see in GT Sport. When I shared thoughts in my racing/driving game blog on GT Sport after the unveil ceremony, I wondered if we'll see some other kinds of racing and racing cars in GT Sport. I want to believe we can have something like Formula 3 or something. I can surely imagine running Formula 3 around Brands Hatch GP or the new Tokyo Expressway course. While not likely, could you even imagine Formula E in GT Sport? Most haters would probably not complain about the sounds of Formula E since most feel cars in GT sound like vacuums or R/C cars anyways, so sound wouldn't be a problem for haters.

There still isn't too much to complain about on the car front. I am actually interested in that sweet Alfa Romeo 4C race car.

Did you get the 1080p60 version? That one will require a pretty beefy PC to play back smoothly, it is high bitrate H.264 on top of the progressive 60fps @ 1080p.

Replay-mode was like that on the Nürburgring. Other tracks seemed better without big slowdowns. While driving it was very acceptable, but probably still subject to improvement.

Yes to 1080/60. i7-4790k + GTX970. It seems to hitch when the camera changes views. Pretty sure I saw someone else mentioning the same thing earlier. Just watched it again and there's some tearing too.

If that is true, then the negatives really do outweigh the positives this time around. Most of the 'hate' comments are made by those that only know so much on the subject. (YouTuber's)

Nah, for all the criticism and its noise, counter with the poll results on this thread ;)

(I'm an "I'll wait")

I blame it all on this guy:
Comparing GTS to Infinite Warfare and quoting Donald Trump. I'm loosing brain cells.

My reaction to the first 1:30:
