Yup, this is giving me a Forza vibe on how Turn 10 claimed to remodel every car from the ground up for the Xbox One, but some cars in FM5 & even FM6 still look like they're from the 360 generation such as the SW20 MR2. You also have a point about the S and 400. I'm still puzzled that PD didn't do similar things back in GT6.
Doesn't GlassEgg model the cars for Turn 10? I don't know for sure myself.

Exactly. For example, why would they completely re-scan the 2011 BWM Z4 GT3 car when a newer one would have been actually racing?
They would not necessarily need to scan the cars again. All the same reference data would apply from the first use but the 3D model would have been refined to take advantage of the higher polygon count. I understand what you mean though.

Honestly, I think both companies bend the truth in that regard. While some models may have been spruced up, it seems incredibly inefficient to toss away something like the Z4 GT3 after spending six months on it, to build something indistinguishable.

Call it my internal optimist, but I'm guessing, given Kaz' strong BMW ties lately (racing with them this weekend, wearing their brand at the event last week), the M6 GT3 will be shown in game sooner as opposed to later.

Ill go as far as saying that we might get to see the M6 GT3 in the Nurburgring GTS Build this weekend.

Do you guys think that the full game will have the 900° animation ???

It's sad that this was planned into GT5 Prologue but never implemented, as it shows in those two videos below:

And if you play GT HD , you can see this animation from the external view too.

GT4 had the same.
I hope to see it in GTS.

Probably, but I'm not sure.

I agree, it's nuts on why they would go through all of that effort to model a car not too long ago just to scrap it and try again. It's unnecessary and just not efficient; I would have rather spended that time modelling another new model. IMO, I just thought they needed to go back and redo the models from GT5P & GTHD and just keep adding new cars.

It's a shame though, they could have brought the car list to 500-600 cars by now. Well, 200-400 without duplicates; I never bothered figuring out how many premium dupes there are. Either way, that just sounded like a better outcome to me.

I hope so and I need the option to turn off wheel and arms.

Doesn't look like a Forza 4 model to me.

Mostly definitely didn't have pop-up headlights or the ability to take the top off in Forza 4 either.

That MR2 is easily one of the lowest-quality models in FM6. Definitely still has its roots in the FM4 model, since it suffers from the same slightly off proportions.

According to Kaz the Livery editors you can create your own decals. That's big.

Hmmmm, I wonder how far we can go with this. My GT1 Race Mods need to know!

(NINJA-EDIT) You read my mind.

Is it just me, or does that MR2 look like a detailed standard car from GT6?

It's just you. It's on a whole other level to any Standard (since, y'know, it has an interior), but it's certainly not up to the standards of quality the rest of FM6 has, with a handful of other notable exceptions (R32, 22B).

But let's keep the talk focused on GT Sport. 👍

Speaking of which, do any of you mod chaps know if any news articles about GTS at the Nurb 24hr might be incoming...?

News articles? Possibly.
Do we have any writing/mod staff on the ground at the race? No.

25fps? What are you talking about? It stays around 40-50 most of the time even with 24 cars on track and weather+day transition on ps4...

I was exaggerating for the sake of it but didn't went far enough so it all failed. (like "it runs at 1,5FPS on a good day") In any case Project CARS runs at 40-45 at night, with rain and max grid.

Point remains - it looks underwhelming and runs at 45FPS. To me this means the hardware isn't there and PD made the right choice.
